As an old guy too, I'll say hello. I can comment about W. It used to be in 5th place. I don't know how it got to 4th. Okay, I love this drama, but I don't expect it to be this popular. It's not that it lacks qualities, on the contrary, but it's a style whose accessibility has its limits. I don't even understand how it's in this list.

It's almost sure that MBC will never do a season 2. So I'm doing it, as a real korean screenplay, with some extras (pictures). I hope to have a story as good as season 1.
I study the screenplay of season 1, to know the rules of writing, because it's different from western screenplay.

There is too much going on to comment. :-)

I noticed some funny details:
- The young JDT/Beak who pisses his pants.
- The kill-bill style executions with the splash of blood on the wall in shadow. (for the number of JDT's murders, I stopped counting).
- Yoon-Chul so pathetic: the scene in the sauna. He gets undressed and Gyu Jin slaps his butt. Gyu Jin is always annoying and funny.
- Beak who imposes himself at JDT with an unbelievable nerve. But it's made funny because everyone around JDT plays along. Seo-Jin, and Gyu Jin (out of stupidity). Good irony from the screenwriter. This guy becomes popular, JDT has a new source of annoyance.
- Jin Bun Hong, the mad maid, who reveals her cantankerous side and her madness.
- Seok Kyung, the character development is very good. I like to see her attached to her father and become his ally. This makes for one more active villain. JDT tends to take it easy I think. No big villainy in the episode (except in a flashback).

Yoo Dong Pil [Je Ni's father]: Ok, in Penthouse, actors are supposed to be over-the-top, but they do it well. With him I have difficulties. Even though his performance is a parody of an angry guy wanting revenge. I don't know why it doesn't work. Maybe it's me? Or maybe bad timing?

We need something to stick some articles in favorites or reminder.
I started to watch Mr Honesty. I don't have time to go further, but it's quite fun.
What is great here, even if the subtitle is english, it can be auto-translate in my language !

I don't have time to watch the ton of dramas on my list.
So, it make even less time to watch a dropped drama.
I don't even have the motivation to watch dramas I just put on-hold.

You are becoming dishonest. Don't try to change the subject, by telling inaccuracies about another topic. It makes you make random speculations and logical mistakes.
The only FACT to conclude from the ratings on MDL is that the drama is popular here.
Nothing else!
What interests me is the fact that the drama is poorly written in large parts.
That's different!

An example: some girls write fan-fiction about k-pop boy-bands. Even as fan-fiction, some of them are very successful. Thousands of readers. Their story is popular. However, when I read their story, I understand that it is poorly written.
- It's probably correct on language and grammar. I'm not native English and it's hard to read, I have no opinion on that. So, I focus on the rest.
- The descriptions are heavy, often filled with unnecessary details. Instead of getting to the point, it's drowned out.
- The dialogues are dull, aimless, with a lot of useless lines. When it's not the whole scene that is poorly constructed or forgettable.
- Each line is punctuated by a description of the character's attitude, which regularly weighs down the scene, instead of giving meaning when it is really needed. It's amazing how many characters "mumble" in fan fiction.
- I can't read more than a few pages, it's so annoying.
- Every bit of text can be analyzed, so it's a fact!

So the facts:
It's popular, BUT, it's poorly written.

This is simply what I do on Hospital Playlist too. By analyzing scenes. And what I don't have time to dissect, I mentally make notes here and there. Details jump to mind.

I'm optimistic about season 2. Maybe the story won't appeal to everyone, given the way the audience is currently anticipating. But about writing, it should be more successful. The drama was improving as season 1 went on, and season 2 should continue to do so.

I don't really like the drama, but I like your enthousiasm ! Ah ah !

That's how reverse harem dramas like hospital playlist work, where the female character is the most IMPORTANT of all!
But I guess with totalitarians like pixar supervisor, writers are not allowed to create anything but woke propaganda. With such people, no Asian drama could still exist. Just close MDL.

Sky castle is a good drama too and I liked it. But I don't see the point to compare the two dramas, they are differents. Not the same tone.

I'm sorry, but even if wanted to, I couldn't ruin it by myself, I don't have superpowers.
Just remember dramas like Start-Up or Love Alarm, and expect something of this kind.

Season 1 give the clues we need, so it's possible to know where the story goes. ;-)

It's the magic of writer Kim Soon Ok.
She write parody and crazy dark comedy but...
... she still make a strong story, so you end to take this seriously and be involved.
Then, of course, you can't sleep in your bed. ^^
Crazy talentuous screenwriter. Tell me where I can send her a love letter. ;-)

The only one drama I'm watching live, because I don't have time to watch something else.

I know how it will turn. But if I say it, people will be disappointed. It's a spoiler !
Just watch the drama and be disappointed by yourself, or because the writer. :-)
