yes this is a realistic cruel picture of family life in China/Chinese families, please watch with an open mind! If I forgot my white shoes, my parents would not be as nice as CS at the end apologizing for yelling at me in public. They must teach me a lesson because it is my responsibility, if I don't learn I'll make the mistake again. I disagree, I thought the ending was beautiful! Although the couples didn't get remarried but everyone ended on a good/un-toxic note. Everyone within the two families grew to an understanding and acceptance of each other's lives. I really enjoyed seeing the two seconds leads find their path in career and be more confident. Yeah career shouldn't be everything but this ending is very realistic to how Chinese families are in China. A lot of us were born and raised by our grandparents/other relatives & friends while our parents had to work to provide for us. It sucks that they miss out on a lot of our milestones when we were kids but we all had a mutual understanding for each other, as I'm sure the kids in here do too. I was super emotional at the end, like a little glimpse of my childhood <3 May they continue to live perfectly together, married or not! Supporting one another in their dreams and aspirations :)

2 things. 1) do career oriented people not deserve love? yes they're busy all day everyday and true, they should schedule their times better but they still should have a family if they want one. However, with each stumbling step, they finally realize that with their own imperfections, they are each other's perfect partner." just wait, everything will be revealed.. i 100% agree with that ending because it is very realistic in chinese households. there's always 1 hardworking spouse and 1 that stays home or works a mediocre job. just because their workloads don't match doesn't mean they aren't a match. in real life people work through the challenges and at the end of the day they are the perfect match for each other. everyone will have someone that they work with and probably see more than their family during the day(s) but that's just work, not love.

Okay so those last few episodes' trailers made me PISSED AF. Sorry for y language but i am sooo angry!!!! I will not be watching 37-39 and hoping everything is solved with a good ending at ep 40. I have mixed feelings about GS and how he treated LW. It is definitely wrong he shouldn't have used/lied/hurt her to find the truth. I say used in the process but i believe he loved her sincerely. It's like one of those romeo and juliet type love. That's not the point of my anger lol. I'm mad at BXR!! He is SOO annoying omg. Like buddy, SHE DOESNT LIKE U!!! Even if she never gets back with GS, u have no chance!!!! If GS leaves and comes back within the span of 2 years but yall are still not together (like he just keeps crushing on her but they never dated at any point within the 2 years) that should say something. She doesn't like u regardless of GS or not. Why are you still competing with GS 2 whole years later!?? That is just so strange like he's really no help in the drama except he has this longggg unrequited love for LW and i guess helps her in business here and there. At first i felt so bad like aw this little kid that LW helped when he was little. Idc how he says he's not a kid anymore. I'm 21 and don't feel like a kidbut I'll always be a little kid to my 30 yr old brother and that's okay. She just likes u as a little brother stop thinking you're her type!!
