20 eps?! i always equate less than 30 eps (usually 24-30) as youth/high school campus dramas and won't watch anything unless its 38+ bc that means there's more content than just young love (even this 32 seems short to me lol). these sisters are in their 30s, their life is work and relationships (friends/SO)!! maybe not the younger sister quite but i'm sure we will see a big development in both whether it's career and or love.

on ep 12, i feel like LY needs some deep therapy to heal from 8 years ago & now from what just happened w WQQ... the guilt is eating her alive, she's saying she doesn't want to be like this anymore soooo therapy? she's a dr she should be more conscious of her mental health even though I know that's v taboo in china :c
I just watched the first episode... it was intense. very accurate depiction of how she died, I wasn't prepared for that at all. not sure if I want to continue watching 48 eps of her entire life, may if my mom is interested bc she's her all time favorite singer
from the trailer for tomorrow's final ep... seems like it is a happy ending except I think an open-ended one after many yrs they just walk up and stare at each other like in many dramas :,( not sad that it's not happy but I hope there will be more context!!! they all look soo much older esp YRQ & BYX!! so glad they ended up together but they literally look like they're 60 w white hair lol or maybe just the toll of the war /: don't want this to end but also do for my own sanity, glad I got to learn some more Chinese history and how the country has come about.

WHY are the 2 second leads still here ugh I literally thought MZZ died in that pond when XBC shot him and ZFQ left for good but since I didn't think she died she would've eventually made her way back to do more evil things to get to XBC somehow? But why is LHJ/SHJ so obsessed w MZZ he literally is soo annoying!! I get that XBC may be v toxic to try to get LHJ but when will she see all the efforts he puts in and not as misunderstandings???? she STILL is upset ab the miscarriage even tho it wasn't him it was FQ that caused it?? Feng Qi is literally the most evil a person can ever be. She really thinks she can fake Hang Jing's death, okay with *almost* (idk if it was real or not in the latest preview) killing her own father in hopes of sAvInG whatever she thought she had w Bei Chen. This will only drive him crazier to HJ even though idky she is so gullible in everything FQ says!!!!
