Same. Idk why or when but I'm soo invested in the eldest sister's love life. It might be because her ex brings…
Totally agree with you! The ex husband needs a strong woman to encourage and support him and Jin Dal is just perfect for him. He is loving and caring and actually willing to stand up against his family for her. I really hope that they are the end game for each other.
One of the most enjoyable and engaging shows for me from 2023. This drama evoked so many emotions and carried strong messages that resonated well with most of us. It was realistic, relatable and thought-provoking.
Zhang Ruo Yun and the other actors were excellent and the characters they played were well-written. Great character and plot development, and there was a feeling of gratification as certain “bad” characters were properly punished.
The OST was really fitting and many songs were memorable. Each piece was chosen well and served to heighten the appropriate mood or feeling.
Some viewers were not satisfied with the epilogue but I actually liked it. The ending fit the rest of the story which did not steer away from stark reality. Not everything ends up in a bed of roses and not every love story has a happy ending. It was more important for me to see the kids and teachers of Class 11 thriving in their own ways. The show succeeded in that aspect and left this viewer properly satisfied.
It’s been awhile since I’ve rated a show so highly and this show is a 10 for me.
The first 2 episodes did not engage me at first so I waited for the season to finish first. Then I started bingeing and really got into it. The action and CGI are really good and the acting is excellent especially from PSJ. It is quite graphic though so be prepared. They don’t shy away from showing blood and torture scenes.
On ep 8 now and honestly the FL is quite stupid. I know she’s supposed to come across as strong and independent but she’s not delivering for me. She’s more like a wanna be empowered girl who is just plain reckless. However the actress HSH is good - she was great in the emotional scenes!
Ep 11 with the ahjummas 🤣 They definitely added color. Even Sang Do was more funny than annoying today, especially when he was all petty arguing with Yong Pil. I don't think Sam Dal could every really come between them. Their friendship is too precious.
Hopefully, Sam Dal and Yong Pil are finally making progress. Right now, I am more invested in the romances for the other sisters. Rooting for the eldest sister to get back with her ex.
I forgot how skilled and brave YW in her past life...great FL indeed. Also the ML, faithfully carrying on her legacy in the present life...and the introduction between YW's parents 🥰
I like the way the show wrapped up. I feel so sad for past life KTH but I understand why YW reacted the way she did initially. It's like being in love with one twin and feeling absolutely nothing for the other one, even though they look alike and have similarities. At least YW gave him some good memories, and little did he know, his wish would come true.
This, to me, is one of the better time travel shows. It had a coherent story. It had enough romance throughout the show, and I didn't feel deprived, even if the ending episode wasn't filled with fluff. The after credits scene was awesome though. I really like this couple. They inspired relationship goals with how they supported and communicated with each other.
The plot execution was good and I didn't think the show lost steam in the middle, as some commentators said. The different subplots made sense, the loose ends were tied up. I also enjoyed the humor, including the cringey over-acting of the second couple 😂
Beautiful cinematography, and the costumes, including the ones used in YW's modern designs, were absolutely gorgeous. I didn't find the OST particularly memorable, but they were fitting for the scenes and heightened the mood.
Overall, this was a great watch. 12 episodes were just right, and the chemistry between the main leads was excellent. Last but not least, a shout out to the ML's dimples...simply adorable!
Binged from 25 to 29 and I am just so filled with emotions. It was not only the students but also the adults who experienced growth. This is really an inspiring show.
I love the ending of ep 27 by the way with the teachers showing their support that way.
So glad that YW was honest with TH and did not just disappear on him. It was nice to see them making the best of it and all the sweet overacting 😁. I’m still enjoying the show very much. It didn’t bother me that the past few episodes were not romance fluffy. It made sense that the story had to come full circle and tie up loose ends The reactions of the characters were also reasonable. I look forward to the last episode and hope for a proper HE.
Yes - if you like action, more specifically hand combat because even though everyone went around carrying guns, they would rather fight. The hand combat is probably the better part of the show with Mik as Dave and Louis as Drago coordinating well and duel fighting against the bad guys.
No - if you are looking for romance. Very little chemistry between the main couple. Visually, they looked good together, but their interactions were rather stiff. Other than some hugs and a forehead kiss, and lots of "Are you OK?" from the ML, there was nothing else to satisfy the viewers. There was much more chemistry between the two male leads with their constant nodding and exchanging of looks with each other. There was definite romance for the secondary couple. Even then, it was a little unbelievable since the girl did so much bad stuff to the guy, so he's a total doormat to me.
No - if you are looking for a good story execution. Everything is kind of weakly linked together and some loose ends were never explained. This drama could have wrapped up without the extra 10 episodes, but the director must really like fight scenes since that was at least a showdown between the good and bad guys in every episode. Also, the bad guys were always around because the good guys must really wanted to make merit and they would never kill the bad guys. In fact, they constantly welcomed them back into the group. With this group of leads, you get infinite chances to do all sorts of evil stuff because the leads just never learn their lessons. It's like rinse and repeat - "Oh we got attacked doing this...that's ok, let's do it again because it cannot possibly happen again...ooops." Or someone is told not to leave the safety of the place because she's targetted and the next minute, she does exactly that...
Maybe - if you are a fan of Mik or Louis. They carried the show, more Louis in my opinion. They looked good and they did well in the fight scenes. Preaw did not impress me at all. She constantly had a shell-shocked look and her character was just ok, a little weak and useless. She's pretty much there to be a damsel in distress. Even though she can shoot a gun, no one gave her one to protect herself even though everyone else had one. She was constantly hiding in the best spots to be caught. Her strength is that the Naga won't eat her.
Speaking of Nagas, they showed up during some crucial moments but they were not featured much. The story was connected to them but as I mentioned before, kind of loosely. The story was also about past lives, but the plot development there was bad, and I think they cut out scenes since those scenes were shown in the ending credits but not in the show itself.
The best part for me is the romantic OST. The intro rock song was interesting but way too long. It was about 3 and half minutes long and really dragged into the start of the show.
Overall, I started off enjoying the show but it got too draggy. I would ask people to give it a watch and feel free to skip some episodes since you won't miss much.
Really well said, the scenes + costume were very pretty :’) not sure why people didn’t like the CGI, like…
Oh no, they were super adorable and made me laugh. Yes, the spitting habit was awesome...lol. Just did not quite fit the rest of the CGI. Yes, totally agree with you about Silence Wang. I first noticed him when he sang the duet with Dilrabe for EDOL.

The CGI was not bad really except like the cartoon versions of AYin and A Yu in their water beasts form. It just made me laugh. Also like you said the fire scene lol I love the songs sang by WAY and Silence Wang. Just tugged at my emotional heartstrings! I also like that they used those two songs mainly for AYin/FY and GJ/YQ and then the one by ZLS for Yan Shuang and Hong Yi.
As expected of a Xianxia drama, I laughed at the characters, cheered them on, ugly cried for them, raged against them and also rejoiced with them. After getting jaded by the endings of the more recent Xianxia dramas, I am happy that we got what we got, no matter how lack-lustre it was.
Excellent acting, great OSTs and gorgeous costumes. At times the CGI could be better but it's not that bad compared to some other dramas ;D
ZLS also acted well with her voice...as Ayin she was young, vibrant, cheerful and as FY, she was haughty, calm and matured. She is really a good actress paired well with WAY who was also excellent!
Ep 34 was fun, I’m glad that we get to see Yuan Qi in a more playful happier state before the angst starts again. I can also see Feng Yin cracking a bit 😊 Poor Hong Yi - at least he has Yuan Qi who is guiding him now…I hope we will see him happy with Yan Shuang soon! Ok, time for the express package…see you all at the end!
One more episode! Seriously if they dragged this on further, I would have skipped all the way to the end. Luckily the bad guys are finally dropping like flies so I guess the show must finally be wrapping up!

I know, it's too bad but that's how they squeeze more money out of us :-(
