hellooo, I’ve watched Lost you forever & really liked Xiang Liu, does anyone have any dramas of TJC would you recommend for someone who enjoys historical, tragedy, modern, romance, comedy, detective/mystery? not really into crime/thriller (i get scared easily). + what are your fav dramas of his?
also I LOVE listening to him sing! was surprised when I came across a video of him singing in Cantonese & then looked up that he can speak canto!!

sometimes I watch Xiao Xiao’s vlogs and it really lifts my mood. this particular vlog she shared, of her 26th birthday really resonated with me. especially this part: she said,
“I entered the industry at the end of 2019. back then, I hadn’t even overcome the most basic challenges of acting in front of the camera. but as I worked on one project after another, looking back now, I feel like I’ve grown a lot every single year.
Being able to take what I experience, transform those feelings, and express them through my performances, that’s what I find so fascinating about being an actor. I really hope people can see themselves growing and becoming better. I hope everyone is doing what they do with happiness and joy. and I hope you everyone always put themselves first. whether they like me or not should only be something extra. when I was younger, what people called “being a fan”, the happiest part wasn’t just the celebrity. it was the memories I made with my friends, because we all liked the same person. so I hope that, for you, I’m simply one part of your youth. maybe from the time you were 14 to 28, I happened to accompany you through that stage of your life. hard to say!! I read the novel a year ago and it was so good! the drama changed the second half of the novel to flesh out the story logically, so it will be different but still enjoyable cos you don’t know what to expect, if u decide to read the novel. the drama filmed a couple endings too, so personally I totally recommend reading the novel! also the author wrote it in a way where you really feel the characters are real. they’re so multifaceted that I don’t find the sml annoying. (read itttttt hahahahaha)
but if u want to watch the drama blind and without any clue, it might be more exciting! even tho I read the novel, I’m still hyped for the drama so it honestly depends what experience you want to have when you watch the drama 😆
guys is there are love-triangle or one sided love in the novel? what about annoying sml?
in the novel the FL and the sml were each others first love. they struggled through hard times and relied on each other to survive. some might argue they weren’t in love bc of the sml’s backstory, & the sml was someone the fl relied on given her circumstances (i think it was love, but up to interpretation - their past will probably show up as flashbacks in the drama). where the story & drama begins is after he left her, so by the start of the story, it’s one sided, the sml chases her.
I found the sml an interesting character. when I read the novel, I thought he was kinda annoying lol. but he’s actually very multidimensional and had a huge growth arc. tbh I just felt bad for him at the end. but ml is still the one for fl!!!!!!!
in the drama it looked like they added the princess nangong purou liking the ml, so it’s technically a love square? sml likes fl, fl likes ml, ml likes fl, princess “likes” ml?.
Are there any novels similar to this one anyone can please recommend? I loved the novel a lot
I’m halfway through Cang lan dao and I feel like it has a similar feel. (historical, martial arts, hiding true identity.) the character setups are VERY different though, but the ML to the FL is kinda like how XQS is to NY.
