I've watched like... 100 historical/ Xianxias/Wuxias the last 4 years and I'm really tired of the trope of the good and perfect male lead dressed in white and having a flawless, upright and unrealistic behaviour. I prefer morally "grey" characters.
Dramas like this one, or "Till the end of the moon" , "Love between devil and fairy" all have morally grey characters whom develop throughout the story and become better people because they fell in love and that gave them motivation to improve as individuals. I'm looking forward for the story of the second couple in this drama.

I've watched all her historical dramas (because I like historical genre) and I find her acting boring . Maybe it's just me Idk. I hope I'll manage to finally like her in Unchained love. The writing has a crucial role. Maybe if her role is well-written, I'll manage to appreciate her talent for once . So far , I haven't.

And the romance isn't cringy. They look like a couple for real. She's teasing him non stop and tries to kiss him. He's also so in love with her.😅 The only problem seems to be that her family is connected to some of the murders . He was socked when he found out. He got scared from her noble's family background. And in the trailer they show him committing suicide to save her. I wonder what the hell will happen and how his suicide will help her survive..... wtf...
I wonder what his plan will be. She was desperately screaming when she saw him pointing the knife to himself. Without him she will not want to live either. There is no way she'll just continue her life with him being dead for her shake

I've watched 12 episodes. It's not a simple rom comedy. It's 70% thriller since it involves murders that the male lead has to solve because he's a magistrate. The female lead tries to help him also. They are a cool duo.
The subs are fine. The plot isn't difficult to understand

I like how possessive she is. She likes him a lot and she isn't afraid to show it. They have a lot of chemistry. Sadly they both have powerful rich families. Their families have already planned the marriages of those 2 with different people, and our couple seems forced to break up. The male lead is betrothed to an unknown princess and he really doesn't wanna marry her. He has a serious attitude most of the time ( because he's a magistrate after all) but he becomes very playful whenever he's with our female lead. He always forgive her mistakes and he always accept her affectionate touches or attempts to kiss him. He never pushes her away or anything. He's clearly charmed by her and tries to find a way to cancel his marriage with the princess and be with the female lead.
If only the episodes were longer than 10 mins.....
Because surprisingly, it has a lot of plot to cover.
All those murders , the assassinated soldiers , the evil organisations who try to murder the empress , the evil ghosts that appear , all these cases need more screen time to be explained properly.

I know Jong Bum had been trough a lot and blah blah blah.....
I respect his character but he's still a weirdo in my eyes. Nothing more. I was very disappointed by the ending. The first 3 episodes in the past were the best in all the drama

I liked the fact that the guy whom appeared to be the "2nd male lead" was actually the 1rst male lead". Lol that was refreshing 😅
I've watched almost all the C-Historicals out there , and the only drama I can recall that happening was "Love is better than immortality ".

Yeah. I never watch mini series because they usually have not plot or there is a lot of cringy comedy. This one is an exception. It has plenty of plot , everyone loves the wrong person and they suffer a lot. The plot is equal to any other big budget Xianxia out there.

Not me thinking that it's a simple rom-comedy when it actually is sad and depressing as F@#k.....😭😢
It has so much story it could fully cover a 50 ep series. The love triangle is well build and the sacrifices each one of the characters make for love are impressive.

Is it finished on this drama though? That's my main concern

Oh ok. Thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that the licence could be given even if CGI wasn't completed (since its focused mainly on the dialogues , the appropriate costumes , behaviours of the characters etc)

I'm not a fan of comedy either. If they overdo it I'll quit watching no matter how much I love historicals. Just a little comedy would be fine.
I'll wait for the trailer. If they emphasise on silly jokes I'll be out

The plot sounds unique and that's refreshing. I hope it'll have the right amount of comedy so it won't be cringy

Ναι όντως τα Κορεάτικα είναι καλύτερα στα μοντέρνα. Σπάνια να βρεις καλο κινεζικο. Το light chaser rescue είναι πολύ καλό. Εκτός από δράση και σασπένς έχει και αρκετά κρυμμένα μυστικά μέσα οπως πχ το οτι φταίει ο πρωταγωνιστής για κάποιους θανάτους που συνέβησαν στο παρελθόν και δεν μπορεί να σηκώσει το βάρος της ενοχής με τίποτα. Δεν του το χα του Leo Luo να είναι τόσο καλός στο δράμα.
