The scenes we got between Dream/Diesel this ep were really cute. I love that she just straight up told him that she hates his dad so there's no need to hide that for later conflict. Their clashes in ideologies are gonna come into play later on but for now they REALLY give strong WinKwan vibes especially with Dream softening towards Diesel by the time she accepts his offer to book her a ride home.
Pure and Bambi are the most adorable and they're sooooo cute, I can just feel that this is their calm before the storm. I understand that Bambi is really ambitious but her ambitions are really gonna ruin her and destroy the friendships she's made 😓
Tokyo is sooooo precious. I love how they're such a supportive friend to Bambi which made me very frustrated to see Bambi uses that to her advantage. I love the way Taste has been using the narrator's voice to telll each character's background story and for this week Tokyo growing up in loving and accepting household was just so heartwarming. I think this is also an interesting way to set up their story because usually characters who seek love elsewhere are often portrayed to be ppl who grew up in broken families, ones lacking family/parental love. So this was a nice subversion to the trope, showing that even if you are surrounded by love and that you love yourself most, it still may not be enough and there will come times where you develop feelings for others and want others to return the sentiments.
I'm a bit sad that they haven't resolved or given us clues into whether Tokyo decides to go through with breast surgery or not but hopefully we get them more in next episodes and I also want to know whether they'll find out that Bambi had stolen styling credit in order to get that meeting with Khun Duangtawan.
I love the monologue Duangtawan made about fashion industry and taste. That and Tokyo talking about how fashion is a political statement were really great. NGL I didn't feel bad for Bambi had all for receiving that entire lesson from Duangtawan, felt like she really needed an adult to talk sense into her because she couldn't possibly enter the fashion industry if she wasn't serious with it like Tokyo was.
so they don't have this line in the korean version?
There wasn't that line and ML in the Korean version wasn't narrating right at the first episode, the way the Japanese version does it is a little different. Seems like ML is a bit more prominent in here than the Korean version

Nope. I'm watching Taste uncut with vietsub and I can attest the Youtube version is not missing anything because I tried matching the soft subtitles with it and its really the same. Maybe when the NC scenes come, One31 might shorten 2-3 secs of teens kissing or something like that but we'll see then. For now, it's the same 🤗
No but there is no difference between uncut and the youtube version other than like 1-2 seconds editing and the youtube version doesn't have the credits of the people who work on the series
Does anyone know what the show is about? I want to watch b/c of Punpun but I still want to know what it's about....
FL played by Punpun got her house/neighborhood burned down by a businessman bc they wanted make space for a shopping mall. FL comes back 15 years later to seduce both that businessman and his son to destroy their family and make them pay for what they did to her family.
i read through the novel as shared by someone in the comments and i can genuinely say the series really works as an adaptation bc it has the spirit of the novel meanwhile the novel was rather thin on plot with little to zero conflict/climax. the series has of course dramatized the novel with way more villains and obstacles for the main character but tbh they make armin's journey to stardom again more fun and challenging
Totally random ass question: does bls like kinnporsche, tharntype, love syndrome, love in the air, unforgotten…
Not really. If we talk about slap kiss as a GENRE then there's never really been a BL that aligns with all the benchmark tropes of a typical slap kiss lakorn (main character being wronged, main character coming back to seduce the other leading character, one character saying something offensive to the other person, causing the other person to slap them and then they retaliate by a kiss, and most importantly a dialogue that resembles something like "if you keep slapping me, i'll keep kissing you".
I do think many of the BLs that you mentioned above has dub-con/non-con so some scenes/moments are quite close to the slap kiss cliche where characters follow a slap by a kiss or makeup sex but that's not the exact same with the slap kiss sub genre of lakorn in my opinion. I hope this answers your question
I can't even remember what I did/was doing 5 years ago. Memories are fragmented and not linear, not to mention…
He does remember things and he is in fact using his skills to change things, avoid bad things happening and dealing with people who trampled on him in his past life. The person above is misrepresenting what the series is like. The difference between this MC and main characters from other time travelling dramas is that he has a tendency to blurt out things about the future like he's thinking out loud. The characters around him seems to think he's still a bit cuckoo and traumatized from his accident but he's just being straightforward and blunt which is a part of his charm.
