I read all your comments lmao I agree the 1st episode was the most boring one, it felt like a slow paced slice…
I definitely drop this thing. I learned that it also has BL in it, on top of that. Some girls may like it, but for me, it's a deal breaker. I'll wait for the Korean version, but I won't watch on-air. I don't want to get trapped.
Vincenzo, yeah, because there is slapstick. If I resume main reasons why I dislike a drama : - Boring - Forced comedy - Procedural - Slice of life - Few inappropriate topics
SOOD check 3 of these points. No chance at all I can like the drama, I should have notice that before.
Note I don't mention "slow". A slow drama can be not boring, even if most of the time, it is. I don't mention "fillers", sometimes a drama can be good, but with some fillers, even if most of the time, high chances this drama is not a good one. Slice of life, when it's the main theme. I like some well done slice of life scenes, in a show where there is a plot. Let's say "While you were sleeping" or "I can hear your voice". SoL scenes in this are even better than scenes from dedicated SoL dramas.lol!
Hi. It's the opposite for me. Now, I'm ready to forgive some very noticable flaws. The very boring gap of episodes full of fillers is the only definitive problem (I don't remember when exactly, but should be like episodes 12-14). There is scenes with a huge emotional power I didn't watched elsewhere.
I easely jump from today dramas, older ones, or more olders ones like this one. I just accept how things are, and it add charm rather than bad feeling.
Your comment gave me motivation for rewatching a bit, so I rewatched episode 1 yesterday. ;-) Sincerely, I had goosebump.
It's quite fun to see Park Shin Hye as child actress. Her acting was good, but sometimes we feel it could be better. Maybe it's not from her but the way she was directed. When asked to half-close her eyes for example. It don't fit with her acting. And later, she didn't do that anymore. She's better with open eyes for sad scenes. And as she has big eyes, she can open her eyes even more when needed.
Is it a story really "to be continued" with a main plotline in front ? or is it more like a procedural show "one episode = one case solved" with a background plotline ?
Slow down around episode 34. The heroin is so annoying. On purpose. She want revenge but do nothing, except working as a maid or selling things in the street. She's really obsesionnal about working on useless things. All this turn always bad. Each of her move is cursed by crazy annoying people or events, worst and worst. Does she work to make money or having more debts and wounds ? ^^ I suppose she need even more suffering for stopping to be so lame.
I never watched so good acting performance from child actor. (or maybe the one in Queen Seon Deok). Young actress Oh Ah Rin was 7 !!! Driving a not so easy character, and a very funny one.
Trust is the magic that changes the world, not technology.
Hi! You are here too ? ^^ I'm not fan of messages in dramas. But at least, this one isn't overload the story or force it in some ways that aren't the thrill. It look like a small reminder at the end. It come more from the logic of the story itself than a predetermined element. Well, my way to see this.
Song Jae-Jung produced, for the 2nd time after W, a drama with an unique high concept in MOTA. Ok, we already watched stories with virtual reality, they are many. But I never watched something specific to augmented reality.
I planned to watch this drama since 2013 can u imagine this.????but I wasn't into extreme age differences between…
This small age gap is necessary in the story, we see this in episode 1, with flashback scenes. Later, this is not a point the writer drop and the script has logic in the way the relationship is because this gap. Revealing personnality of the characters. Male lead is more mature than most of people, because of his special ability. It give also funny scenes with the two lead, at FL home. The gap is also very well took into account when it comes to the SML.
First time I watched this drama, I was a bit disapointed by second half. Then I rewatched it 3 times. So, I changed my mind.
I rewatched more time episode 1. As I think it's one of the very few drama to have a "perfect" episode one, about screenplay and chain of events. Doing both exposition, reference to the past, and main plot unfolding. With very intricated scenes. Like, when the FL tell her story to the judges, it jump to flashback, jump to judges again. They want to know what follow next, just as us, audience. Then the episode continue, using process of this kind. Emotional scenes are also very powerfull and direct. No time is wasted. It go to the core, each moment of the episode. The problem is after watching episode 1 again, I often start to rewatch others episodes. A bit like a reflex.
This drama was just fabulous for a sci-fi. To begin with there was a balance between science and fiction. But…
The ending can still be decyphered in a logical way, but as the clues we get are small, it's hard to make a definitive opinion. The most important for me, it was a true emotional ending. ;-) Glad to know you liked the balance Science/Fiction. Not many people talk about that.
Perfect example of how not to make a sci fi series .
As a SF addict, I've quite the opposite opinion. I don't say that for starting a fight about that. Just than people can have very divergent viewpoint, it's good to balance a bit.
A discussion with you could be nice, but I'm sorry to don't have time to do this. I already posted many comments or analys about the drama, and now it's over.
Maybe MDL will publish a article from me about the drama, there is a part related to the SF concept. It's not really an opinion article, but more a list of specificities. Even if I enjoyed the drama, some others people already writed articles with the goal to say how they liked.
i haven't finished watching this drama yet but now reading the reviews i don't think i will... is it really that…
If you are on the verge to drop, I hope it's because you don't like it, and not because the reviews. Or just end it, as there is only 4 more episodes and a lot of answers, explaining many points you didn't catch until now. It was big mysteries drama, and for people who didn't guessed yet what happen (most of the people), you end to know what. ;-)
I ended up really loving this drama. I was so invested in it! I'm curious to know your thoughts on the ending...spoiler…
It's a bit difficult to say again what was already said. You will have to search a bit for more comments, here, on soompi forum or bitchesoverdrama blog. ;-)
8.5 to 9.0 stars for me.- I don't know why but Park Shin Hye.. I didn't see her chemistry with JSW as a couple.…
Your rating is realistic. Considering some others dramas don't have the right rating. I already spoke about that, the fact it's better to have a scale. But people don't rate like that.
The Asia Mart old man and Seo-Hae's father are my favorite characters. Haha, I didn't expect that. Despite the…
It's one of the good thing about badly rated dramas. You think first it will be the usual boring drama full of fillers or dull action. Then... You fall into THAT! Almost the more spectacular drama I watched, even if it's not my favorite one.
Some girls may like it, but for me, it's a deal breaker.

You just drop one of the major plot-twist of the story, coming late.
