Anyone who read the novel will know that Zhou Yiran and Bao Shangen really match the characteristics of the main…
I couldn't agree more!! So far the trailer, the cast, the promo and the setting are 100% what I was imagining while reading the novel. The choice for the main leads is perfect. So far I'm not a big fan of Bao Shangen's dramas but I couldn't imagine someone else playing Cai Zhao. She matches perfectly! Zhou Yiran I had no doubts since he was amazing in 12 letters! I hope I won't be disappointed since I'm a little too excited for it π
Don't know any of the actors/actresses, but this looks interesting? Someone get me when it starts airing
If you don't know Zhou Yiran's work I highly recommend "12 letters" !! It's a masterpiece and it's only 12 episodes. It might help waiting for this one π
I'm fear for this part of the drama. The first one was a masterpiece, but the abrupt change of pace, focus and…
So true! I would have preferred this kind of ending cause realistically the whole coal mining trope can't really be resolved. So ending with some scenes of our modern times would have been a perfect way to question our choices in society while leaving us with a bittersweet ending. Watching the 14 episodes left I can't really process the fact that the Mountain Patrol and Duojie aren't here anymore. Also I don't understand why we didn't see more of Tashi and his mother after Duojie's disappearance.
I just know they divorced over some petty ass reason
I feel like it may be linked to the coal mining situation. Bai Ju's elder brother seems to protect a little too much those higher up entrepreneurs while Yunfei still fights for the environment. I didn't really like the way the elder brother tried to tell to his sister to have a word with Yunfei about his last report. Since maybe Bai Ju seems to have settle in her own safe zone she might got tired of trying to side between them. That's my lil theory π I hope the divorce was still over something like this cause they seem to still have feelings for each other
There were a lot of text in ep 26 but subtitles didn't translate that for me. If someone who is fluent in chinese can tell me what info I missed π Otherwise I'm gonna spend some time with Google traduction π
I didn't expect the Mountain Patrol era to end so early. We still have 14 episodes left but without the og team it feels too different. Now I just feel like I'm watching a documentary of what's happening outside my door π I hope we will still get back some of that freedom and charm from the past episodes
I was always worried about He Qing Yuan but I truly believed he couldnβt die since heβs one of the main supporting…
While I totally agree with your comment I have to say I loove that your profile picture is Zhou Yiran!! Born to be alive just made me rewatch To the Wonder and I can't get enought of this type of shows. I think I'm just gonna settle somewhere in Xingjiang too atp π
what a trash and dislikable character Duo Jie is, he's totally tunnel vision into patrolling and living the ranger…
I actually think his character is quite realistic. He has a passion which is linked to his daughter death and its past. People who has such a deep devotion to something tend to neglect everything even themselves. I don't think he is hypocrit at first he was just conflicted between giving an economic zone to his county or neglecting its economy to protect its environment. He even said it himself. If it wasn't for Yunfei and He's wake up call he wouldn't have dared to speak up about it. The whole show is about the dedication of those 7 people to Bolamula not on how they will resolve everything by themselves. They already know they can't make a big difference but they just do what they believe is right. I think it's actually sad that you envision their work that way cause that's the whole point between those who just wait in their own comfort for others to do things; and those who are deeply devoted to something even though they are all alone in this.
Every damn episode I get anxiety hoping no one is gonna die and I still get heartbroken π I hate this show as much as I love it why does everyone have to die π
I hate how he died π it felt so stupid and avoidable. I think I would have been more in peace with his death if it had been during his time in the mountains with Tashi π
What a marvellous surprise is this show!!Lately, I was a bit let down by the chinese shows I tried (sorry no offense…
If you liked this one I highly recommend you the ongoing cdrama "Born to be alive" starring Yangzi ! You get the same vibe with some slice of life, found family and beautiful landscapes!!
I hope I won't be disappointed since I'm a little too excited for it π
