I think its style and over hype over substance. Die hard fans of the leading actors love it. I presume that is…
I thought contrary opinions were allowed . Or is the opinion of liking the show the only correct one.
I enjoy having heated discussions about shows -both positive or negative. I dont take it personally. I even like to hear what is wrong with the shows I love and what people hate about them.
The only think I don't tolerate is the moral brigade when it comes to dictating what fiction is allowed, because its a slippery slope and hypocrisy - toxic not okay, glorying violence and mafia type shows is okay.
I don't think you're talking about more "L", you're talking about more sex. Even before episode 7 where they finally…
I think any analysis - defending or attacking should be encouraged. I would not find you at fault if you went to shoot down a show if you have watched a few episodes and there are valid personal reasons. I have attacked shows and actors that I liked ( Last Twilight ) because of how they wrote and developed the characters of Day/Mohk.
I'm a data analyst but love the subjectivity of analysing literature or dramas because there are so many grey areas and different ways of thinking. (Wish i had done english literature).
I think that are valid subjective reasons to like or dislike something. My valid personal reasons for not liking the show is that I don't like the royalty costume fairy tale romance setting. I feel I cant take it seriously and plot does not engage me. I prefer messy dramas like Only friends. It would be wrong for me to criticise the show because I dislike NuNew and his acting (Zee is okay) as that is my personal bias . Im sure you dislike some actors or people without any good reason. They just annoy you.
Despite my opinions I do want the show to do well because its not GMMTV.

What has really annoyed me is that the I had read that the moderator of a TNP fan group told its members to vote low scores for another show (Reset I think) and to vote high on this one. Some fans are too invested.
Also there are about 150 reviews when the drama has not finished. A lot of them suspiciously have a 10
This show is getting so boring to me for some reason.
I think its style and hype (and popularity of actors) that is driving this show. I find story line unconvincing and just dont care enough about fairy tale royalty drama. I was bored and dropped it.
Just binged up to ep 9 and I'm still not sure if I really like it. Like it's not bad, but they started a 1000…
I think its style and over hype over substance. Die hard fans of the leading actors love it. I presume that is what is driving the popularity - as I have read they are the most popular bl actors (I may be wrong). If it was First/Khao or other couples i like, then I would be more into it. But I would still see it for what it is.
Its done well for Thai bl such as settings, costumes, filming but it doesn't grab me. Im not into the fantasy royalty stories. I prefer something like Only Friend, My Stubborn, My Stand it or what the Chinese/Taiwan produce eg Revenged Love, History - rather then a high budget fairy tale costume fantasy drama - I cant play along with the fantasy story - even if it was a bl pairing that I liked - so I have dropped it.
One thing i hate is misogynists. Calling Carrie a c*nt makes you the c*nt. Grow up and stop acting like an assh.ole…
But you are assuming that Shane would have been interested in Jonathan if she was not around and they would have automatically gotten together.
Judging by his actions, I dont think Shane ever really cared about Jonathan. Shane was selfishly fixated on his needs - manipulating his friend to get what he needed. He didnt care that Shane was hurting, spiralling, destroying his academic future. He even pursued Shanes friend Carrie .
Yet because she is a woman, she gets the hate. I really dont know why bl audiences are so misogynistic.
maybe there's season 2 for this series? i dont understand why these people give low rates. for me i did enjoy…
A lot of people enjoyed show and loved the second couple. I am one of them. I love games and toxic relationships in fiction. (eg Only Friends, My Stand-in)
But a lot of people disapproved of the ChainJorn plotline and voted series down because it did not meet their moral standards.
These people have no problem romanticising violence, and mafia type drama shows where bodies are beaten up, people murdered, violence is glorified. However they disapprove toxic relationships being romanticised. They believe that writers and producers should not romanticise toxic relationships in FICTION as it will affect us and we will not know right from wrong.
There are other things that are worth criticising the show about - too many couple stories in 6 episodes, no resolution and left on cliff-hanger, music over nc scenes, plot issues, casting issues.
lol - no but people ate it up ( a lot of posts wanting more)
For what it was - it got a lot of engagement, it made an impact and a lot of us enjoyed it despite the issues and shortcomings. AND the male actors were cute - especially Chain/Jorn.
Its disgusting that the company is not paying the actors
You listed South Korean actors first so these ones are more likely to be selected. Also they are more known and popular - not necessarily the best looking.
Ji Chang Wook is pretty average in looks (amongst this set of very attractive men) but does not deserve first place - people are not voting based on looks
Of course no fan has read their contract. However, GIR’s public statements stated that they indeed chose to…
Thank you for you response and I am sorry that you, and other fans are going through this. I have yet to watch the show but sympathise with the actors as well.
It would be nice if GIR is guilty and the other side goes to court to force performance of the contract. (I don't know enough about contract or Thai law)
GIR /Smart have more to lose by terminating the contract. Effectively ruining Smarts career. Their behaviour is also financially illogical unless there is a valid legal reason. I was trying to understand how fans believe only one side is guilty without knowledge and facts. I guess its irrelevant now.
Because GIR literally put out a statement saying they were breaking their contract lol
I dont have a hidden agenda. I have not even watched the show (Im looking forward to watching) and dont have a favourite. Feel sorry for both boom/smart.
Obviously you dont care for facts and simply BELIEVE. Im more curious about people who are so certain they KNOW EVERYTHING rather then supporting either company.
Playing devils advocate - even if GIR terminated first - they may have had a valid basis that gave them legal right to terminate under the contract - ie the other party did not perform as required and refuses too.
GIR /Smart have more to lose by terminating the contract. Effectively ruining Smarts career. Their behaviour is also financially illogical. Unless there is a valid legal reason. Im curious about the facts and curious how everyone knows who is at fault.
It will be interesting if this goes to court - and it should if ONE PARTY BREACHES as there are financial losses. I just dont know which party breached the contract. (Terminating is not a breach if the contract allows it.)
This may all be above you since you can only believe instead of reason
Most asinine review - dont like it because you don't approve of the relationship, you don't get the ending you want, and the toxic relationship.
Funny how when a series romantises violence - like when its a mafia plot, then we can do away with morals and approve of toxic behaviour like violence and murder and physical assault. Why dont your explain how that type of behaviour is not acceptable either. Or do you only patronise those who enjoy viewing toxic relationships and messy dramas.
Or do you have selective morals. You dont mind physical violence but draw the line at toxic relationship. In China they have censored bl dramas because they dont approve. Imagine if we started censoring dramas based on our selective morals - there would be very little to watch.
I gave this a 10. Loved the novel and the drama series. Its one I rewatch often.
It has a riveting story, with interesting characters, and character development. This is missing in a lot of Thai BL dramas.
Poom (Joe) is such a good actor. In the first episode when he gets off the lift and Ming grabs his arm, you can see the range of emotions conveyed, angst, pain, fear, regret.

For a moment there I thought Thai bl would never leave school

A lot of these translations are done badly by google translate and do not make sense.

If anyone has watched both, how are they different. Which one is easier to follow. Thanks

Enjoyed his performance and thought he was cute.
I would love to see him act in more dramas.
