I'm so exited for this drama. I really can't wait to watch it. I even started reading the novel and it's very good. Mi Lan (Female lead ) is a very unfortunate person. Not only she's blind but she's aslo a victim of domestic violence. Her mother constantly beats her every day, to the point that hair are missing from her head (since she presses her head against the wall and hits it). Mi Lan is severely depressed , she rarely eats and she even tried to commit suicide. Her father is always absent from home. He's a military officer and he doesn't give a shit about what's happening in his own house. Mi Lan is absolutely helpless and she's the biggest victim of her insane mother. Shen Zhiheng on the other hand , has his own problems. He's rich, powerful and a philanthropist but most importantly he's against the Japanese colonisation which lead him to be targeted by assassins. One night in the middle of a dark road, Assassins shot him in the head and all his body with a machine-gun and he took it all as if it was nothing lol. He stood back up , killed some of those guys and asked the remaining ones whom was the mastermind behind the assassination. Although Shen Zhiheng is "a monster" ...."a vampire " , he's honourable and loves to help the poor by giving money etc. He only drinks the blood of animals or blood that has been donated to hospitals in blood bags. He isn't a threat to anyone. This drama makes you wonder who the real monster is. ZhiHeng or the evil humans ?! 😅 I vote the 2nd
They are such a hot couple. He cannot resist her . Whenever she nods at him and smiles playfully, he's losing it 😅 Their chemistry is amazing. I'm not a fan of yuki chen but in this drama she proves that she's a talented actor. I love to watch both her and Dylan. Their acting is superb.
It's so sad that this drama has such a low viewership both in Korea and in foreign countries. It hardly makes a 4% in views when all the other dramas at the moment have 8-19% . I hope it will improve, so that the production team can earn back their invested money. It was an expensive production. You can even tell from the quality of the costumes and the fabrics they used. It deserves more views
What about the CGI though? Many dramas pass sensorship but the CGI isn't ready. Don't forget that sadly this could cause an extra delay if it's not ready

Yeah she does the same thing 😆 But , after watching the first 2 eps, I liked the story and Kim Young Dae's acting (the Emperor) . The king's personality is dark , psychotic and twisted . He can do extreme things and he doesn't hesitate to kill if he gets cornered . So I'll keep watching no matter what. I'll just ignore the FL's acting and I'll focus on the well written story. The scenes with the king and his diseased wife captured my heart. He used to be innocent and playful but after his wife's murder he became cruel and he's thirsty for justice . His depression has led him to psychosis. I'm grad that the drama has strong tragic elements and only a minimum amount of comedy. The plot is not guffy. Thank God 😄
Yeah he looks way older now. For example in Ice Fantasy he was gorgeous. Here is ....meh.... I really prefer Wu You over him but it is what it is. I can't change the drama. In Novoland Castle in the sky the princes was with the Prince of the wind tribe so I thought this would also be the case here

I didn't like the female lead's acting on the crime thriller "Mouse" but since this is a completely different drama I might manage to like her here. I hope I'll manage to ship those two and enjoy this beautiful historical. In her previous works she always kind of "overacts" and yells instead of just talking normally. I'll try to forget my bad impression and move on with the drama
