I'm so confused why it dropped from an 8 to a 7.5 so fast. but just finished both episodes and its really a slice of life show. slow, light hearted, youth story at the moment. Just waiting to see when and how they part and it looks like it'll happen soon.

3v1 is surely not fair against a man or boy rather that just wanted to see his girl lol I say 3 cause Zhao Zhao's father really just watched lol I still don't mind Zhao Zhao's parents and Yuzhi's dad. from the six sect folks, they're the only ones who at least try to think differently. they're obviously not making moves and fighting for it, but they're also not for it which I guess might be worse, knowing its not right but not doing anything about it. I kind of hope that Yuzhi does come out of his righteous shell and help MQY out. he clearly knows the dude is not evil. theyre rivals in love and petty with each other but he also clearly sees his love for Zhao Zhao and that he hasn't done anything that he should be executed for. I'm assuming theres a bigger picture here where MQY, YGY, and SGH are acting in a play to draw out the man in black by having Nie Zhe back in charge but who knows. man's literally upped and left his sect to chase his girl. speaking of his girl, she obviously broke off ties with him in the prison cause she knew her master was there. so i really want to know what she's gonna do. oh, shootout to Lingbo for helping a girl out. annoying as she is most of the time, at least she has some redeeming qualities unlike some other cdrama characters. cant wait for the rest of the episodes!!

she's mentioned almost every episode LOL and is kind of the entirety of why everything in this show happens. she's not the main character but the storyline pretty much revolves around her. romantic storyline is a yes/no kind of thing. its there but its not fleshed out as of ep 26. I honestly wouldn't mind if they did a sequel that was more fleshed out. I feel like Wan Peng and Li Yun Rui would've been a great tragic couple haha

Honestly, no one in the six section seem like likeable decent people except for Zhao Zhao's family. Sometimes Yuzhi's dad too cause he at least listens and comprehend. Some of these other folks are straight up plotting for power and hidden in the shadows or listening but it goes in one side and out the other. Like, I've always had issues with people listening to other people and then just straight up being like no you're wrong cause theyre portrayed as evil so they must be evil and we're the good people so everyone on our side must be good. like folks, thats not how the world works lol theres bad and good people everywhere.

I need a season 2, please cause what was that ending?! I'm fine with open endings but I need more than just a 2 second reunion 😭

There are times when I see the ML force a kiss on the FL and it gives me an icky feeling but I think it was well done here. We, as the audience, can clearly see that Zhao Zhao knows she feels something more for MQY. she's just not acting on it because 1) she's engaged and 2) he's part of the demon sect and so she's hesitant on how that would impact her parents and Luoying Valley.

the ML has been quite patient with all of the FL's rejection, so he understood that she was hesitating and was waiting it out with her. however, with the wedding being nudged and urged and talked about all the time, he really wasn't about to lose the only person he truly cared about. he kissed her as a way of wanting her to realize that there really is something meaningful between them where he's not just a friend.

and let's be real. if Zhao Zhao really hated it, he would've gotten a hand to the face. not a silent retreat from her.

I cant wait for an actual kiss kiss haha if that makes sense.

also, the 2 disciples that are on Zhao zhao's side are so cute. the way they just smashed the rock wall 🤣 also, what are you about to do you guanyue?!
