In the UK you get more jail time if you damage property. If you murder and are convicted, you could be out in less years. Property rights are more protected. The upper class made these laws in the past and continue to do so.

Can you imagine how the tax laws are written. Can you imagine how some industries and companies get government subsidies/ tax benefits and other favourable outcomes due to lobbying.

I am a freelance worker and I work through a company so I can write things off and I benefit from this system. I can pay about 5% tax while earning sometimes 3x what my friends earn BUT they pay about 45% tax. And its all legal. But is it fair. There is more theft the higher up you go.

We have typical "Daily Mail" readers in the UK that freak out at benefits fraud, but they dont care as much about company fraud. Or that Amazon not only underpays its workers, but they have put so many smaller companies out of business, use UK infrastructure and hardly pay tax. They freak out that £20k is stolen but overlook the billions lost in revenue.
PS look up Panama files as well (although some was illegal)

If you trade shares - you are not allowed to profit from insider knowledge. Do you know that in the USA, Congress is allowed to trade shares using insider knowledge. Now that is not only unfair, but it means a conflict of interest.

My biggest focus though is "what is defined as crime". That is what ideally needs to change. The wealthy are not evading, they are just avoiding most tax liability

I think a lot of people in the west would agree with you. But some are stupid and fight on the side of billionaires - especially americans.

I dont despise tax evaders as MUCH as those that make the laws that are unfair to someone who earns an average salary. They determine what is legal tax avoidance v evasion.

Billionaires and companies influence /bribe govts to make laws that have loopholes that they can take advantage off. Its crazy how many dont pay tax and its perfectly legal. They set up trusts and offshore companies allowing certain deductions to not pay tax. And they are not evading tax. They just dont pay tax like we do, and its legal. Focus on the big picture. The system is corrupted and instead we are distracted by a rich actor getting caught. While billions go unpaid and its legal.

As for cancelling actors - I feel sorry for them and I think its a bit extreme. I understand the anger but dont like to see people destroyed. Make them pay the tax and punish them by adding a premium for being "naughty".

I didn't see the program and not aware about content involved. Im not that invested in this actor (dont hate or like him enough) - its more the principles involved. I just read a post you made about this issue.

I think its unfair that certain tax advantages and loopholes are available for the more wealthy but not to the average person. I like that these issues are being exposed and that people become aware of the double standards in the law, and how the law is made by those who have money and power to be for their advantage.

lol - I know exactly what he has done (company and structure) is to avoid paying tax and I know what my verdict is. I should wait before passing judgement but I have common sense. I do feel sorry for him because of the situation he is in and the damage it will do to him.

I dont know korean law but if he got off, I would feel that the justice system is unfair. Anyway, the koreans are harsher critics then me.

The first one was raw with a lot of angst. I understand why its not an enjoyable to watch for so many and why people would prefer this season 2. The original or first one punched harder, made me feel that roller-coaster ride. It was emotionally draining. So far this one feels more playful and like you said more fun. To me this feels like a gmm bl drama. It may come across as a criticism but its what gmmtv do successfully which is to please their bl audience. And you are correct that this one should be treated as its own thing.
I wonder if the budget was higher for the first one?

Im curious and to see the mess going forward. I am enjoying season2 and i do like some of the actors .

So the original scores 8 while this one scores 8.3 on MDL. This season is probably more entertaining to bl audience.

I found the original more raw and authentic. It had depth and layers. It wasn't perfect but their were stories, it tackled some heavy themes and the characters were compelling.
I know its only two episodes. And its not like Im not enjoying it. Its just that this version feels like a GMM drama with actors playing their respective roles in another bl drama.
So for me Season1 had a story to tell. Season 2 is a bl drama to be produced. The word ersatz comes to mind.

When a county bombs hospitals, and is starving people, and raping prisoner (discussed in parliament) and has murdered over 50 000 children, then you most certainly call out war crimes. You can certainly point out who is in the wrong.
Oh and that country is israel in case you are confused, or in case anyone is making excuses for concentration camps and genocide.
