Ah that's too bad. I want the show to go the non-standard plot and for once, have us enjoy a feel good movie where the ML and FL continue to strive and thrive despite all the backstabbing and betrayal. It's too typical to have the ML experience his own downfall and having to be forced out of the company.

Absolutely, I am not holding SYC blameless on the whole matter. I ranted about him very early on, around ep 9.

I was focused on WQZ this time because I was talking about the girlfriend code which she already broke from the get go by acting all dodgy.

Now that they are together and still acting sneaky, I wish the show didn't make the FL a saint - she should at least expressed her discomfort like she revealed to Lili, instead of telling WQZ that it was all good.

Of course, like you said, we are all glad that everyone moved on quickly but I want JX to express her negative feelings too instead of being portrayed as someone always bubbly and strong, smiling all the time.

Agree, my main problem is that even when JX was still with SYC, WQZ was still hovering around him too much, questioning him about his support for JX, dropping comments like she would be satisfied with a simple life with the person she loves, instead of being like JX. I felt that she was already sneaky from the beginning, always trying to get his attention. Now they are still sneaking around until they got caught, and still lied to make WQZ look innocent. Their whole side story is just unncessary and unpleasant to watch.

Exactly! None of the usual trope of drunken one night stand. Now we just have to wait to see her reaction after...based on spoilers, it should be funny

Yeah I was not expecting too much :) but I was also hoping for the same level as 'You are My Glory' - a little more emphasis on the kissing and ahem, foreplay - hehe

True, which is why I am glad he coached JX on how she can differentiate Xing Chen from Han Hai, by specialization. Yes, there is still conflict of interest there but the impact will be less and Xing Chen can still succeed.

Yeah, you summed up well the reason why I like this plot. The CEO does not get love brained and starting acting stupid because of feelings. I want HT to prove his grandfather wrong by being able to succeed in the business and also be with the woman he loves.

Your comment made me laugh but I know what you mean. They did the kiss scene well. Unfortunately, so many commented on the bed scene that it wss over hyped for me so I was expecting a longer scene. But what they showed was still good. I am so glad that JX was not that drunk and she flashed back to some of the things that HT did for her. It felt like a conscious decision on her part to be with HT that night..

I like that HT was so smooth with his actions, but he also made sure that JX knew what he did. None of this self-sacrificing “as long as she’s happy, she doesn’t need to know” nonsense. He was also quick to avoid misunderstandings and made sure JX knew where he stood with ZD.

I don’t like QZ getting away with SYC covering for her. If they have to lie about how they got together, then yeah she broke the girlfriend code.

Yeah, there’s some very convenient and lazy writing there . Either that or many scenes were edited.

Does XYX have a daughter that he is currently hiding from LL?

Episode 20 - very enjoyable. I like that the show takes the time to show the interactions between the lead, showing JX's growing awareness of HT and HT's subtle and very classy pursuit of her. The OSTs used were also very fitting.

I really like the rapport and understanding between HT and Tan Song (his assistant). One look or one word, and TS knows what to do immediately. I hope HT pays him well :D

Perhaps but why isn’t LC even trying? He essentially told the Emperor that he will go against him, confirming his paranoia.

I am glad that I was not the only one who thought so. I thought this bit was a bit of poor writing to keep the palace drama going instead of having a faster resolution
