Jim said he wanted to be celebrated like as an engaged couple yet he didnt want to reveal their relationship was…
As sad as it is, that's just how reality treats LGBT couples. And it's a pretty good reminder that it's not all rainbows and butterflies when it comes to these relationships, especially as adults. Although I share your sentiment in being disappointed that their peers won't seem to accept them, Jin having that comforting reassurance from Haruki that he would be there for him regardless of everything more than makes it up for it. Even though they probably can't reveal their relationship now, I'd like to believe there would come a time where they could reveal their relationship to the ones who matter the most.

I think the story itself is basic BUT that narrative flows very smoothly and spares no time for trivial matters.…
Same thoughts. Like the premise itself isn't really new or ground-breaking but the way they executed the storytelling aspect and handled the two leads throughout the series was just really well done. You can tell a lot of care and love was done in making this drama series.

....also, being a son of alcoholic, perhaps, he prefers to avoid drinking at all...Remember his mantra? I don't…
Hirukawa letting go of all his vices to not be like his father and Minase ending up being a smoker because of his mother's overly-perfectionist nature was a pretty good contrast.

Probably the most consistently good Japanese BL I've watched. A lot of Japanese BL's usually fumble at some point but in here, the characters, story-telling, and cinematography were all pretty amazing from start to finish. Definitely set itself as one of my favorites. If you're still contemplating on watching this masterpiece, please watch it. You won't regret it.

The setting and plot progression plays out a lot differently in the manga, but the emotional progression and dialogue…
I'm with you on this. I felt like the shots were just way off and we weren't really given time to absorb the dialogue in each of the scenes. I especially felt this during the confession scene, like damn give us time to breathe instead of transitioning to the next scene so quickly. 😂

I enjoyed the finale, but I feel like the execution of some of the scenes felt slightly off and/or rushed. I'm definitely going to miss this series though 😭

Fifteen minutes before the finale airs. Despite the mixed reviews this series has received the past few episodes, I'm still going to miss it a lot 😭.

The "waste of time" comments when a BL isn't as lovey dovey as they want always weirds me out. I'm a romance junkie…
If people want to watch a series for the kissing and NC scenes, there's a whole bunch of it to choose from in the Thai BL selection. Clearly this series isn't for them.

I like it when a queer drama doesn't solely center on the romance aspect of it. Being queer doesn't necessarily mean the plot has to revolve around romance. Queer people, like everyone else, experience other problems.

They have a couple of cute scenes. They have a heart to heart talk and share a hug. It's kinda bittersweet though since Taichi also decided to tell Kohei he's dropping out of university. Next week is the series finale.

You're making stuff up. It is MAYA and her story line that is annoying, boring, and a waste of time that should…
"I know all of that, and I don't care."
And with that I already knew what I needed to know.

It's quite ironic how people were all nothing but praise for the realistic portrayal of disability of the show…
Same thoughts. I find it interesting that the aspect that people were praising this series for at the beginning is now the same aspect people are complaining about as the series is about the end. 🤷

The whole point of Maya's character was to be a foil to Kohei. She was partly written to be unlikeable as compared to Kohei and his way of adapting to his disability. It doesn't justify her bad attitude to Taichi but It shows that other people adapt to their disability and trauma differently. The fact that she was constantly mean to Taichi but he was the ONLY hearing person who understood her already says a lot. Taichi wants to understand and be of service to the hearing impaired, and that also includes difficult individuals like Maya. You're free to dislike her character all you want but her character adds a certain aspect to the show if you weren't only concerned with the leads' romance.

I don't understand the sudden slander with the series here. I understand that anyone has their own opinions on whether they like a show or not, but I find some of the people's justification here a bit weird. I loved this series because it didn't use having a disability as a plot device to move Taichi and Kohei's romance forward. It's a thing of its own and I appreciate that. But people here suddenly downplaying the disability aspect of this drama as "irrelevant" and "waste of time" is weirding me out. Ya'll have completely lost the plot and the point of the series went completely over your heads.

The scene where Kohei was using the excuse of chopping the onions to break down because of Taichi leaving. It's in these small moments that make me love this series. 😭

Oh this series, love it so much, theres so much unsaid. As much as I have no problem with Maya as a character.…
I don't think Kohei takes whatever Maya says as gospel to be honest. Despite all the foul words Maya has for Taichi, Kohei never let it change his feelings for him at all. Him unintentionally hurting Taichi was mainly because he didn't want his disability to be a hindrance for Taichi's goals. He didn't want to hold Taichi back, which was evident such as their conversation at Taichi's house. However, the way he worded it unintentionally hurt Taichi as Taichi is someone who grew up with abandonment issues. Clearly a miscommunication issue that I hope they can resolve in the next episode.

I'd really love to know what has happened to Maya to make her so cautious and judgemental
I don't know if we'll be getting a backstory, but honestly it's not that hard to imagine. If you were born to the world with complete senses and suddenly your sense of hearing disappear, it's not hard to be angry with the world for the unfortunate circumstances.

as an abandoned child, Taichi is broken when Kohei tells him that he no longer needs him 😭meanwhile, Kohei…
I honestly understand both sides so I can't blame either of them. If I were in Kohei's shoes, I'd also feel bad holding back an important person's dreams so I'll reassure (and even lie) just so they could achieve their dreams without feeling any guilt. On the other hand, Kohei's words to Taichi really hurt him as he's someone who's had abandonment issues as a child. If I were Taichi I'd probably also feel betrayed that an important person said those words to me.

I really hope they patch things up soon.

Currently rewatching Kohei and Taichi's heart to heart talk and it was really heart-breaking. Kohei just wanted Taichi to focus on his dreams without worrying about him but Taichi mistook it as Kohei telling him he's no longer needed. I want to hug these two so bad. 😭
