Honestly since it's a detective drama I don't see how we could truly have a sad ending. Maybe in the worst case the main couple don't end up together but either way their romance is not the main part of the story so I think we'll be just fine!

At first I was a bit skeptical about Bai Ju and Yunfei being a couple cause he seemed a little bit too carefree for her but ep 14 really proved how they complete each other. She is pragmatic and he brings balance with a more idealistic thinking.

Yes! It's the first time that I'm not fond of the second couple. I skip most of their scenes cause I don't even understand their dynamic. The main couple really steals the show I even regret that they put a seconc couple cause with this type of main lead they add nothing to the storyline

Fr I rarely enjoy short dramas but this one really is engaging. I wish I could binge it without waiting so long for the next episodes. I agree I even wished at some point that the lost sister would be the concubine (the kind one) so that there would be a bit of surprise cause sadly for now the plot is quite predictable. I think she might be working with the old Madam cause they seem quite close. But she's definitely the lost sister. Maybe the old madam is the master mind while the girl is carrying out orders. It's also more likely that she likes the ML and maybe wants to take revenge on her sister and dead mother cause she thinks they abandoned her ? Those are not really researched hypothesis cause I think they went for the classical cliche plot😅. I' even impressed of myself for liking such story. I'm usually quite picky with dramas and I don't really like "cliche" plots but the actors are doing such an amazing job and the FL is so interesting that I would gladly watch another 20 episodes of her scheming.

The more I watch this drama the more I regret they didn't make it longer cause there would be sm material to develop to make it a great show !! I also wish we could see the general a little more. His relationship with the FL is what I crave everytime I watch a cdrama : a strong woman trying to survive while her lover is just here loving her for who she is and supporting her.
