ive read a lot of the comments now and yeah it's definitely leaning more into western themes but it still keeps…
People get confused and say about "westernization" when its not like that.
Those who think that, only watch kdramas and not kmovies. Korean movies is a whole different kind, showing far more open ideas about life and relationships (adding more intimate scenes etc). Its natural (to a point) to be more conservative in dramas, as they air on tv
No matter what, i agree with you 100%. It was about time to show people on tv, that women can talk openly about s*x, about orgasm, about open relationships, (i cant even accept the fact that we re still talking about this stuff in 2024).
Enough with the 30+ yo unxeperienced clueless women (and men in most cases in k romcoms).
There's nothing wrong with being a virgin at any age, but its so wrong when is used for propaganda and for defending sick stereotypes.
Those who get offended by such natural things as sexual expression, they can always watch teletubbies

What was that epilogue in ep7? Should i scream or shouldnt iget excited? Maybe the translation was not accurate but did he actually confess that he really wants them to be partners? Or did he mean to be "partners in crime"?

He is not a virgin he did clarified that in early episodes
Even if he is, in the current story, it makes no difference. Personally i get upset when they constantly present something like that without any purpose in the story. I mean, to show that someone is a virgin should be purposeful for the story, it should have a certain meaning for the overall development-otherwise it aims to confirm stereotypes (which i really dont like).
In the current story, she is indeed more experienced in every aspect-she is also older and working many years in a very antagonistic environment-so it comes out naturally.

Also thought it was odd. She clearly isn't happy as she isn't sleeping around she's just watching her BF rail…
She also has another boyfriend. She was messaging him when FL caught her doing so in her couch

So are they normalizing Polygamy now??💀
No. It just shows that people can love each other in whatever norm they choose and agree. Polyamorous way is not my cup of tea but i respect it as other people s choice. Cheating is bad, it hurts people. Agreed polyamorous is healthy for those who like it

I'm really enjoying this drama , but I don't like the fact that they're trying to introduce polyamour suddenly…

Well., for a quite straight-forward and spicy drama... that kiss was just lame lol I mean, why? The built-up and…
I think it was made that way in purpose. Shi min ah is a really great kisser in all her projects. Lets wait until the next one

It's tough. They're still dwelling in that sudden cryfest during her birthday. How would they deal with being…
Im frustrated mostly because i was excited at first, seeing all these progressive stuff, like a breath of fresh air. People taking care of one another, a baby taken care of by people who are not her parents, socializing in such a beautiful way, and i feel that the main focus is kind of ruined.
Im laughing hard right now, cause im not even a "Family kind of person" and i got so angry with how she handled the whole thing. Well you re right, i hope it ends in a sweet way.

He was in a very tough spot, having to deal with practical everyday stuff, not even have the time to mourn his wife, a baby to take care of etc
She should have thought better the whole thing, the kid is too young, kids need stability, not changing environment especially when they have suffered such a huge loss at that age.
I ve watched the whole episode and im even more angry now, that i discovered that she lied about her father. She just threw them out because of her supposed feelings?
They are both adults, they made a mistake to live together in such a rush, ok, now they could deal with their emotions under the same roof without the kid noticing anything. If they couldnt be together then they should just forget the whole thing and just live together until they find a better solution for everyone.
But i really dont get her point, to ask him to leave just like that, just because she cant handle her crush

On Ms. Saionji Doesn't Do Housework Sep 15, 2024
It started so well that i couldnt even believe it. I was excited to see the message of "family comes in many shapes and forms-no matter what-as long as people choose one another and care for one another".
That open freestyle of relationships looked very promising.
But now (im in the beginning of ep 10) wtf...
Where did that thing with her dad came from? Both she and the ML are irresponsible to the core.
That baby already has a trauma being separated from her mother due to her death, so young. Now she has to change a home again? Pressing a button "family-no family-fake family-no family" REALLY?
Her dad is fine. After all if she indeed cares about him being safe at his age, she could hire a person to look after him-she has a very good job and looks of very high income.
They could even move all together in a bigger house.

I agree on that "speed" ranting of yours-in terms of dramatization and plotwise-but i dont see how they could…
Even though you didnt answer me about all the others, even if we burn Ukraine, Putin is heading to Romania. Romania is what Poland was in WW2.
Plus the fact that he already took Ukraine, there's nothing more there to get. Now he will continue. and good luck to us.

So what are you suggesting? Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans, should burn Japan to the ground and we -europeans-should burn Germany so there wont be another WW2 and holocaust?
And after that who's turn would be? The Belgian colonizers who were cutting off kids hands and gave them as present to their fathers? the british, the french? Maybe the whole europe cause they were the ones that led native americans to extinction?

This is a very powerful and moving kdrama, but I don't see how I can invest in any romance between the FL & ML…
Agree. Especially when we re talking about the ML, his current feelings came out a bit abruptly-i mean, if it wasnt for that letter 10 years ago, would his love for her ever wake up again?
Unless there are more flashbacks yet to be shown, that will justify the whole thing

The "problem" with this drama is the genre "comedy"
There are some comedy elements but its more like a slice of life/healing drama than a rom com.
First things first, we re talking about childhood friends (not even childhood, toddler friends) so there wont be any kind of sudden butterflies and fireworks that explode into anyone's heart.
Then there's a certain focus on how people are dealing with health problems, how families can literally ruin lives (both parents and children's lives), how parental guidance and expectations can poison one's heart (again both sides)
Personally its not my cup of tea, but its very well executed, the storytelling goes smoothly, revealing hidden clues, pointing out some serious stuff about life and relationships without beautification.
If someone wants passionate starcrossed lovers who get head over heels and then dancing on clouds against all odds, then better look somewhere else-this is not the drama for you.
If someone wants all the above, then its a decent watch and the mains are doing great job -as it was expected. Happy watching to everyone!

Every human being has emotions-and if he/she hasnt is not a matter of ethnicity or anything.
But indeed, if i want a good quality depiction of emotions, i can watch a good quality jap/chinese/korean/or western drama/movie
Cheap shows show cheap emotions or no emotions. There are korean ones who fail on that aspect too.
Its not a matter of a country. Its a matter of quality in telling a story.
(btw, jap people are very much introverts -if we re talking about certain cultural and behavioral traits-but that doesnt mean they dont feel the same emotions as every other human beings).

god forbid a woman needs 2 boyfriends
Utopia: a world where people are honest with each other and can form relationships, families or whatever they want, with as many people as they want, no cheating, no lies, consent given and love comes to its true form (for those who feel that monogamy is not for them) :)))
