Japanese original was an amazing ride, even if it was quite repetitive and without any character development. Daimon Michiko was also a rarely dominating female lead, levels abowe anyone else in her field (and terrible in anything else, romance included). I wonder if this would take the same route, as it's very, very rare in the drama world.

It depends on what you expect. If you want a gritty "Legend of the female general" show, then you will be disappointed, as I was. But if you are okay with a "Romance of the female soldier" with some fights sprinkled here and there, then it could be a decent watch.
她替三代人讨债/The Price of the Betrayal - pretty decent lawyer drama featuring an impressively capable female lead, fortunately without any ML/romance nonsense, so no way for writers to dumb her down. However, even with a Happy Ending, it's quite a depressing watch, though. Also, it possibly has a bit too much moralising and not enough highlight moments/catchy one-liners, but still a solid watch.

Well, he is yet another teenage-looking Marty Sue ML hiding his power, trying to ruin my experience of watching a drama with a powerful and capable female lead.
However, Bu Shu Lin looks very intriguing; maybe the FL will do some cool stuff (already did a bit). I just finished Episode 5 and hope to watch more tomorrow.

Ugh, yet another show where the so-called-badass female lead was soon downgraded in her skills and overshadowed by the ML in everything. "Yet another perfect ML" would be a more fitting title.
What a waste of Chu Ai Xu and her rare combination of good looks and legit martial arts skills.
I finally gave it a chance, and so far it's been fantastic. There are moments when I'm struggling to understand things, but at least there are almost no scenes which scream to use FF.
It's very refreshing to watch a supposedly Female-centric show which actually is Female-centric, without some overbearing ML messing things up.
It also helps a lot that, at least so far, the drama has real people playing real roles without some teenage plastic Idols pushed down our throats.
The flashback ending of Episode 5 was truly frightening, damm.
