W two worlds Season 2 sc

I compare two episodes 1, from dramas with the same duration.
Episodes used for general exposition.
- Hospital playlist, 1h20, 1245 lines of dialogue.
- The Penthouse, 1h20, 967 lines of dialogue.
The Penthouse has as many characters to assimilate, or even more.
And yet, unlike Hospital Playlist :
- All the characters are easily assimilated.
- The drama is captivating with several plots sent.
With only 78% of the dialogue of Hospital Playlist, the comprehension, assimilation and plotlines are incomparably better.
This is the difference between a talented scriptwriter and one who writes blah blah.

I feel bad for you because you suffered 7 more episodes than I did ^^
But it's interesting to know that it doesn't get better afterwards. That everything is so repetitive and empty. With people running around singing songs. These songs are supposed to have a meaning related to the drama of course. It's clever, sophisticated. But in reality, who cares? The typical case where a heavy theme castrate the story. Where a classic, unadorned narrative will have some bite on its own, and not by using tricks. I guess I don't need to list those really effective stories ;-)
Sorry, I can't keep watching this drama, even for the sake of criticizing and have fun to do it. Already, it annoys too much the viewers who like the drama. And even if sometimes I'm annoying, it's not my main goal. I just say what I think, and once it's done, I don't want to annoy people more. Wait, I have another message to post. I will do it without spoiler tag. Expect an harsh makjang line from the villain. ;-)

World of the married have the best rating of kcable history.
And Penthouse is the best rating on public channel.
Think about that.

For now, I'm watching Temptation of Wife, by the Penthouse writer. Her first breaking rating drama ! And finaly I understand a bit what was your feeling about fillers. Not really fillers, but there is definitively some slow down in the show. I think The Promise was better addictive in the first part, or instead, better fast-paced. But The promise was produced far later. ToW is an iconic drama, and certainly, some new dramas after this took lessons from this one. I'm ep42 for now. A loooonnng way to go to the end. I wonder how things will get nasty again. Now, it's inbetween. The situation is stable, after some many shocking events. It need to go crazy again. I'm sure it will be. ;-)

It's definitively very difficult for me to find Thailand dramas, I don't know how and where to get the content. But I would be happy to watch the dramas you propose. Look like very fun to watch.
As a script, all you say that is bad, I take it as even more good, it's what make the story exciting!
I'm so bored with consensual content, I like when it's go dirty, abusive or whatever.
I add this korean drama to the list : Miss Ripley. One of my all time favorite.
Oh! The daily drama "The Promise" too is great.

Rewatch Liar Game, but with a step back in mind. ;-)
See the unique art in this, in the acting, directing and editing.
It's a masterpiece, done with a so low budget.
With one of the most clever script ever. :-)
In itself, it's also an High-Concept never seen before. Since then, there are tons of others stories very inspired by this.
Even if you was younger, you still rated it high. Good instinct. It's not just nostalgic I'm sure. You got, even in a inconscious way, the genious of this drama. It's just too crazy as a first drama. If you start with the best, how will be your drama watcher life after this ? ^^

And if you watch Penthouse, keep also a step-back in mind. It's not a story we can take only on first degree. But the magic is many spectators (old people in Korea) take it only on first degree, and still like it. Maybe I like it because I already watched so many other makjang dramas. Over-dramatic stories. And I can see how this one push things to the extreme, in a very funny way. And still enjoy the first degree too, because actors give the best of them. It's a dual feeling, so weird.

Just one example, episode 2, 26:00. The "walt disney" dream. Here it becomes completely cynical. Putting it in this world of bastards! It's trashy dark comedy. I burst out laughing that the writer would dare to put something so deliberately ridiculous. But for all that, even such an ironic scene manages to have real power in the direction of the serious story.

I quickly read your dramalist and was surprised. You are one of the few people who watched Liar Game (Japan version, of course) and liked it. In this drama, there are psychological and intellectual games. But there is also the overdramatic storytelling, the whimsical characters and the crazy editing. It almost looks like a manga cartoon.
By analogy, think of The Penthouse in the same way. It's that kind of great work, with a lot of second degree and dark comedy. It has its own high-concept.

Justice in the family. It was a bit predictable, but better than that, a moment I was waiting.
Mother in law have a serious confrontation here. :-)
Two character designed to have conflict. Highly enjoyable.

The best drama I've seen in years.
A bet close to the impossible, between excessive makjang, over-dramatism, self-parody, ultra fast pace, divine actors' performance. A contract where the scriptwriter clearly announces: don't look for realism, because what you will get in exchange are the best plot-twists.
Even when I watch the drama in the second degree and laugh at the abusive scenes or the villainy of the characters, I always end up being absorbed so that I watch it in the first degree too, feeling the thrill and emotions.
The suspension of disbelief has crossed some otherworldly boundaries.
