I guess I'm the only one here, but expecting other pp to make you're the first priority in their life is a little…
XY has abandonment issues. But for her situation, it's a bit extreme. However for people that went through trauma like her, it's not unreasonable that they want to be someone 1st priority. For XY, she probably wanted that because she felt she was never anyone priority at any point.

Beside, I interpret XY's talk for more serious situation. She's not saying 1st priority for the small daily stuff. She mentioned her mom and her grandpa. People who chose death and betrayal over their loved one. Even in modern day, if I'm going to date or marry someone, I would expect them to prioritize me when it come to situations like that. If I know beforehand my future husband would rather die for his cause than be with me, I may think twice before getting into a relationship with me. Or if I know he has other ambitions to cause him to betray me, I would think twice.

IRL, people have more than one loves throughout their lifetime... so this would make sense.
My parents fight all the time too. It was a couple times a week but once they entered retirement it became once a day. It was always over the silliest thing, but when one is not around, they miss each other. Except for my dad hot fiery temper, he's very much like Jing, cater/pampered/spoil my mom and cater to her hand and feet.

Ah I must have miss the “childhood” part in your post.

To be frank I’m bored of the childhood trope. I rmb I used to find boys stinks and disgusting before I turn 13. Idk why there’s so many idolization of childhood love. My childhood love is root beer float and strawberry milkshake.

Im looking forward to XY throwing a tantrum with Jing and all their lovey dovey scenes coming up. I don’t think she’s immature, it’s because Jing too dense, he needed that to wake up. In Chinese they call it “sa jiao” I believe.

They are so sweet together and with Jing XY finally let herself act like a girl. Whether with CX or with XL she always on guard and rational. With Jing she allow herself to acts like a girl who’s in love and a bit irrational. She let herself acts on her feeling. Such a position of privilege she hasn’t had since the day her mom went away. It’s something she’s a bit envious about A’nian. I rmb XY wondered how much love Anian received to act spoils like that but she said if she get to choose, she rather grow up spoiled than what she went through.

Even now when she’s back, she’s still very restrained. With her dad, with Xuân. Only Jing is not part of that past, and he let her. Lmao.

I have a few questions here. Was it Jing's fiance on the flying horse who attacked CX? If it is her than which…
1. Fangfeng family is just one of the many noble families. They don't have a kingdom, and they attached themselves to family/royalty with higher power for survival. They have already chose the Xiyan uncles to back as the next emperor, so CX existence is a threat to them.

2. I don't quite remember XL saying that. But these two kingdoms are not allies. They are just the two left, but not openly hostile to one another.. FOR NOW.
CX was sent over Haoling as a "hostage" prince. This is usually done as a peace gesture from one kingdom to the other, saying "You have my family member so I wont attack you because I don't want my family member killed." Hostage prince may have the title but no real power. If you are allies, you don't need hostage prince. That said you need to know about how "friendly" the two kingdoms are to one another.

The reason why CX "seemed" to have so much power right now with his guards is a unique case. Haoling King is bestfriend with CX's dad (not just regular bestfriend but I die for you kind). They have a huge backstory in the pre-quel. So because of that, Haoling King treat CX very very wel - like the son he never have, and given him special perks, to built his own personal guards loyal to him, and to explore the world. But everything is done on the down low because they don't want to alert the uncles in Xiyan. You can assume that Haoling King has already chosen to back CX as the next Xiyan King just by his action.

In a world with only two opposing power, peace is very fragile because there no 3rd option to keep check and balance.

3. Someone else already explained better than me. But the voodoo bugs aren't something that can be control. XY barely know how to grow it. *spoiler: the bugs is from a clan associated with demon. Given XL is very spiritually strong, and him being a demon, he can "suppress" the bug, but not entirely control it. If XY has more spiritual power, maybe she could have control it over XL.
When it come to spiritual power/fighting strength, XL is the top one in this world. No single character is stronger than him. He can only taken down by an army.

It's due to politics. Xinyue follow her father last name, Fenglong follow his mother last name.Chisui is one of…
Fenglong can only use Chishui from now on. He can't go back and use Chenrong. Your last point - that's the reason why the Yellow Emperor spared their lives, because their last name will die out in 1-2 generations. Usually when a kingdom is taken over, the royal family is often executed or exile to be prisoner/slaves. The last name become taboo and descendants if kept alive will have to change their last name. So this setup is actually good for Chenrong family where Xinyue can still enjoy the nobility of her last name.
Secondly, it's also because the father asked to remained in the Middle Plains (where the Chenrong kingdom is), to govern his people. In this way, he can protect his people in his own way. Because if a Xiyan noble/official govern the Middle Plains, they can be cruel and discrimating toward the people due to the long battle where so many people died.

I think they would both rock it. TCJ has very soft features so I was shocked to see him play XL. But he really done well.
I think the first time I saw a glimpse of what TCJ would look/act like as Jing is in ep 22 when he was playing FFB. When XY shot him down and he gave this pitiful pout.

we haven't complete the 15 years yet. I will explain some of your questions but it may be spoiler for you so I…
Jing originally want to abdicate his position that is why he hide away as Ye Shi Qi and didn't come back until he was found.
He begged his grandma many times to cancel the engagement but she would not budge.
He didn't do nothing for 15 years. He was helping Xuan the entire time with his money and resources. If he is not in his position, and it fall to Hou then they will likely back Xuan's uncle, and that mean attempts on Xuan life as well as XY. He already saw this happened and He can't take that risk that XY life will be in danger.
Last reason why he is staying as Tushan Jing is because of XY's glorious position. He can't openly ask for her hand if he is a nobody. Only with his position as Tushan leader do he think he's somewhat worthy of her.
He's not killing off Hou because he's Jing's only relative left. They grew up without a dad, his mother emotionally abused Hou all their lives. Before finding the truth, Hou was a great brother to Jing for over 400 years. He coddled, protected and care for Jing like a father would. Emotionally Jing grew up relying on Hou a lot. So it's hard for Jing to ignored those 400 years of affection. Deep down I think Jing just really want his brother back despite what happened.

In real life, Deng Wei is a combo of Xiang Liu and Tu Shan Jing. He's the best of both worlds. 🤭random thoughts.
I was thinking the same thing.
When I first saw the cast, I was shocked he play Jing because I thought he would suit playing Xiang Liu. I imagine XL features to be similar to DengWei.

sometimes I feel like she is just dumb cause how are you finna drink with someone you don't know not only that…
Are you talking about XY and FFB?
She has no reason to fear. First she know how to poison people to death. Second, her status is very noble, so she know FFB would not dare to do anything to her.

It's due to politics. Xinyue follow her father last name, Fenglong follow his mother last name.Chisui is one of…
Sorry I don't understand what you mean by letting the Chisui girls bearing the Chenrong family name. That is very inappropriate. The Chisui girls will bear their father last name, if not then their mother last name. Not Chenrong.

All his children will have his last name, except for FengLong. He didn't do this out of the goodness of his heart. It's a win-win, survival move. His royal family (Chenrong) has fallen, so although noble, they yield no power. It can also look like eyesore and be attacked by the Xiyan nobles later in the future. So allying with the Chisui clan will provide his offspring with protection. And having his own son being the future clan leader mean his son can wield that clan's power to protect the Chenrong future offspring. It is also a reason why Xinyue is desperate to get marry to CX, or at least she looking to marry into big powerful family. So that her future offspring is protected.
And a final reason having FengLong taking the Chisui last name is beneficial is that it take the Yellow Emperor off their back. Even if they surrendered doesn't mean the Yellow Emperor trust them. So if the son doesn't have the Chenrong last name, the Yellow Emperor is not as worried about the son trying to revived the "royal Chenrong family" in the future. Because once he's in a different genealogy book, he has no right to the throne (if they ever stage a rebellion), hence lessen his incentive to rebel.

Chenrong is the fallen empire. Originally there’s three kingdoms, but Chenrong surrendered to Xiyan (bc they were losing). There isn’t anything in the Chenrong clan to takeover. However it is still a noble/high ranking last name.

Fenglong will take over the Chisui clan.

Agree. Despite being Xianxia they haven’t overdone the CGI. Secondly I find their set colors very pleasant to…
How he love XY~ he is a fool too. If he has even a shred of affection for you, he give you everything he can without asking for anything in return.
