One can make multiple interpretations of a well conducted scene of a great drama. Say the last few minutes of ep 10 when Da Wit is on the stand facing Gi Ppeum, if watched carefully, they never left their eyes off each other and their dialogues seems just between themselves. Even when Ms Oh said all the accusations are suggestive and the judge agreed no need to answer, the world around them seems disppeared with Da Wit answering straight to Gi Ppeum, except the moment when he admitted guilty towards the judge. And ended with locking eyes till end of episode. This is real high intensity, that you can make whatever interpretation you wished.

On the side of the pro bono team at ep 10 they are just doing their job as lawyers. They are forced by the CEO to take up the case against Da Wit. Lawyers are trained to provide the best outcomes for their clients, within the boundaries of the law, whether the client is a criminal, murderer make no difference. Morality, right or wrong, are not taken into account by the law, most often. In fact Gi Ppeum is put into the worst possible position in this conflicts between law and morality, as the accused saved her family in the past and now she has to put him into prison. This is called a drama.

2 women in the last 2 episodes whom Da Wit, the hero of this drama met personalily. One comfortably, whom he knew for a long time and he quite understandings her, no drama, on the same side, one wins both win. The other full of emotion, conflicts, wanted to tell all the truths but that can only bring more misunderstanding, lots of unspoken words, just full of angst, and if she wins he might lose everything. He is reflecting all the emotions of not having her trust very much according to epilogue of ep 7. But at the end he put his fate with the unlikely one (seemingly, for sure more twists and turns). A great great drama, but this is a common trope of kdramas to show the significant one. I bowl to the acting of Jung kH, reminded me of his hard luck love story in Hospital Playlist.

Reading through the posts here and in reddit, this drama looks like will have a very happy ending for some, but not too happy ending for others.

Based on googling and production promotion material viewers might be surprised. Guess Korean viewers always know the genres of this drama. Anyway wait for a few more days don't look for spoilers.

That's pretty much the plotline. Reviewing his part of the truths the only way to expose all other truths, the only way the drama can end. He is also posting a most difficult question to Gi Ppeum, would she put someone in jail, who saved her family, give her the chance to become a lawyer, because that someone just want to revenge for the destruction of his own family? Certainly correct legally but to Gi Ppeum, also wrong morally totally. In legal system prosecutors can hide facts legally in order to win, to put someone in jail.

The great thing of a forum is everyone can have a different view.
Not giving any forecast here purely on observation of episode 10. With ending near the drama used one of the common kdrama trope. 2 women played a significant role in the trial of Da Wit. 1st one helping him, one wins both win, no need to know the truths and cover them if needed. The 2nd one if she win, all truths have to be disclosed, and Da Wit will loose everything (on surface only). And of course he picked the one in the most dramatic fashion at the end. What the drama told us? Make your own judgement.

Pro Bono to me is the best drama of 2025. Tremendous storyline, acting of the ml, fl, supporting fl, and members of the pro bono team all very good. Ending of episode 10 is a great turning point (which I have been waiting for). It shown the ml would never lie to the fl, and she knows.

By now viewers can forget about any mentor/trainee, even age gap problems between the 2 leads. Whatever their relationship going to be, it is built on equal terms. Totally different to that of Beyond the Bar

Bad news it is a 40 hours dramas in 2 seasons. But I still watched it twice! With the long term relationships stories the PDWRITER had put in great details to test viewers' intelligence. Actings are impeccable for all the 30+ to 40+ years old actors/actresses. It is still a comedy at the end. I would love to have Pro Bono has a season 2 now.

Wait and see. Now i feel 12 episodes too short. 14 will be better. Dont mind even a 2nd season.

While most viewers seems only interested in the individual legal cases, if watched carefully the PDwriter had already put in hints everywhere, from ep 1 to 8, there will be a love line for Da Wit, as a plot line for his apple box video. So ship for anyone you like, part of the fun for the last episodes. This is where the difference to Oh My Ghost Clients, Jung KH's previous work.

I have put off Hosplay until this year thinking this is just a slice of life, medical drama. But it actually has a total balanced genres including friendship, music, medical cases, slice of life, family, and romance (it has the best marathon love story I have seen), and it is very light and bright like Pro Bono.

So far this drama has achieved a perfect balance, nothing is forced, no conversation is wasted. Don't forget about the masterpiece Hospital Playlist where Jung KH has a super tough love story among the 5 best friends.

For all the dramas watched in 2025, Pro Bono is around brilliance up to 8th episode. The script writing is inventive, daring out of the square, the legal cases not worrying upsetting a few along the way. And the director, a genius (and naughty) using an end of the episode epilogue to give viewers details (and a bit of comical romance in a non romance drama) of what's behind the beginning of the episode. Just thoughtful.
And the castings are perfect fitting the storyline, as well as the acting. Just couldn't wait for the concluding episodes to come.
