I gave the film a high rating cause i got from the start that there wasnt a great premise, and i lowered my expectations so i liked it. Had i read the webtoon i would agree with you i think.
Yes it didnt go deep or in any dark place of the fetishes in general. And the whole commercial aesthetics didnt help. Overall i really appreciate that the movie points out things such as rapists who hide into the bdsm community, the consent, the safety, the stereotypes, the hypocritical masculinity and what is truly hiding underneath.

You are SOOOOO right. bdsm (as a lifestyle and a form of sexual roleplaying-not all bdsmers follow the rules though), always valued safety and consent when humanity couldnt even recognize rape if not for lifethreatening factors. The movie didnt go deep in darker places but i m so glad it talked about that undercover rapist, about consent, about affection, about masculinity and the hypocrisy of societies, expecting masculine men to always be leaders in bed, not having inner desires, trapped in their toxic society forms who harm both genders. I loved your review too.
And may i add this: you prove that even people who dont know anything about role playing and bdsm, can get the whole point and the limits in any sexual intercourse, when they are aware, true to themselves, open to other people's needs and even fetishes, with respect, not giving a s@ about stereotypes (im also not a bdsm(er), though ive tried many things on that aspect, but i always had the same thoughts as you.

Sweet, light, perfect chemistry, sexyness over the top, hot with little to no skinship, doesnt go deep into fetishes (ok there wasnt any premise for that), talks about the huge problem in bdsm community with rapists undercover, about consent, about safety affection love and all things that one way or another affect all people sexually-cause lets be honest-not all people have fetishes, but the vast majority has fantasies, roles and the dynamics in s* is there, either we like it or not.
Good watch, low expectations, decent production.
Special highlight:
it talks about the society's hypocrisy when it comes to masculinity, what it means to look masculine and how fake and oppressive is the role that a man should have according to the stereotypical toxic masculine "alfa" male. It also points out the hypocrisy of the rest of them in the office, when almost everyone had dirty secrets but they didnt hesitate to discriminate those who just got caught.

Looks like, for some MDL watchers, having 5 partners in your 30s is weird, while being a virgin (no matter the gender) in your 30s is ok and relatable especially if you are a hot as hell CEO having every woman at your feet.

Destined with you ...she is ok and works fine with Rowoon (her acting ability is still weak, but you wont notice it, the story is far more interesting than this one here). If you havent watched it, give it a shot

One thing is for sure:
JBA is not the best actress out there, but she surely has chemistry with every ML in every drama of hers.
With PHJ is one of the best pairings in so many aspects.
Im already halfway, and im watching solely for them. Its very fast paced, the dialogues are a bit blunt and the characters are written kind of superficially, not much depth and its quite strange cause there are many episodes where the writers could go deep. But ok the couple makes up for all the above. Watch it for the romance, for JBA's appearance which is the prettiest and more fresh among all her projects, for PHJ who is in perfect weight and shape here and most of all:
watch it for the high collar shirts that are SOOOO MADE FOR HIM FCOL

ps: dear writers, why the FL talks about her life values looking up in the sky as if she is "high"?
Couldnt you make her talk like a real person? Do we always have to deal with FL who has absolutely no connection to reality? Have you watched so many soaps and your brains are burned?
Even the ML looks at her with a huge question above his head while she's talking like that.

And please, when you write a story including medical stuff, do some research.
There's no way, in any civilized country, for a surgeon with mental issues such as panic disorder, to continue being a surgeon. He/she can choose to be a psychiatrist, or another specialty that doesnt require complicated procedures, but NOT SURGERIES.
Hence, the FL shouldnt be expelled to the countryside, they should just forbid her to perform surgeries or being a surgeon no matter the place she lives.

And WHY the h* is she screaming on that pitch tone all the time? Its like they decided: ok we wont make the FL unbearable to watch, so lets make the police officer support role a reason for the watchers to hate us

To fall for someone never needs an explanation. Love needs explanation but attraction nope. You can fall for literally anyone no matter your standards. To continue being with him/her or love him/her depends on your taste your values and what you see in him

Sadly its not the hair (though its an awful hairstyle). Its her acting.

The drama is very good in many aspects.
As for the FL's hair, yeap its indeed awful but its not the main reason people think she ruins the show. In Kill me Heal me, the FL had also a very ugly hairstyle but it didnt matter at all.
Here the problem is not the hair, not her character's writing...its her acting.
She is unbearable. She's overacting while she keeps a poker face at the same time. I rarely cringe in acting performance coming from only one actor in a show as long as the rest of the cast is ok.
Here i cringed the same way i do with Angela Baby (and a bit more).

They can always go voluntarily but i guess its better to sit in their couch and judge whoever doesnt want or cant join the most criminal and stupid thing such as the army. Rich and powerful people are happy to have more young men who are trained to be killers and victims at the same time. War is money and "patriotism" the best way to convince people to fight each other.

The only thing imdb differs is the overall average age of the reviewers -and of course the amount of people visiting imd is a whole lot more than mdl. I ve had major fails following imdb's rating and reviews hahahhahaha dont get me started!

You can trust reviews on objective things such as technical aspects, production quality, filters, photography etc but literally everything else is a matter of taste. Even acting ability (yeap, you dont know how qualified a person is to judge someone's acting. We are biased sometimes, judging by the looks, the effort, the whole actor's persona so...). You can watch 1-2 episodes to catch an essence of the drama and go for it or not. After all, we can never be sure about a show, its part of its beauty to make you take the risk to watch
