Great work with your article. I disagree with your opinion, but that doesn't lessen my respect for the time and…
Hi, and already thank you for your comment.

I haven't watched Dark, because I don't watch western series anymore. I've seen a lot of comments saying that it was often boring philosophical blah blah on many scenes, and that finally nothing worked on the legs anymore in the later season. Also, the concept is a cave? not a high-tech device. Honestly, I can't compare by myself, other than to relate these comments.
I would recommend watching Primer. A 1h20 movie. It's pretty easy. On the surface.

I can't convince someone who is not convinced, and I don't insist on the other points you mention. It's part of different people opinions. ;-)

Writing an article like this is indeed terribly demanding. Two days full time and then corrections. After that, it takes away all desire to write another article.

Hi, fast forwarding is a bit difficult in a drama like this. It's possible to easily miss an important element.…
I understand. As I said in the article, in a story with lot of plots, it's difficult to make stand the romantic story. I made observation of that in many dramas or my own work. There is few and specific scenes helping love. If you missed it, no wonder why it's difficult to accept the romance in the end.
I never fastforward, I already said that elsewhere. If the drama become unbereable, I just drop it. Or put on-hold, relax, be ready, and watch it again. Maybe the writer don't deserve I watch all, because obviously, they use fillers ? I don't know. I just respect the work and try to stick to it, whatever it is. I'm all-in !!! Always. If I can't stand anymore, I drop. But the problem here, because I didn't fastforward, is, I'm angry !!! Then I post annoying comments about how bad the show is. Every method has its own problems. :-) :-) :-)

Not to be able to go on with other dramas is a very serious sign.
Certainly one of the most important works in your opinion.
Your life as a drama watcher must be difficult now.
I hope you will soon meet another drama that will hit you a lot (even if it doesn't surpass).
Try to change your style instead of SF. Maybe a melodrama for example.
Thanks to comment so much.

Congratulations on your first article. Very detailed analysis and insightful indeed. I quite enjoyed the drama…
I am not specialized in writing articles or have a great motivation to write them. But my other activities help a lot. Making a powerpoint for a big company, or writing a story, for example. ^^

Hi, as there were already articles more oriented to like or dislike the drama, I preferred to state some facts. This can be interesting even for people who didn't like the drama. It helps to situate it in dramaland.

tbh this was my favourite article on mdl so far and i loved reading it...probably because i do also like making…
Writing with a actor in mind help a lot.
One of the difficulty in setting-up a story is : it's very abstract. The world we make don't have concret reality, unlike the one we see in a drama already on-air.
It's start to be more clear while writing, but before that, it's nice to rely on some pictures and imagine the scenes. Gathering pictures about anything like places and sets can help too. Sometimes I even rewrite a little a scene after I got a picture. There is even picture that can help to choose a plot, during preparation phases.

Title Sisyphus: The Myth Spoiler
Scene where we see Sigma upload a nuclear bomb to provoke war chain reaction.
There was already near a infinite number of loop before the one we see in the drama. (and the drama show some alternative events at some times, like if it show a previous loop, break, return to the beginning, without showing it, only next scene you understand it was redone).
Very first loop is unknow. Maybe just : no war, Tae Sul build uploader. Sigma travel back in time then.
Or maybe we consider there was never a first loop.
Time concept don't work in a linear way but with a refresh of the loop. You can see in the drama that events can trigger first with people from the future, triggering events in the future where people will travel, a create the initial events. It's paradoxal. Cause and effect law isn't past to future. It's a whole timezone set like that.

It's like : you receive a red cup from someone with a letter saying : travel back in time and send me this red cup. Year later, you travel back in time, write the letter and send the cup to yourself.
Where come from the red cup ? No answer except, it's part of the paradoxal way Sisyphus concept work. You can check the cause and effect logic anytime, it work. Cause can be from the future. There is no illogism, but there is paradox.

Hello, I would like to know if this show is of the type "One episode = One case solved".
Like "One episode = one house sold, or one ghost chased or healed." ?

That's TERRIBLE news. Disney will poison K-dramas. There's a reason we watch K-dramas instead of Western crap.
Woke as a generality, with very formatted contents, and dubious morality. It remains to be seen whether they decide on the content or leave it up to the creators like Netlfix.
However, even with more freedom for Koreans, Netflix also acts as a Trojan horse, choosing certain projects over others, and pushing it according to their agenda, favoring compatible agents. Fortunately, they also buy other dramas for their commercial value. I'm surprised this network doesn't push their buttons more, but maybe it's a matter of time.
If Korea loses its cultural specificity, this country will end up like many others. The various favors granted to this country, various prices, are like a call of the foot to fall in the rank, or a thank you to do it.

yes, viki or even viu (since they call River where the moon raises as Viu production), honestly if anyone is interested,…
I was talking with a Korean relative who knows the Korean system.
Everything works by master and apprentice. "Sunbae".
The writers have assistants. One day, some of the assistants become top screenwriters in their turn. It takes a long time.
It's an obligatory career path.
The ones who are luckier are those who produce something independent and successful. For example, manhwa writers, whose work is then adapted. But they don't make the story anymore, a screenwriter do it.
