In life there's not many chances to enter someone's heart. A'nian blew her chance. As for Xin Yue, she's catching feelings but that doesn't mean it's real love. CX and Xin Yue both using each other. I think CX only give what he gets. With his lofty position and charming person - it's not rare for women to love him left and right. But are they giving him real love? Him as a person? CX doubts that and so far, no one has managed to prove him wrong. Except XY but he already knew that.

I just want to say something.

This is not a typical romance with an ultimate OTP and everyone is only a sidepiece or decoration. It is character driven, every person is complex with layers, strengths and weakness, motivations and desires. Also there are many different kinds of love. And even the greatest love don't always end up together. To end up together, both parties must be willing. With XY and XL - we all know which one is unwilling.

XY gave XL a chance, he didn't take it. Jing gave her a promise of the future, XL only ever give her the presence. XY never asked for more. She let him waltz into her life, do whatever he want, and literally TAKE what he wants. If this isn't love, I don't know what is. They have love, they have a soulmate connection, but their love is like a firework in the night sky. Brilliant, captivating, taking your breath away but leave as soon as it arrived, leaving you only a memories of existence. You can only marvel at its beauty, but you can never capture it for yourself. Nevetheless, anyone would choose to have witness the firework than never at all.

On the other hand, if XL love is like firework, then Jing love is like the moon. Majestic, silent, giving her light out of the darkness and always here. You can love the firework and also love the moon. For a person with such a traumatic life like XY, is it really hard to understand how she craves the simple things? People can love, but people always have ways they want to be love. Their "love language" so to speak. Jing love XY the way she wants and desires. No it's not pity, it's not "settling". Maybe to a normal person, a whirlwind romance always trumps. But XY life had been nothing but whirlwind events - happened because of her parents' very whirlwind romance, and out of this world love, where she became the unintentional sacrifice. Jing give her a love that her heart desires - it's love.

Firework and moon might be very different, but they are both true and very real. This is not a story where our goal is to see who XY ends up with. It's a journey of self-discovery and tribulations of many different kind of love: family, romantic, and self-love. Who she end up with is only a cherry on top. Don't be too focus on the tree and miss out on the forest.

The thing with Xuan and A'nian - I feel that it will always be one sided because it was only one person giving. A'nian grew up with Xuan's love and patience. He always gave in to her. She grew up in his affection. But in return, she never truly understand CX and didn't trust him. CX gave A'nian what she wanted her whole life, but CX never got anything from A'nian. Such one-sided relationship don't have a future, just like CX and XY.

Because she deserve it. not just because of her appearance or lofty status. XY get all the love because she give it back 10 fold.

Just want to say, some of y’all need to check y’all uncalled for slutshamming of XY.

XY has always vocally stated that Jing is the one she’s waiting for, and the only one she stated can kiss her. Ship whoever you like, but don’t have brain amnesia and forgot the storyline and saying B.S about XY.

Finally episode 28 has arrived. They made it even sweeter than the novel. I thought they would cut out the knee kiss who thought they included it so well. Unlike others who can only see the outside and now call Jing “dusty jade”. XY appreciated him fully and see him for the moon that is: unaffected by the darkness (what happened to him), radiance as always (his character and kindness). It’s poignant she calls him “moon” because she love moon watching and said before that the beautiful scenery is only meaningful due to our companion. And she also said that the moon been here thousands of years and always here. I don’t rmb her saying this in the novel- did the author added it? I think subconsciously she indirectly meant Jing is her companion that makes living thousands of years meaningful and that’s he’s always going to be here.

That's why in the end he get to be with XY.
My comment was referring to what's going by now (ep26). We still have that whole fiance mess arc to go through. Jing got into that mess is because of his "family". Yes he's soft-hearted and all that, but if it wasn't because of his family, our girl didn't need to go through all that heartache.

That's what i'm saying.
She saved Jing and giving him sincere love like no other.
She support CX in every way, through thick and thin.
She heal XL with her blood, and genuinely connect with him.

All three claims/think they love her, but is choosing something else over her. I'm loving the series but our girl can do better. Just saying.

Okay I'm going to be frank the shippers here and yall gonna hate me. No one (XL/CX/Jing) is more deserving of XY over the other right now

I'm enjoying the show, its characters, and all this angst. I'm loving their interaction with XY. But truth to be told, our girl XY is pitiful. All this angst we're having is because all three can't prioritize XY and give her what she craves the most. I don't really care how many forlorn looks, love dagger eyes , sweet wine, playful dates, love bites they are giving XY. The only ship I'm on is XY ship.

I agree. There's no OTP in this novel. XY have multiple great loves. She's both very unlucky AND lucky. We're just not used to the idea of multiple-ships. Shipping here don't really matter - just enjoy the ride with our girl. People are too focus on the end that they can't enjoy all the love XY is receiving right now.

Everyone please calm down. Jing is written for XY, and XL is written for us. That's the reason why XL can't be with XY. Just saying~

Nian is better than all of CX's future wives, but even she isn't comparable to XY. She didn't trust CX, and kinda "abandoned" him when he had his drug stint. CX is just as cynical as XY. So I think that's why CX is so fixated on XY because he believe the only person who truly love him is XY. Everyone else love/fascination with him is "conditional". A'nian would love CX if he forever stay as a hostage prince, but then A'nian also grew up with a lot of love and affection from CX. To CX eyes, I believe that he think her love is conditional as well. Only XY love for him is pure and unconditional.

If you asking comparing the drama to the book then no.
Some more XL's scenes were added in the drama - especially the flashbacks in episode 24-25. Some short scene of Jing advising Fenglong were added, but no extra scenes between Jing and XY have been added.

I remember it was not so sad at this point in the novel, but my heart is breaking for both XL and CX.
The actor that play CX is really really good, so is XL. They really elevated this angst to the next level.

He did say he know he has no right, but was desperate so he made the request. XY have all the right to reject him. It's not like he demanded her. Whether too late or not - that's up to XY, not Jing.

No Jing never met the fiancé. He was tortured for 4 years, and then left for dead. His older brother is the one who went to meet the fiancé in his place. The fiance only came to the house AFTER Jing went missing. Jing never said "not allow to be around other men". He only asked her "to not let other men enter your heart."

He never questioned her with FFB, nor said anything about FengLong hitting on her. He said he have no rights and he know that.
