After ep 20 (im at 22) the story delivery is really weak and boring, it feels like purposely slowing the pace…
same, it slowed so much, I put it on hold and just now fast forward binged it to the end. it starts well and ends well. the middle drags out and gets boring. but I find that a lot of cdramas has that issue with pacing. and also how they can't give us longer endings after the main conflict is over. 😭
wrapping up the show now and I get why people hate on the sister but I honestly think she's fine the way she is. yes she blindly followed a man thinking she could change him and threw herself at him. but the moments she had enough of his nonchalance, she stopped. while I don't think it was right of her to seek revenge when he clearly told her he didn't like her, she didn't cause too much damage. sadly, a dead eunuch and she got her karma when he stabbed her and she lost her child. and while I logically know the emperor was just a playboy psychotic boy, I'm glad that she received his love because even right before he died, it was clear he didn't treat her like a mere plaything. she had her annoying moments but she owned up to it even when speaking to her brother. she's better than some other whiny siblings I've watched in other shows that just go on and on and how their life is unfair or they deserve better, at least she was like I effed up, my bad. I deserved what I got for the decisions I made. thats that lol also, its an interesting contrast how the Susha siblings/step siblings got along well vs the Jinxiu step-siblings while both had a mother that tried to continuously cause a riff between them. though Jingyan didn't need any pushing, lol he wanted to straight up kill him and the mom was the one that wanted to keep him alive to use him eek
On 27-28, and kind of annoyed that the Murong family were pretty much given a pardon, but because it wasn't communicated to them it caused a waterfall of consequences. 😮💨 it was quite sad to see the murong harming Suige. they were all sad about it and it makes it worst when in reality I feel like had they knew they got the "Get out of jail" card about to be handed to them and with the evil prime minister out of the way, there probably wouldn't have been any more evil actions from them. his dad wanted to protect him and the son didn't want to cause more problems after his dad found out. that could've ended there. 😭
With her master pushing his demons in disguise are evil beings agenda, he's definitely guilty. I feel like he even played a part in Pingshu dying. Maybe ML's dad was supposed to help her and instead he was stopped by the master and severely injured making it so he couldn't ever leave to find her? 🤷🏻♀️ idk but master suss. 18-19 slowed down so much LOL it went from action to lets separate and then have others slowly talk about all the love issues going on but take no action. Just talk and gossip. has anyone read the novel and know who the man in black is? I don't mind spoilers haha
the show was visually stunning. and every time Tang Lici showed up, the fit was gorgeous. I must say, Luo Yunxi is a very beautiful man lol
other than that, the show started off great. was sooo draggy in the middle that it took me forever to finally finish it. however the last few episodes were action packed and moved quickly. the ending could be stated as neutral i guess. did Xue Xian Zi remember tang lici?
Honestly, I'm loving the cute banter moments between our leads. they're honestly very sweet together. Also loving the ML's followers so far, especially Xing'er. They seem more flexible than the upright sect (who were actually bullying "Chang Ning") who are more rigid in their ways. But, still wondering how I should feel about Lord Qi and Lord Song. Also, Lord song and his son have such different personalities LMAO
rewatching for fun and the rain confrontation scene in ep 5 always gets me. Just how its framed and how they're both smart people that are just trying to do the best thing for their people.
why are cdrama fans so obsessed with other people’s ratings this feels like a cult sorry but i even got two…
Lol its funny cause I actually start off most shows giving it an 8 unless I dropped it real quick or it was a super impressive start. I adjust as I continue watching. didn't realize people would actually DM folks to change ratings when the show hasn't even finished airing LMAO or actually ever since everyone has their personal preference and opinions on shows they watch
just finished UJ and just started this and Generation to Generation lol I cant tell if I like this or not. I usually stay away from more comedic dramas and this has a bit of a less serious tone than most shows I watch and its throwing me off a bit lol the leads are cute together though. and i like their characters. lol He's acts more online with a historical character than she does even though they're both transmigrators haha
So far, so good. With how the characters are listed, we know that the fake Chang Ning is the "dead" young master of the Demon Sect? I guess the question now is how did he end up at the Chang Fort, was it intentional, why he's so loyal to his "father", and seemingly, he doesn't believe it's the Demon Sect's doing. edit: nvm. lol finished ep 5.
I think the actors are doing fine and the story is interesting enough. did the ML know the FL before they met at the beginning of this whole thing?
