As much as I'm rooting for Taichi, the girl (Maya) had a really good point. I'm glad Taichi's starting to take the whole "note taking" thing seriously because as it was mentioned, it's not a joke. I hope he continues to work hard to become a good note taker worthy for Kohei.

Taichi's actor, Toranosuke, resembles a certain K-pop idol, but I can't quite put my finger on who it is.

I really loved this episode. Aside from the Kohei-Taichi moments we get, it also gives emphasis to the importance of the aspects related to the hearing impaired individuals such as notetaking and sign language. I like how Taichi's taking the initiative to taking this very seriously as with the preview, it's not just some job that should be taken lightly.

The main difference here is in Bad Buddy, the leads have mutual romantic feelings for each other. In here, at least for episode 5, their romance is purely one-sided. It's unfair to compare and expect them to feel the same way when Taichi hasn't even acknowledged that Kohei likes him yet. It wouldn't make sense for Taichi to reciprocate Kohei's romantic feelings too soon.

I noticed it too. Hopefully the accuracy of their translations improve in the future. 😅

This really is a common problem with gagaoolala as well, especially with their JP BL lineup.

Recent JP BL's have been pretty good with kiss scenes. I was kinda just hoping we get a non-angled kiss here since the film adaptation, contrary to the source manga material, changed it to a proper non-angled kiss. Either way, I'm still enjoying the story but I do wish we'd get a proper kiss scene in the future as well.

This one I could partially excuse since the source material had a similar angle. However, if the future kisses (if ever we still get some) would still do the whole "angled" kiss scenes again, I don't know anymore. 🙃

Yeah I saw the manga panel where it was adapted from, but I do wish they changed it just like how the film adaptation did it. 😅

I'm with you on this one. I thought we were way past that since most recent Japanese BL's have already normalized kissing scenes. It really felt like they were mocking us with the whole "multi-angled and obviously not a kiss" kiss scene.

Exactly. It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the viewers. It's as if they're mocking their audience, which is a shame because they're doing every other aspect almost perfectly. 😔

Definitely agree with you on this one. I don't mind no kissing scenes in BL, but if they're gonna portray it, the least they could have done is not do the whole "we kissed but not really" approach when it comes to the angles. It feels kinda mocking in a way which is ironic because they're doing a really good job in portraying the nuances of someone disabled but is somehow lacking on the "BL" aspect of things.

Nonetheless, I still really enjoyed this week's episode.

This week's episode was really good. Both leads really acted well in their scenes. I guess my only nitpick was I wish we were given another angle of their kissing scene. 😔

Sadly we still have 24 hours before the next episode airs. I swear this series is making me crazy lol.
