Exactly my thoughts, the 3 episodes were bad but my biggest problem in 2gether was the last episode itself. While the high 5 was a joke, it didn't made me as mad as the flashback scenes. They were pointless and there was no proper resolution to the conflict that happened. Tine suddenly forgiving Sarawat made no sense and I felt like I wasted 1 hour watching of it.

Great review! I finished the show 2 days ago, just binged it since I had time and I wanna see why my guy friend loved it so much and how it touched his heart.

Watching the show left in questions. All this time I was thinking on how and why Third fell in love with Khai. Also, if Khai never saw the video in the first place, would he still be in love with Third? Did he force himself to fall in love with Third because he felt bad or was it for his personal gain or he really fell in love with Third? I always felt that Khai was just taking advantage of Third. Maybe it's just me...

I did talk about it with my guy friend and he replied saying that it's quite normal for someone to be attached to their closed ones and Khai doesn't know and that's how boys work and sometimes boys they will take time to 'rethink' everything and that's just how he fell in love with third in a way that he opens his heart to see if it works. I told him that I was analysing the characters himself and he replied saying that sometimes I have to analyse the situation cause boys can be open to something if they want to experience or give it a shot and I stopped there.

I'm probably just dumb and I don't understand boys well ahaha

Let me tell you why I love #TheUntamed. It’s wonderful that this series was able to bring Asian LGBTQ+ representation to the forefront of a mainstream show (that too one made in China) but what I love most is that it isn’t ABOUT being gay—it’s about two people who fall in love

While it is important to show the pain and struggle our community faces just for being who we are, it’s also a nice change to see a story that’s about us but also cheesy, romantic, dramatic and beautifully filmed. We are deprived of this kind of content in mainstream media

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji experience the greatest tragedies of their lives but they don’t face those problems BECAUSE they’re gay—their tragedies are caused by the ripples of selfish actions of various other individuals. Their relationship instead becomes their greatest strength

They face their fate together and and endeavour not to lose each other again because once was enough. Their (cinematic) society doesn’t blink at the fact that they very obviously have feelings for each other and it’s accepted that they’re special to one another: they are soulmates

I was so happy to see their siblings could see what was between them and subtly approved of the relationship. Not once did anyone say any shit about how ‘two men shouldn’t be together’ blah blah! I kept expecting it because my brain had been wired that way, but it never came

#WangXian’s love is NOT the main cause of the conflict in the series and that is so refreshing. It’s important for our community to have stories like this—a pure love story that doesn’t become a tragedy because the main couple are two men. They are happy and (spoiler)

Of course I wish the censorship didn’t exist and that they could show them (spoiler) and (spoiler) (like they do in the original novel) because that’s all very much part of our lives as human beings, BUT... this is a step in the right direction.

I’m very grateful to author MXTX for writing the beautiful story that is #MoDaoZuShi and the entire team that created and starred in The Untamed. The lead actors Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan outdid themselves to portray the truth in #WangXian and... it’s pretty life-changing to me.

I usually don’t have high expectations for Thai BL anyways in the first place, Thai BL dramas for me are more of a source of entertainment for me to laugh with the University plots LMAO and I love to read comments and laugh at them as well cause I can relate to it haha and it’s as enjoyable as the drama itself XD

@nephie They are not that strict towards the donghua, that's why the donghua has more freedom compared to the live action. In TV shows, they can't depict dead coming back alive on TV shows because that's "spreading feudalist superstition" LOL. For Wen Ning in the live action, they tried to get around the censor by low key saying he didn't die but just got his spirit seize by the dark energy and looked like he was dead when WWX and Wen Qing found him.

That's why the show toned down WWX's puppet making powers during his Yiling Patriarch days (he was way more powerful in the books with his command of huge corpse/puppets army) and used Nie Ming Jue's sword's spirit to guide Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian to unveil Jin Guangyao's plots, instead of Nie Mingjue's severed left hand guiding them to collect his remaining body parts like the book has it.

No this nor that. Nevertheless, the show did a good job. This show was almost banned. I was surprised that it passed censorship

It really depends on how you view it and this show is based on a BL novel. I've rewatched the show twice and I know the hidden romances inside. Some view it as bromance, some see it as BL. I've added you btw. If you have any questions you can DM me. The writers did a good job in the subtle romance. If you want to know, I'm here to tell you. If you don't get the story, I'll help you :). I have a friend who's watching the show rn and when I told him all the hidden romance, he himself got shocked. I'm just gonna say that it's very obvious in the show.

Technically in the drama, they used Shesen spell (Spell of Sacrifice). It is a spell of sacrificing one's life that brings another person back to life. (If I'm not mistaken, bringing dead people back to life is banned in China, read it somewhere but I'm not sure so they used the same actor. So in the drama, WWX was presumed dead) while in the novel uses Xianshe spell (Voluntary donate his own body) and Wei Wuxian soul is living inside Mo Xuanyu's body.

Yes please watch it! There's a lot of hidden romance inside and I know it in quite a lot of episodes. I'm a sucker for fantasy. Also what's not better by seeing that ship dynamic where they’re both powerful individuals who work splendidly well as a team and how they constantly save each other & will burn down the world to protect each other & woe betide anyone who stands in their way. That’s my aesthetic *chefs kiss*

Also, even without the kissing or explicit confession scenes, it's just very obvious in my honest opinion.
