It is my fear that this will turn out to be the biggest BL hit of 2022 in Thailand and all of us interfans are totally out of whack with the Thai market. And that there will then be a 20 episode sequel. And copycat series galore.

When it was announced, it was for 20 episodes. I wasn't certain when they dropped it to 16.

And they weren't really all that passionate about it. That's the type of thing that happens when you just give into the passion of the moment and all the libido and id just comes pouring out. I guess its no worse than Payoo and Rain finally having sex on the beach by the light of the fire beneath the balconies at the hotel where anyone and their uncle could have witnessed it if they had gone out for a late night smoke or to get a coke from the vending machine.

Yeah. Its possible that everyone is trying to set Yoshi up. Which might explain why Ampere conveniently decided that she didn't need to hang out with the movie stars.

You'd think a guy stealing food to take home to eat another time might have some benefit of being a good practical organizer of a household budget. Stretch those hard-earned dollars. But it comes off like its just a random quirk. Its what someone who was raised not knowing where their next meal would come from would do, but I think Ai might be be even wealthier than Nhai.

I think its because Nhai isn't ready to spend too much time with Ai so that his friends would know. And right now its all about putting up with Ai's bad habits, so a lot of domestic scenes.

Originally the MDL listed a 20 episode run. I think reducing it to 16 was just wishful thinking. Based on the preview next week, nothing will be resolved, so there's probably 4 more episodes to go.

I just can't, though. The show has worn me down. I usually try to complete these things once I start them, and watch due to the sunk cost fallacy. But I just can't. The show has done everything it possibly can to lose my interest. It wins. I'm giving up.

At this point, just getting to the end would make me happy.

Yeah. I'm interested in seeing where they go with some of the issues raised in the first episode. We're often told that the issue of labeling the couple in terms of "husband and wifey" is simply cultural and no big deal and if we bristle at it, we're either being culturally insensitive or misogynistic. Yet, here the Peat gets this label put on him and the fact that he can't change it matters to him a lot. Its so frustrating to watch everyone tell him that what makes him upset shouldn't make him upset and him being unable to articulate why its making him upset.

I don't know for sure that Kla is gay or likes Peat any more than just as a thing that could make him popular. What I found interesting was his use of the "complete man" or "real man" term to describe one of the other cast members and Peets reaction to that. Its like he's trapped in this space where telling Kla the truth means that the guy he has a crush on will look down on him.

I'm stuck between wanting him to win this competition but I don't want him to suffer this much either. He wants to support his family and remain in the closet, and it would probably be better for him to go somewhere and work out his issues in private.

It's o.k. I'm not exactly what G-Design got out of that meeting anyway. Sounds like "renovate. renovate immediately. I don't care about the cost and don't care what it looks like." I mean, I guess they heard that they have a blank check to do what they want.

LOL. In any situation where people were randomly thrown together, Mos would be the most beautiful boy in the room. But not in a drama where everyone is managed. I mean, come on. He is not average. You must have attended that high school where only the most beautiful were allowed in the door, or work in an office where HR recruits from the Hotboy University pages.

I'm always amazed by the introduction of new step mothers. I don't think its just a BL trope. But in a lot of series, they seem to be brought in as a surprise that's guaranteed to have a negative reaction. "here's your new mom. I could have talked to you about this as an adult beforehand, but you're my son and you have to accept whatever I do anyway, so I didn't bother. If you're in shock, its you're own character that's at fault."

Yeah. They danced around the rape issue with the use of those magic aphrodisiacs. Yai was going to rape Mankorn. Then Mankorn was going to rape Yai, but then the magic potion kicked in and they just started having uncontrolled sex. Because that's how fictional love potions work.

-Can’t tell if Louis is the worst manager in the world or the worst friend in the world. But who on earth hands off his milk cow to someone without instructions on his likes or dislikes.
-one thing I like about Thai series is that an adult character can mention that he’s afraid of ghosts and the other characters are like “yeah. Makes sense to me. Who isn’t?” as if they meet people like that all the time. Because they do probably meet people like that all the time.
-Nothing to write home about, but compared to other series that were probably produced because someone knew someone was offering a free stay at a resort if it would be featured in a BL series, this isn’t bad.

I’m a big fan of Bai Lang’s purple striped shirt and I want one.

Decent BL, half-assed Blacklist though.

Gosh I hope it isn't revealed to be someone we haven't even seen. The thriller aspect of this series has been a slog as it is. That's just really poor. "Zoiks and Jinkies. Its someone we didn't even meet until we ripped off the mask." I will laugh a lot if Dika faked his own death so that he could secretly harass World Remembers. He'd go from "Teacher-Hero Beloved by Everyone for his Understanding" to "Extremely Weird Creeper who holds Petty Grudges against Teens" in 10 seconds.

I'm going to give Rain a pass because the real reason he wasn't staying around is that the writers needed to figure out how Praipai was going to get inside to give Sky a sponge bath (which they didn't even bother to show us). The actual Rain wouldn't have done this, but that's not the Rain they needed to show up at the time. I don't even know why Rain would call Praipai at all even to tell him that Sky was in the hospital, except that it was episode 2 and sponge baths are really important to include in every Thai BL.

I'm going to miss having Amagi in my life on Friday mornings. Its been a treat. That said, I think the series ended about the right time before its formula got boring. There's only so many times Katori can jump in and give fatherly advice when the two leads have worked themselves into a lather about something. I could support a sequel every once in awhile of them in university and another when they start working, but in short bursts. It would also be amusing to see the ever so always on point with the advice Katori be in a relationship and end up releasing the inner lovestruck teen that we know has to be inside him somewhere. A few short series here and there, but not years upon years of the same sit com episode each week like a US series.

In a sequel though, I want them to go to a barber. Seriously. Every mob in the series has less distracting hair than these two.
