Wow! I’ve never seen such horrible reviews for a drama - not just on here either. Everyone seems to have pretty much the same complaints. I’ll pay attention and avoid this one. Don’t really understand how the rating is even what it is based on all the negative feedback.
Netflix needs to make better choices. It seems to me that the Asian movies they pick are all pointless or trashy.
AMEN! 2 years later and I still couldn’t agree with you more. Netflix seems to be trying to turn people OFF of Asian dramas. They seem to always pick the worst ones when there are so many great ones they could have chosen instead.
I'm not sure how people got into this AT ALL. I've watched a lot of Chinese dramas so I don't mind the voice over…
LOL It was soooooo low budget I started to laugh. But once I just accepted that and watched it purely for my own humor, I found myself getting drawn in the further along I got. Started getting tired of their bickering and started wishing they’d move along to them starting to like each other already but still wasn’t enough to stop me from watching.

Yes, I thought it was messed up how they glossed over it all but the whole thing with the mother was simply a way to explain her moving in with the Han family and going to the school. It was simply a back story. They could have chosen to delve more into how that affected her and spend more time on them adjusting to the change in their relationship dynamics but it was always meant to be a short and simple series, not a deep and extremely emotional one. What you’re looking for is not what the drama is about, yet you’re upset about that. I’m sure if this was 32+ hour long episodes they’d have delved into it further but that simply wasn’t the case - nor was it the point.
