it is the opposite for me, i like both the movie and drama but i feel nothing magical between the main lead in…
It is exactly that. Personal preference.
The FL’s mother is not likable. Her family is not likable. The FL, herself, is not really likable. That equation only leaves me really with the ML…🤨 I am having flashback straight from Renascence; where Chen Zhe Yuan played, Ye Jun Qing/Prince Su… The only likable character in the entire drama.
With Itaewon Class, the Korean film industry took a giant step forward; towards portraying social issues… And now, with Light On Me, they are also taking an innovative step forward; towards the BL genre… I am most certainly impressed.
PS: Light On Me was not flawless; however, I absolutely enjoyed the ride.
Whenever I start a Chinese drama about high school to college and coming of age storylines… I always compare them to “A Little Thing Called First Love.” Unfortunately, I have yet found one that gives me those same magical feelings as “A Little Thing Called First Love” did.
And as for “Secrets in the Lattice…” I am not feeling anything, magical. This is most likely a drop or a really long undetermined pause, from me.
I totally agree with your comment.I also think that it was dumbfounded ignorance but definitely not malice. Should…
C-ent is a scary bunch. I remember saying while watching Word Of Honer… That finally, Zhang Zhehan is showing some serious improvements with his craft (Acting skills). Then, they totally destroyed his career.
While we are on the subject, something came to me this week. There is an idiom, where I come from… “Reducing a fire by building a bigger one.” Among the big scandals that are currently going on, in the Chinese film industry… Who is most likely to benefit from a bigger and unrelated scandal? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Wow really. So how is Cross Fire better than The King's Avatar in your opinion?I have yet to see them both
I have only one word… EVERYTHING!
Cross Fire was one of the very few greatest modern dramas of 2020. From episode 1 to episode 36, there were no fillers and no boring moments. Each actor and actress played their roles to perfection. By far, BEST ACTING PERFORMANCES by both Lu Han and Leo Wu (Until… The Long Ballad, that is). Their synergy, their chemistry and their bromance resonated through the scene. The integration of life-actions in the CGI’s fighting sequence scenes were amazing... And very well directed. I was utterly impressed by the storyline and at the time, I was not even an avid fan of Esports concepts, as I am now.
Spoiler Alerts: - Very realistic ending; which made this new concept very successful. - The romance blossomed for both male leads. Lu Han impressed me with his “Rated R... abilities.” I am not going to lie; I am still shocked... And Leo Wu’s romance was sweet, charming and so adorable. Fyi: His love interest (Portrayed by Dai Lu Wa) was just as interesting as his character. Surprisingly, she was not annoying nor obnoxious as it is “The Norms” for most female leads in asian dramas... - Both male leads met in the past and in the present.
*The general consensus: “Cross Fire 2020” is a MUST watch. Right now, there is not an Esports drama concept out there that can yet surpass it.
Cross Fire’s bar is so high… Currently, that drama has no match and no contender. I had unreasonably high hopes for Falling Into Your Smile; however personally, I was completely disappointed by it. (So much so😔… That I still have yet gone back to finish Ancient Love Poetry with XuXu)
With The King's Avatar season 2 on the table; Cross Fire could possibly and finally get a contender… Although, I did not care whatsoever for the romantic side of the story in season 1; on the other hand, the Esports side was actually extremely well made. So I hope that they correct all of their glitches in season 2.
Anyone has any news from Leo Wu’s accidental face burn on sets, during the current filming of Love Like The Galaxy? Everything has been so secretive about this accident.
I came here as I'm REALLY upset and sorry for ZZH. I have watched only one drama of him and I am not even a fan…
I totally agree with your comment. I also think that it was dumbfounded ignorance but definitely not malice. Should Zhang Zhehan suffer repercussions for that ignorant past action? Maybe… However, I think that the popular and immediate reaction was excessively severe and downright over-exaggerated. Unfortunately, as a public figure who is constantly living inside a fishbowl… Also unfortunately, as an Asian actor who is an entertainer, living in a very rigid Chinese society… Zhang Zhehan just met with utterly bad luck.
One thing for sure… Purposely digging up some wedding pictures from 2018, in order to scrutinize the specific wedding location and the actor’s personal perspective on history… That is what I call PURE MALICE.
I thought I was getting too blasé… Because me neither, I could not feel this “Amazing Chemistry” between the 2 leads… That everyone else seems to be raving about.
I remember dropping it back then. Is it that good?
If we completely remove the FL character out of the equation (Which I actually did)… Hello Monster is a beautiful, a very emotional and a stunningly well made drama about 2 biological brothers, destined to follow opposite paths in their lives.
Hello Monster with Seo In Guk and Park Bo Gum… This is the Thai version😬🤣. There is absolutely no way in hell; they could ever beat or even come close to the original Korean version.
I just don’t like her character.
Therefore, this drama has been placed on pause, indefinitely.
Thanks for the info😀

There is a Thai movie?

They literally live inside of a fishbowl.
What’s so blessing about that?
