Same. I prefer darker. Im bored of the fluffy cloying bl dramas. I dont want to see couples being cute and acting overly sweet on screen (there is a place but its overdone).
I want messy and toxic with a good script and story.

I havent watched this yet so cant comment if its any good.

I think its a great production but I didnt enjoy it for various reasons. I can appreciated it the work and acting but it didnt interest me enough through no fault of its own. I dont dislike the ending, I can enjoy dramas where there are no definitives - where the ending is open to interpretation or when there are no resolutions - or where an ending leaves me empty.

I feel torn when I vote. I want to acknowledge that it was good but I also want to vote based on how I enjoy the show.

From previous articles it sounded like he disagreed with the NTS decision that it was tax evasion. So now he has admitted liability and paid up.
I think its this is the best way for him to deal with it - admit fault, take responsibility, and move on.

Its a good question. I dont know if that type of character can actually love.

When I watched season 1, i felt like he did have feelings and he came close, but love is not enough for him. He is selfish and more interested in new challenges/things and this part of his nature would always come first. Boston knew that about himself.

I mean you can love and be selfish, and manipulative and cheat and hurt the ones you love. I mean its not "love", but from the character point of view he still experiences feelings for his object of desire. Maybe he loved Nick enough to let him go.

The writer of Only Friends wrote from his experience, and because of that, there was sincerity. I dont know if you will agree but season one has a different feel to the current version and its because of the writer.
The couples also dealt with more serious issues. Thus, there was also more development and growth of the characters even if 2 couples did end up with each other.

This current version feels more light weight. Im not sure what kind of growth the characters will have in this version but the issues they are dealing with are not traumatic enough.

bl dramas being produced feel more like they are indulging fans (service ) and wrapping it in a tv show. The couples starring in a drama are not acting the script, but rather "performing" for their fans (or maybe its just bad acting).

It controversial but If I was not a bl fan, then most bl dramas are really not that good or interesting on their own - like being objectively good irrespective of the bl tag. Dont get me wrong there are some great bls, but the majority are now into pleasing fans first.

I disagree. I think the name "Dream on" is extremely suitable.
The fans can only "Dream on" that it will get more interesting and messy.
