As of ep 11 I'm done with this drama. I'm going to watch until the leads finally get together but I'm not wasting any more of my time on this. beyond that. What could have been such a fantastic drama has turned into a complete waste of my damn time. The FL's behavior after the scandal broke out is what finally pushed me over the edge. Ignoring her boss' warning to still meet up with Time is when I reached my limit with the amount of bullshit you have to endure to watch this damn show. There's a great story in there but the bad is VERY bad and now, with this latest development, it's starting to drown out the good. I'm angry because I feel like I've wasted my time and truly regret ever starting this.

I made it to ep 11 and NOW I understand why there are so many people on here commenting that they only watched until the leads got together. It has nothing to do with my not being interested in their romance thereafter. I'm definitely more the type that enjoys less buildup to the relationship and more (much more) time delving into the development of the relationship once they are a couple. HOWEVER! The FL in this drama just infuriated me to the level that I have completely lost any interest in spending my time watching the rest of this bullshit. All I care about now is seeing how they finally end up together and then I'm moving on to something more worth my time. At most, if I watch more it'll be just me skimming through episodes. Not something I like to do though so it's unlikely.

Why am I so angry? Because a scandal just broke out in the news about the FL and Time. Her boss calls her in to work and tells her to cut all contact with him or it'll be her job. He calls her and tells her to meet up and she gives in and agrees to meet?! WHY? You two aren't friends! He is a CLIENT! Learn PROFESSIONALISM! She should not be meeting up with a client outside of work. If they became friends naturally it'd be different but all of his antics thus far have been under the guise of it being work. So what could possibly be her justification for ignoring her BOSS and going to meet up with this guy anyway? He always threatened to affect her job before to get her to agree but now her job is what's at risk and she's willing to risk it all to meet up with him? What message does that send to him and everyone around?

So, no, I have no interest in watching more of this fucking bullshit. I'm PISSED. Mainly because I should have never bothered starting this drama. It's turned out to be a complete waste of my damn time.

So when do they actually get together. In ep 12?

My GOD Tar is the most despicable human being. He literally takes no responsibility for his actions. He treats everyone around him like shit then is mad when they don't continue to take his shit, playing the victim and saying shit like no one stays with him. Then the pathetic loser says something as shitty as it's too late to change his ways now and that dumb FL still wants to convince him to try to win back Wawa? Instead of telling him to first try to be a decent fucking human being for once in his life?

Wawa breaks up with him and he immediately goes back to playing basketball. He starts dating someone else and treating her like shit too. Then he has the gall to be jealous when the ML meets up with Wawa?

He loves NO ONE but himself. He is the epitome and definition of a narcissist in the worst possible way.

I'm nearing the end of ep 8. The most frustrating aspect of watching this so for me so far is that I REALLY, REALLY like the way the story is progressing between the leads - it's better than average in terms of entertainment level - BUT characters like Tar, Wawa and Time are not just mild irritations or turnoffs, they make me actually not want to watch anymore when they're on screen. As a result I'm left feeling super frustrated because it could be such a great drama that, without them factored in it could easily become one of my favorites (IF the story of the leads continues to play out as cute and sweet as it has been), but I also really, really, really don't want to continue watching because I equally as strongly don't want to see those characters anymore. I would literally hate and avoid a drama with characters like these in it. The dichotomy is so strong it's ruining the experience.

They should know better than to cast someone who wasn't drop-dead gorgeous to play a character as annoying as Time. He's only newly introduced to the story in episode 8 and he's already grating on my nerves but it's worse because he isn't appealing at all.

I cannot remember the last time I saw an actress perform emotional scenes - especial crying scenes - as terribly as this FL does. I'm astounded by how bad she is. Consistently bad too!

Ep 8. My GOD! How dumb can an adult female be. She starts a fire in a pot. Instead of thinking to throw the pot in the sink and turn on the water full blast or find a damn fire extinguisher, she throws a small cup of water into the pot and, when it's not enough to put the fire out, she crawls into a corner and hide!. Doesn't try to get out of the apartment or seek help. No she literally crawls into a corner and hides!!! WTF!

He hits the ML then asks if he's hurt. WTF?! The ML says he's okay. ALSO WTF?!
Tar is abusive towards both the FL AND the ML. That conversation between them when he his the ML was literally another typical conversation abusers have. They hit the person then ask if they're hurt and expect things to go back to normal. What's even more disturbing is the ML's response that he was okay. That is the typical response of the abused. Then the pattern continues.

I hate how this behavior is being depicted in this drama. The ML needed to handle that shit right. Even if he wants the FL to handle her own issues with Tar herself, HE needed to stand up to Tar and tell him to stop behaving like a jackass. He should have punched his ass too.

I like the show otherwise but this aspect of it is making it become very difficult to continue watching.

His excuse for his behavior last time was that he was drunk. This time he's sober. What's his fucking excuse? Oh, no, perfectly following the patterns of an abuser. He hits the ML, acts like he was just overreacting and apologizes then expects everything to go back to normal. AND IT DOES. The ML is pissing me off with how he's reacting to this shit. He's supposed to be Tar's friend too. Why can't he tell him his behavior is completely unacceptable!

He is an ABUSER!

OMG YES!!!! She's the worst crier!!!

I know this is a super-duper late response but in case someone else has the same question I want to go ahead and answer anyway.

He sent her a text not too long before the dance (I think it was on her first day at her new job) where he asked her if she would be with him if he wasn't already dating her roommate. She never responded to him.

He's despicable. What the hell kind of "confession" is that? He treated her like crap all along and was literally dating her friend when he decides to ask her if she'd be with him?? He knew she'd never say yes to that. He was just being a typical abuser. The type that does wrong and then wants to use force and violence when the woman doesn't want to deal with their crap anymore. He literally said that everything that was happening between them was her fault right before he tried to force himself on her. If that's not the sign of an abuser and dang near a rapist I don't know what is. If they had been alone somewhere how would that have played out? He would have blamed her the entire time for what happened too. He just gets worse after though. I'm only on ep 7 now and he's an abusive, obsessive and violent. He is every red flag there is. His girlfriend is pathetic. Knows he was at that dance with another girl AND saw the video of how he almost forced a kiss on the FL yet she's still with him.

I like the show so far but I cannot think of the last time I despised a character this much. His counterpart in the original version is SO MUCH BETTER and he was a coward and loser for a long time before he came around.

I can't see myself liking Tar at all. He is NOT a good person. He is the embodiment of toxicity.

By ep 7 Tar absolutely sickens me as a character.

Ep 7: I really don't get why that loser Tar keeps treating both leads like they owe him explanations or apologies.

I seriously DESPISE this character. Everything about his behavior is that of an abusive, possessive stalking. Treat her like shit all along but crazy jealous when anyone else even looks at her. Cheats and does what he wants to disrespect her at every opportunity. Then blames her and everyone around her when she keeps her distance from him. Treats his close friends like they owe him everything and he's always wronged by them. HE. IS. SICKENING.

Then he goes to his actual girlfriend and continues to use and mislead her. What a fucking piece of shit!

The man was literally at the party with a girl who wasn't his girlfriend, then tries to force himself on the FL while blaming her for his behavior. Then he seeks consolation from his actual girlfriend, while keeping her in the dark about everything that he's been up to.

The way he blamed the FL was like those disgusting abusers who beat and force themselves on their wives while telling them the entire time that it's their fault they're behaving the way they are.

Wow! I'm on episode 5 now and that Tar is turning out to be a real piece of shit. He's a manipulative, cheating, abusive, rapist-in-the-making (far worse than his counterpart in the cdrama version who was mostly just a cowardly loser, from my recollection...although there is the one time he tried to force a kiss on the FL in that one too).

Why the FL and the ML BOTH haven't seriously ripped into THIS loser's ass yet I don't get.

The ML I'm actually very surprised about based on their dynamic at the beginning of the show. He keeps Tar in line in terms of keeping up with his schedule and daily life. Why is he not keeping him in line in terms of his behavior?

The FL too needs to set his ass straight real quick. Luckily she hasn't been leading him one AT ALL. She's been setting him straight but after the shit he pulled at the dance, she needs to seriously cut him out of her life entirely. He has extremely abusive tendencies. All the jealousy and the blame-games he plays and lack of accountability. 100% abuser behavior.

I assure you that I'm not going to bash you or act like an idiot if you disagree with my assessment even after giving it another chance. Not in the slightest. It's just that your reactions to those earlier episodes is EXACTLY like mine were the first time I watched it. So if your opinion of it changes like mine did as the story progressed, this could turn out to be something you really ended up enjoying and I find that to be pretty cool. :)

I'll say this too. The first time I watched it I was literally surprised by how much I ended up loving it by the end. I even made a note to myself as such - that it completely shocked me how much I ended up liking it.

The second time I watched it (after I waited long enough to forget the details) I found that I enjoyed it even more from a lot earlier and got frustrated a lot less.

I just finished watching it for the third time (after waiting a long time again so I really couldn't remember the details at all) but I think I enjoyed it the most this time.

OMG he did! But he gets a tremendously better in this one as the drama progresses though. In Sunshine of my life I feel like his character didn't grow as much as this one did and his manipulative crap lasted for most of that drama...if I remember correctly. It's been a while. That drama frustrated me to no end! In this one she was the one having him running in circles by the end and he was loving every minute of it.

His actually comes around a lot faster than hers actually. I think if it didn't most of us wouldn't have lasted as long as we did. LOL! IIt takes longer for her to get over her self-esteem issues than it does for him to start acknowledging his flaws and for him to lighten up a bit and be less controlling in the relationship. In fact, I'll spoil it a bit for you and tell you she has him pretty much wrapped around her fingers for several of the last episodes, just because of how deeply he loves her. They become frigging adorable.

One thing I can say is the man learns quickly. The FL's development is slower but also not quite as frustrating as you'd expect, because she's pure and she's stronger and smarter than she realizes (or those around her give her credit for). He's the one who believes in her. She gets a lot of bad advice which will make you think things will go a certain way but then she goes with her gut which works out. There are definitely ups and downs but the show does a good job of showing them handle things, see it through and move on to the next. So whenever you get frustrated just keep in mind that it won't last long. They actually can surprise you too with how much they grow from each hurdle they overcome.

I'm trying to remember but I want to say maybe around ep 12 when she finally confesses is when the manipulation dwindles away. It's when he starts talking to her more. Their dynamic starts changing. But bear in mind he doesn't do a good job of opening up at first once they first start dating. Then when he finally does, it brings them a lot closer very quickly (like maybe 1-2 more episodes??), once she finds out why he was so closed mouth about a certain topic. Then it gets much better from there on with him. She may frustrate you some though. Her self-esteem issues go on for a while.
