I just read someone's new comment on here and I won't reply to it just because I don't want to make them look or feel badly but they literally missed the entire point of the show. I cannot fathom how they failed to understand the ML's logic and thought processes when it was explained so thoroughly and consistently, repeatedly. They also didn't understand the FL at all. That commenter comes across as closed-minded and stubborn in a manner very similar to the prosecutor in the drama, albeit much less mature and rational than him. *smh*
I probably shouldn't say it because it'll seem mean but I really am not trying to be - I'm just stating a fact - but some people truly lack the mental capacity to get things sometimes. It's unfortunate because there's so much they're missing out on.
Just finished watching this. So much agreed on all your points except number 4, because 4th point is kind of the…
I seem to remember something along those lines too. I can't really remember the specifics but I do seem to remember there was something more than just the fact that the nurse had been lying all along that was revealed later on when we found out the truth about what actually happened when that murderer died.
I'm happily volunteering (as tribute - LOL!) to rewatch it all over again to confirm. I'll let you know.
Does it contain too much romance? If yes, then I'll be skipping it and save my time
The romance is there but if you're not a fan of romance I DO think you'd still be able to enjoy this. There's so much else happening in the drama that the romance really isn't the emphasis at all but it blends in rather well with the story. In fact, the romance is used as a part of the intrigue as the potential relationship between the two leads opens a whole other can of worms relating to decisions surrounding patient treatment. It's really difficult to explain without giving spoilers or really going into the story.
It's definitely not a romcom or romantic drama like those where the hospital and cases are just the setting for the romance. It's the opposite. The main focus consistently remains on the medical cases and medical ethics. The secondary focus delves with a backstory dealing with the ML and his history surrounding a euthanasia case (as tagged above). The bond developed between the leads stems from they own medical ethics struggles/issues and in working together to solve extremely complicated cases. So the romance that develops flows and makes sense and really shouldn't alienate you, I don't think.
I'm watching this again for like the gazillionth time (or 4th) and it just hit me that the Prosecutor should have known all along that something was fishy about that psycho woman's claim that the murderer had wanted to live. He KNEW how much she hated that patient and why. Yet she went and became his nurse??? Did he really believe that she could have convinced that patient to sign anything? Does he really believe she would have even told him about a potential new treatment that could benefit him?? Really???
I feel like an idiot for only realizing this now. But I love the damn show so much anyway I still don't care! LOL!
Just finished watching this. So much agreed on all your points except number 4, because 4th point is kind of the…
You are correct. I've watched this drama several times. The murder's mother did not want him to continue suffering and begged Doctor John to let him die but he wouldn't do it, at first.
The child's mother lied about the murderer wanting to live and forged his signature on the document. It was impossible for him to sign anything or even be coherent in his condition.
It's been a long time since I watched it last and I'm about to watch it again now so I'll confirm about whether or not he was covering for the murder's mother though because I do remember their being some revelations about the actual death itself, other than the fact that the child's mother had been lying.
they wear different shoes in the operating not the high heels, they wear crocs or something, did you seriously…
Not sure if you understood the original post actually. They were saying it was ludicrous to think that doctors would wear high heels at all and that they were portrayed that way. The operating room was just an example.
The commenter was saying it was dumb. We all know that even if the went to work wearing heels they sure as hell wouldn't be wearing them throughout their shift, all day long. LOL!
Can someone tell me if this is worth watching? I remember I watched some of the episodes but stopped because it…
Oooh that's not a good sign. "Stressful"? I'm trolling comments trying to decide if I want to watch this but your comment stopped me cold. Just what I needed to know.
I am frustrated with the writing. So many bad/evil people with no consequences.
Oh hell. I literally just posted about being only 12 mins into the 1st episode and already being angry at the fact that the ER doctor hadn't wanted to be bothered with that drunk patient that had been brought in from the train station. I'm so disgusted with her that I'm having a hard time continuing to watch because I CANNOT see more immoral and lazy behavior from medical practitioners in yet another drama right now. So, to convince myself to push through I decided to scroll through comments to see if there might be any other red flags to look out for. Didn't have to look far to find these posts.
I've put off watching this for so long even though I've wanted to see if for quite some time (I liked season 1) and want to see season 3 so I'm REALLY frustrated right now.
I loved the 1st season so I don't know why I keep putting off watching this 2nd season and I already have season 3 on my watch list.
I just tried starting this though and, less than 15 mins in but I'm already turned off. Not by the show as a whole but by the ER doctor who was dealing with the "drunk" guy from the train station.
I watched another kdrama not too long ago where the FL doctor's negligence led to the patient's death - she'd assumed a woman's husband had been beating her (an assumption made solely based on the fact that he had tattoos) and didn't bother performing a proper evaluation (while also stating it was too much hassle to report the so-called abuser) but instead discharged her, for her to only collapse moments later not far from the hospital. It got even worse after as the doctor then tried to get the husband in trouble so she wouldn't have to take the fall and loose her license, but I digress. That situation left me filled with so much anger and disgust that it's been weeks and it STILL haven't gotten over it; primarily because such things do actually happen in real life.
So to see an ER doctor completely not want to be bothered to even examine a man who was brought into the ER assuming he's just another bad drunk (she didn't even get close to him to take a good look)... I just can't. I can't. People die from alcohol intoxication all the time, not to mention complications from alcoholism (as was the case here), so a patient brought in still needs to be examined before being sent away. It's their basic duty and responsibility! The fact that she was arguing about having to deal with him makes me sick! Had that guy/doctor not accompanied him (had he maybe worked at a different hospital or something) that patient could have died!
I'm so disgusted right now! I definitely want to watch this but I'm finding it really hard to push past this anger right now.
Is the Chairman the ML's father or not? I've always been confused about it. I've watched this so many times and every time I do I end up going back and forth on the answer. I keep feeling like he is but then he'll say something and I think he's not.
For those who've read the manga does it say if he is?
I get that he's trying to protect her purity and innocence but I really wished the ML had sat her down and explained…
I also find this ML to be the most tolerant damn man on the planet. He understands and accepts her completely, even when it hurts him to do so. He doesn't chastise her, he focuses on what's important about and to her and cheers her on. He doesn't bring the negative to her and only wants to see her happy and help her maintain her innocence.
If "supportive" + "patient" + "tolerant" = 'TOXIC" then give me a toxic man any day!
I get that he's trying to protect her purity and innocence but I really wished the ML had sat her down and explained…
She literally FED the other guy and didn't think anything about it. Look. I'm in the US and even here that shit wouldn't fly. I cannot begin to imagine how an Asian man would feel seeing his woman do that shit.
This aspect of the FL's character has gone from being just a turn off to being pretty disgusting.
It's a good thing I like pretty much everything else about the drama because this chick right here...*sigh*
I'm also relieved that they spaced these interactions with the ML out quite a bit or I'd never have been able to finish the drama the first time.

I get that he's trying to protect her purity and innocence but I really wished the ML had sat her down and explained to the FL why her behavior towards the SML was so inappropriate. Yes, he tried to give her hints but it was obvious she remained completely clueless and was extremely dense so he should have been more direct with her. Maybe it was a matter of pride on his part or maybe, due to their age difference he didn't want to come across like he was lecturing or parenting her.
Still I wish he'd sit her down and help her see how some of her innocent interactions with men can be misconstrued. For her own benefit and safety. Even if it's just to let her see how confusing her behavior could seem to someone she considered a close friend like the SML. She's really lucky the SML is a decent guy.
The FL here is a perfect example of what makes it so hard for women to confidently claim they didn't "ask for it" when men act inappropriately towards them. In most cases the woman hasn't led the man on, making it a valid claim when they reminded and reassured that it wasn't their fault that a man behaved that way towards them. HOWEVER, as a woman myself, seeing a woman behave like this FL character does really infuriates me because it is behavior like hers that invalidates that defense and that made it possible for men to ever be able to say that shit (i.e. make those statements) in the first place.
Every single action towards that new hire was extremely misleading and could easily be misconstrued, not just by him but by everyone observing them. Everything about their interactions screamed interest in him and flirting. Baking him goods, staying late alone with him after work, always gushing about him to everyone around - including to her own boyfriend - even blatantly calling him cute and always praising him. Who in their right mind watching her behavior would NOT have thought she had a crush on him? Had he not seen her making out with her boyfriend there's no way he would have not thought otherwise. Only because he'd seen that interaction first had would he even begin to second guess reading too much into her behavior. After getting to know her of course it would become clearer that her actions were innocent but it shouldn't take having to get to know her so well to be able to figure that out.
Compare her actions to that of any other female actively pursuing a ML in a drama (I'm talking both FL's and SFL's) and tell me if her behavior is any different.
Now, I'm not saying it would have automatically been okay for him to kiss her or put his hands on her or any of that. Of course not. However, it would easily be understandable had he felt comfortable (even confident) flirting right back in a variety of ways, thinking that behavior would very much be welcome. Yet some feminists would argue that's still not her fault. I call bullshit.
People on this platform love throwing around the word "toxic" while clearly having no real understanding about what makes a relationship or person toxic. I get that this is due to the platform being dominated by a rather young and immature social group but after a time it can become rather tedious for those of us with more experience in life to continue to show patience. I often wish there were a way to filter out some comments sometimes.
Oh and for those who keep complaining about the fast pace of the romance, just a quick tip for the future so you don't waste your time on dramas like these which aren't your style - CHECK THE TAGS. It clearly says on here "Fast-Paced Romance," "Instant Attraction", and "Love-At-First-Sight".
