Worth watching as light hearted simple drama.

It's been so long since I have seen a Rom Com without too many cliche scenes. The drama is so simple, it doesn't have any dramatic thing like twists, secrets kind of things. So unless you are the kind of person who loves intense drama, you will like Hometown Cha Cha Cha.

Some people say it is a predictable story and I 100% agree with that. But does it mean will it bore, I would say it doesn't.

The only two things I have to complain about this drama is certain times I felt the pace could be a little faster, but still the pace didn't bored me at all. And also Du shik sad past, I felt the writers could have done it much better. I felt the writers took a safe route in that writing.

The best thing about this drama personally would be Shin min ah role, she was immature in beginning, but the way her character grown and handled certain situations is incredible. And also this drama doesn't have any stupid love triangle at all.

Overall it is a good drama.

Worth watching,

At first I hesitated because I don't like drama which glorify cheating. But I'm glad this drama doesn't do that. It really shows an affair as what it is. Both the main leads affair has reasons fair enough on made them to cheat on their spouses (fair as in sense you can understand why they cheated, but it is up to us whether we think it is right or wrong) and what led to the moment of having an affair. Even though the drama was MELODRAMA, it didn't feel too gloomy at all. Although it is an affair, my heart really rooted for the main leads.

THE BEST PART of this drama which I loved the most is how the women, especially became independent without relying on men or love to survive, but only on themselves,

The only thing if I have to complain about the drama is how I wished in the last two episodes the writers shouldn't have given upper hand to the bad guys, but what resulted out of that writing turned out to be good. So even though I didn't like it, I was oddly satisfied.

The second leads affair story was good, but somehow at certain times it didn't feel too entertaining for me, it was just ok.

If not for the two above reasons I would have given the drama a 10/10.

Could have been one of the greatest Kdramas, but lost it all in it's journey

The first two episodes are perfect, there was balance between the thriller and romance part. But after that, the screen time for thriller barely last few minutes per episode which I am sure many were disappointed by it. Why you ask? The first two episodes gave a very mesmerizing experience to viewers in regards to thriller only to disappoint us with a thriller that doesn't seem part of this story anymore. In fact, the second male lead character became really captivating and gripping that most viewers look forward for his character, only to have barely anymore after that.

The second male lead although part of the drama, and the only character in the thriller part of this story, he got a very less screen time and his character rarely interacts with any other leads, slowly the thriller part became of it's own story and didn't fit with the romance plot. It's like watching two dramas in one and frustrated the hell out of me.

Over cliché of secondary characters aka Main male lead friends. One thing that pissed me off is how the secondary characters got more screen time compared to SML AND SFL. Their entire time is mostly in promoting an already established romance of the main leads which was really dragging and made me scream. If you have time for fillers, you might have used the time to wove a good thriller screen time. Most of all, I failed to see how they contributed to main plot. Except for the twin sister ex boyfriend trope, none other of their screen time actually contributed anything significant and yet they occupied half the screen time was to emphasize the romance which kind of became annoying.

The main leads love story was nice, although the breakup trope felt unnecessary since we all know they end up together anyway.

This drama main focus was childhood trauma and psychological traumas, although the main leads got their healing part shown to us properly, the writer failed when it came to second leads whose healing and trauma was never shown in depth. It was quite disappointing because second leads actually had more potential than main leads, yet the biasedness of writing had led to waste the potential of second leads.

if this drama had only told us it is romance and has only two main leads and never encouraged viewers on the thriller part by giving a great first two episodes of thriller, Most who were disappointed like me would have liked it.

Watch it for the story.

I have to say this movie focuses more on story rather than character. Even if a side character makes 5 minutes appearance on screen they don't waste it.

The story slowly builds up to the point where Ashin becomes who she is at the end.

I personally felt like she became a antagonist character at the end based on her dialogues but I have to see it in season 3 of kingdom. But if what I guess is true, than I have to say this is one of the greatest character development for an antagonist in the history of movies ever.

The story doesn't have our main heroine till the second half, but this doesn't mean boring, the first half focuses on building the story for our heroine to enter.

The movie all along shows the subtleness how dangerous is getting revenge, how every action has a consequence, it did a tremendous job in that aspect.

I am deducting one star because I thought this movie would explain the existence of our zombie plant, but it didn't much, but still this special episode is really worth it.

Review on drama itself and not on the Indonesia controversy.

Besides the low ratings the drama got on portraying Indonesia in bad way, I would like to do actual review on drama itself.

The drama is very light hearted and light paced one, at certain times I felt it as too slow and boring. It only been racist in one episode, and leaving that aside, the drama was good at initial episodes but later episodes I didn't feel much thrill. I didn't expect thrill since this not an action drama, but I expected it to be more entertaining which it failed me. So if you are someone who is completely ok with a very slow paced and completely light hearted drama, than this is good for you.

In my opinion, this is only a one time watchable decent drama.

Not good writing.

I am a ji sung fan, but when a drama is not good I will admit that instead being blinded by a star cast.

At first the story starts with Ji sung character aka the devil judge to be shown as two faced, not directly but through the words of an elder judge who tells our another hero Ga On, played by park jin young. He tells Ga On devil judge may seem like punishing evil, but do you really think he is all that and doesn't have some dark secret behind his good actions. Then the elder judge merely shows up his face now and then in the drama. Anyway , this leads the viewers in first few episodes to doubt the devil judge, we even doubt devil judge may have killed his brother in a fire, we doubt his real intentions when he punishes bad people and all of a sudden writer throws that concept out of the window, without giving a clarity what his actions mean. It is episode 9., the writer didn't give us whether the devil judge is a misunderstood character, or really evil who uses other bad people as an excuse for his actions or a good guy who just uses outside the law methods to catch bad people. In conclusion his character is a heck of confusion for me and I won't even call the character mysterious since it is annoying.

Now coming to our second hero, Ga On, now he is the most undecisive character, one minute he acts like devil judge is someone he cares a lot only to see him hate the devil judge and doubting him the next minute. For few episodes he doesn't agree with devil judge methods, but all he does is complain it, but not take any action. He lives in the devil judge house, first it was for an injury reason which was understandable as viewers cause devil judge house has security, he still lives in the house, so we think he is trying to spy by staying in the house a little longer. Now he is totally living in the house like he is devil judge family member which didn't even make sense to me. Despite his character is shown as someone who will see the real side of devil judge in initial episodes, he now acts like he is a devil judge minion without giving viewers a proper reason why he changed his opinions.

Now coming our female lead, jeong seon ah, she is a villain and opposite character. Out of all characters she is the only one who makes sense to me despite she is shown as a evil character. Although she is a poor girl who now became a powerful chairwoman, how she got such power is still has to be explained.

Now the other female lead, who is yoon soo hyun, now she is friend of Ga On and a police officer. Her character is merely a decoration and does nothing helpful to the plot. Well to be fair the plot in this drama is inconsistent, but still she is of no use till now. Her screen time is even less, compared to her a side character called Elijah, the devil judge niece gets more time.

The plot is set in a dystopian korea, but after seeing the drama it is any other law korean drama's only which has good judges and bad politicians and selfish businessmen. The plot is just all over the place, what is the purpose of the story, what is your characters purpose, everything is inconsistent.

Even the viewership ratings on wikipedia page have dropped since last few episodes because of bad writing. Any high ratings given to this drama in this site is because of star cast biasedness. that's all.

A UNIQUE THRILLER KDRAMA AND IT WAS WORTH WATCHING

This drama is for you if you like intense plot twists. Every moment you should focus and remember, otherwise it would confuse you later. I guess this aspect also lead some people to dislike the drama and for some others to like the drama because it kept us on our toes on how every character and their actions are getting connected.

The drama is obviously a purely fictional story, where psychopaths are shown as people with no empathy and murderers. but to be frank, there are many people who have tested as psychopaths but in the real world, they live normal lives, they just don't have an understanding of emotions like the rest of us and live normally. but this drama has shown all psychopaths are murderers only. This aspect I didn't like at all, but since this a fictional story I let that slide and enjoyed the drama.

Overall this is a good entertaining drama after all entertainment is the only thing we expect from any drama and this one provides. it is worth watching.

good heartwarming concept but tad slow

A good drama with an inspiring concept, but at times I felt it was slow and dragging. Definitely a one time watch, but not sure about rewatching. But if you are into normal slice of life dramas without any twists or actions or dramatic, but you just want something normal, then this is for you.

though I said it is slow-paced, this drama doesn't bore you. and the old man is highly adorable.

a different kind of medical drama, that will blow you away

first I would like to start by saying this drama deserves more than an 8.1 rating on this site and the main characters are two main leads, the female leads aren't really main characters, but as side characters, they are quite vital to the story. even the other characters are tremendously important.

at first, I thought this would be medical drama, where the hospital is corrupted by higher-ups and a talented hero doctor would save it with his awesome skills. this is the most typical hospital dramas you see a lot. but this is completely different. it shows about hospital management conflicts where it shows how cruel a capitalistic world is by using a corrupted hospital.

my favourite character is koo Seung Hyo played by Cho Seung woo. incredible acting skills and his character is so refreshing and a very new type in kdrama world. We always see in any kdrama , the bad people as clearly bad persons, hero as good person, but this drama simply shows everyone as human being. both male leads aka main characters of shown as good and bad, that you will realise, if you are in their place, even you would do the same.

a must watch, don't expect romance a lot, although, in the end, there will be couples paired, the drama focuses a lot of two male leads and more on cho seung woo's character, which seems the true main character of the show, even though he starts his screen time from 2nd episode, he steals the show away.

A series that must be watched....

I am one of those people who always like romantic kdramas, or even if it is office drama, I expect the romance. but miseang isn't like that.

it is one of those series that perfectly shows the reality of working in the corporate world. but doesn't mean you feel mundane like your work life.

the show, with every episodes, teaches me a valuable lesson, and also taught me a lot about corporate terms.

this is the kind of show only adults can say how great it is made.

i even went to Wikipedia page to see the viewership percentage, and with every episode the viewership increased in ascending order. if a drama has a viewership rating from episode one low to gradually increasing to highest, you can simply say this is a masterpiece.

Nothing more than a worst love triangle and character development.

At first, each character is shown to be ambitious and goal-driven, the focus is more on startup and for the first five episodes, it follows and sticks to the central plot.

all of a sudden writer introduces a love triangles and drags it to the final episodes. with each episodes breaking our hearts, and characters becoming stupid.

the main hero - never seen an immature character in a lead role who is immature till the end, who doesn't really have a good business attitude, yet somehow he becomes rich and successful by a miracle writing.

the main heroine - strong at the beginning, but at the end just relies on heroes like a damsel.

the second hero - the most loved character, only the character that makes you watch, really a level headed in terms of business, but writer decides to make him pathetic, make him suffer, just to promote love story between two main leads.

the second heroine - her character has so much potential, but she barely has any screen time, despite showing her as one of the main characters.

support character - the main hero's friends - as immature as the main hero.

the workplace is treated like a cafe, where everyone looks for love rather than focus on work.

The drama was only good for first two episodes. After that it is all down hill.

The characters at the beginning shown they have potential character development to them, but as show went on, each character became dull , the main hero and heroine are only cliche romantics, while the other characters are just minions to promote their love story.

The main story and plot of the drama just became something to promote love story only.

Worst product placements, feels like whole drama is one big advertisement.

And Lee Min ho acting I personally felt poor, his ultra handsome face is the only saviour.

Woo do hwan is good with his acting, but his role became pointless. His screentime doesn't even last decent 5 minutes in an entire episode, even the other side characters have more individual screen time than him though he is one of the main characters. His character became like a background cameo. Woo do hwan has chosen a bad role this time.

You watch it if you are a lee min ho fan, and like him a lot or if you are kim go eun fan, but if you want to watch a good drama with good story, good character development, good acting, than this isn't for you.

Whenever you watch a thriller or horror drama, you always wonder why don't people leave the place immediately if they feel something is wrong, but this drama shows how one's surrounding life and people keep them grounded, even if it is hell itself. The main hero gets so many chances to Escape, but the people surrounding his life and poverty makes him stay. This drama is so unique and so thrilling, I loved it, it makes you stay seated on your edge.

It makes you connected with the characters, and the ending was so twisted and Im shi wan acting was superb as always.

This drama is the best, the only reason it got low ratings is because the heroine didn't end up with the first hero. But from the beginning it is shown both the hero's and the heroine are the main characters equally. So the heroine can go either way. Many people didn't like how everyone didn't get a happy ending in this and only few got.

If you are a person who was not just into an interesting romantic plot, but also into story and character development of all the characters, this is a best kdrama.

Though few people say it is not an happy ending entirely, I would say it really is one way. You can call it as a satisfying ending. Each and every episode is really interesting and well written.

I have seen many kdrama with not so logical plot and worst acting got more than 8 as rating, I really don't understand how this series hasn't got above 8. I think most people like obvious written plot. Please watch and give it a chance, you will like this.

I really had hopes for this drama to be awesome, since these two leads have been my favourite couple since goblin. Touch your heart starts with a sinple rom com style, I know it is very common style of kdrama rom coms, but I atleast expected it to be entertaining. The story is too predictable and the worst thing of all is how bad the main characters acting is, even a child could act better than them.

The story is too worst, the direction and the camera angle in the drama is worst of all.

The story is so worst that even an amateur or a first time writer could write much better story than this.

It has 8.4 rating and trust me it is only because everyone are hyped about these main leads acting together again.

But if you want good plot and also a good acting than this drama is not for you. Really disappointed me.
