1 episode in and i was like wow that was fast. 20 episodes in and im like why on earth am i still here?then i…
I was around episode 20 when my brain finally told me… “You keep on hoping, praying, and expecting that it will get better but girl, IT IS NOT GOING TO GET BETTER.”
It is confirmed; this so-called actress, Hong Su Zu can not act to save her life. One would think after her disaster in “Impossible Heir” she would have learned something… Get some acting classes, an acting coach, some acting training… But no, still can not act. This production could have been so much better with a different actress… any other actress… instead of her.
Fyi: Am I the only one who thinks she looks like a poor imitation of Meng Zi Yi? With the same expressionless acting.
I completely agree 10000000000%. Three-quarters of the story was well written, well directed, well cast, and well edited. Then suddenly BANG 🤯, it all falls apart. It’s as if the entire production suddenly took a nosedive. I’m taken aback, doing a double take. What on earth went wrong?!
Oh well, without Leo… They completely lost a die hard fan of Nirvana in Fire. I was overly excited to watch Leo in this 3rd production. It would have been a wonderful homage to the original. And Leo is such a mature, all-around and versatile actor. Plus, one of the manliest young Chinese actors around.
The production should have been retitled, “Unhanged.” Every single character in this show is out of their minds. Absolutely none of them is remotely likable. If that was the point the writers were trying to showcase… Then, great job there.
Fyi: Kim You Jung portrays this narcissist/egotistical/sociopath/psychopath character remarkably well.
i think it’s sad that much of the audience did not understand what this show set out to say underneath the romance…
It is an extremely well-executed, well-written, and well-cast production. Full of metaphors, silver linings, and innuendos. The well-choreographed action scenes and the mature romance are simply the cherries on this cake.
I SIMPLY LOVED IT. Reminiscent of “Healer” and “K” but much more adult-oriented… Much more mature. We don't often see Kang Dong Won on the small screen; however, when he does… He slays it.
The rating is undeniably wrong. It should be significantly higher.
They used exactly this process for “Ever Night 2,” and they will probably do the same for “Nirvana in Fire 3.”

It was hard to finish.
Her character, well-believable at the beginning, becomes a truckload of nonsense 3/4 through.

It is so bad that I don't even know how to categorize it.

It is a hidden gem of 2025.

THAT WAS REALLY BAD.
FOR ME, THAT WAS A DISASTER.
2 BIG NAMES. PRODUCTION WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST.
