how's the novel guys?? Is the drama synopsis diff from novel??
I liked it! it was kind of angsty but also rlly sweet (after the heartache) the drama synopsis is mostly same as the novel. only part I’d nitpick is “As she grows closer to Qi Ying, Shen Xi Ling sheds her once arrogant and protective demeanor born from her humble origins” - she was never arrogant.

the start of the novel happens 5 years after the FL and ML get separated, and 10 years since the FL and ML first met each other. at this moment she’s under a different identity. then she gets really sick and the story goes back to 10 years ago to the beginning. here, we learn how the FL and ML met, what they go through, the climax, and then we continue off from the beginning of the story (which is 5 years later after they separate)

today’s lantern making event just made things messyyyyyy. not ZYH holding NY’s hand and XQS walking towards them holding a lantern he was still making… and Nanyi is left watching him awkwardly… especially after she left him to escape while he made lanterns. It seems they all bumped into each other on a date or something 😂
