So looking forward to a green flag ML and a healthy relationship. Usually I am less optimistic about the FL since lately CDramas "strong independent smart FL" are also kind of annoying and at times obnoxious...😂 This is Zhao Jin Mai though so I should be more hopeful since I have liked all her characters so far....
I agree with everyone - ep 10 was so good and satisfying. Mr Kim was hilarious and so “helpful” this time 😂 Min Hwan is so egotistically stupid and Soo Min is really going off the deep end. I just feel so bad for Ms.. Yang 😢 As usual, I just love watching the leads.I like Eun Ho but I'm not feeling the vibe between them. So glad that Ji Won was kindly honest.
Nice! Every episode increases my excitement for the next one because of Ji Won’s growing confidence! And Ji Hyuk’s becoming more “solid land” for her. The tension is just so enjoyable between the leads!
On episode 2 now and I’m staying because of the ML. I like his character and the actor. The FL has to grow on me - right now she’s not very likable but I figured her character will develop
I get what you mean but anyone will act like that, he know he’s in danger, everyone around him is in danger…
That’s what I am hoping but he was already king when he abandoned the FL and the others and left them to be punished. So I’m disappointed with his behavior. Like you said, let’s see what the show reveals in the next episode.
That does not justify to comdemn hundreds of people he knows are innocent and cause the death of many of them.
No it doesn’t so I guess my hope that he has a plan to ply the long game is not going to happen. Only explanation now is that he truly turned ruthless and does not trust anyone at all. However I don’t get why he would let the people he knew were against him now serve him.

I guess what I mean by his spirit broken is that his belief in justice and goodness is now gone. He’s forced to accept his fate so that he can survive. I just cannot believe that he is willing to spare the SML, the one who forged the confession but he won’t spare the people who had always believed in him in the past like the FL and her friend. I get he has to become ruthless to stay in power and alive. However, it seems inconsistent to me that he allowed people that he knows have been treacherous against him be next to him. His behavior towards the FL didn’t make sense to me either. I do love the story direction though and I cannot wait to see the confrontation between the ML and FL.
I’m going to give the ML the benefit of the doubt for now since I don’t believe he can just change 180 degrees just like that. Still it looked like his spirit really broke and his idealism gone after his dialogue with his brother. Great acting from Jo Jung Suk!
There are not too many noona romance in sageuk (historical) k dramas and this one is a great slow burn one! The FL is smart and skilled but I feel bad for the ML sometimes because she is so reckless at times! 😁
Maybe I’m just biased but it seems to me that PMY looks better and better as the story progresses and as JiWon continues to make her moves! She was gorgeous in Ep 8!
I love that Ji Hyuk is revealing more truths to Ji Won about their past 🥰
Started yesterday and caught up to ep 10. So far this is a very entertaining watch with interesting characters. Love the chemistry between Xu Kai and Esther and I am rooting for all three couples! Wan Peng is doing well too as Zhao Yan. I’m glad that she got a great part! Many familiar and good actors which make the show better for me.
Last episode was a great wrap up! First half was all resolution and satisfaction and the last half was all fluff. The Power Rangers gang still ending up together and thriving, and our leads were happy along with everyone else. Makes me homesick for my own town! It was a good slice of life drama! Great acting by SHS, JCW and everyone else. Comedy was definitely on-point.
Ep 15 was 👍👍👍 It’s the entire village that makes this show watching! So many highlights today 😁 - Sam Dal’s father’s reaction after finding the couple in the bedroom, the mother’s smile - Every scene of Gyung Tae and Sam Dal’s assistant - Sang Do and Eun Woo immediately picking up on Gyung Tae’s crush - Sang Do’s and Yong Pil’s persisting friendship - The villagers stepping in and supporting their own - Yong Pil’s conversation with his mother

Yes, Hee Yeon and Eun Ho finally met! I hope that it doesn’t take too long for that ship to sail
