No - it's because XY has a very powerful artifact that help her change but others can't see it as magic. The other two male leads found out in other ways. Fox found out because he saw XY blushing and acting like a girl when she saw his body. And XL found out because XY lured out the Feifei which only react to a girl's voice. XL trust an animal's instinct. "Magic" is only a mask, it does not change one's true self. Hence that why XL know that a mask can't fool an animal, so XY true self must be a woman.

Okay I think the confusion is because of the translation. They're all born 神 (shen), which mean god/divinity/diety. This also mean they're immortal or have very long lives. Shen can have many "race", or in these story, it just mean their original form. Jing is also a shen, AND his original form is a fox.
