This was a really good drama! The acting was superb! Definitely rewatch material. I already watched dramas of both leads, but I think they really had the opportunity to go all out with their acting here! I will miss their characters of this drama a lot and I feel like it will take some time to for me to get this attached to drama characters.
Sun Jae and Sol were iconic! The chemistry and acting was insane โค๏ธ And Sun Jae is the greenest flag of a ML, I ever encountered in my 15 years of watching Kdramas. I also loved the bromance. Tae Sung (my best man! ), In Hyuk, Dong Seok and Eclipse members were such enjoyable support characters!
I give it a 9/10. I loved this drama overall, but feel like the middle episodes had too much fillers and I really couldn't stand the second couple. I skipped almost all their parts. This kind of slap-stick, cringe comedy couple is not my cup of tea.
Hey, please somebody tell me this drama DOESN't HAVE FUCKING LOVE TRINALGE , i started Second episode and FL already…
What's up with your judgmental tone? Stop projecting you personal feelings/experiences on some fictional character. It's just the 2nd episode and he never crossed a line, EVER. Your ranting sounds childish and embarrassing... ๐
Tae Sung is one of the greenest flag of SML you will ever see. PERIOD.
At minute 47, when drunken Sun Jae thanked and hugged Tae Sung for ending their ill fate by capturing the culprit, Tae Sung was on the verge of crying. โจโจIt was subtle, because I think it wasnโt scripted, but the actor got emotional as well and got teary T-T
I really, really, really love slow-paced slice-of-life dramas. Some of my all-time favourite dramas (My Mister, Lost, My Liberation Notes, Meet Yourself etc.) belong to this genre and given my appreciation for this director's style, I looked forward to this a lot. But I just can't seem to get into this so far... ._.
I studied in Seoul for a year and watched education-themed dramas, so the education system and Hagwon culture in South Korea is not unfamiliar to me. I can relate to the context and understand the motivations and actions within this environment, so it's not the education or Hagwon plot that's the issue.
It just feels bland to me. While I enjoyed the first two episodes, episodes 3-5 were rather boring imo.
And I don't feel chemistry between the leads and that's something, that is worrying me A LOT lol Because these two leads usually have explosive chemistry with their counterparts...
Also this director typically makes my heart flutter even without overt romance scenes. The only moment that felt somewhat engaging was when Lee Jun Ho watched Seo Hye Jin with affectionate eyes during her free lecture, but even that was "mild" ๐ญ
Maybe I'll feel more once the romance truly "starts", but right now, this drama feels like a cup of tea that's gone cold. It's still drinkable, but not warm enough to enjoy fully and make me feel cozy inside.
I will definitely keep watching tho. There is a drama drought anyway and I'm hopeful that this will get better with time ๐
I think it has to do with seeing a person after a longtime, I felt the same about KJW after seeing her first look…
It's not been so long since I rewatched "18 again" ๐ She just has a really different look than in her previous dramas. Same with KJW in QOT I think :)
It's similar to amnesia only. He still feels for her and fell for her in first sight itself and going by the precap…
But how could he? He never met her in this timeline... He will fall for her again, yes. But he can't remember memories he never made tho? But we're watching Fantasy, so I guess everything is possible ๐
I was really hoping that Sol would go back to 2023 where Seonjae would later wake up from his coma with memories…
Yes, that was my hope as well. Because we still don't know if he actually died in that timeline. He was in coma, so it's unfair that it's already a finished chapter.
We also don't know why Tae Sung was at Sol's place in the middle of the night. All we can do is speculate, that he went there to inform her of the released killer, but in that timeline he didn't have the information, that she was kidnapped before. He just knew all that during university timeline, sooo.. why was he there?
The way Sun Jae fell off that cliff had me scoffing and face-palming so much lol Two cops ran straight toward the killer, even though one of them could have easily grabbed Sun Jae or at least pulled him away from the edge to ensure he wasn't in danger of falling.
It seemed like they didn't even glance at Sun Jae, who had just been stabbed and was teetering on the cliff's edge. Just a second of one cop pulling him to safety would have been enough.
Then, the cops conveniently vanished from the scene after catching the culprit, allowing Sun Jae and Sol to have their dramatic last moment hahaha
It also seemed like Sol had plenty of time to pull him back, but I guess they dragged it out for dramatic effect to make it look "long". It even looked like Sun Jae deliberately fell off the cliff. Because normally, if one was stabbed in the stomach, one would lean forward automatically, but that wasn't the case here.
I wasn't even able to be sad, because it looked so ridiculous to me ๐ And I just thought the whole time... This wouldn't have happened if there was proper communication. Well... it's done. I can't go back and erase my memory sadly ๐
I guess I would've liked it more if Sun Jae actually survived that stab and fall off the cliff and had amnesia for 15 years instead... At least all the memories he made with her wouldn't have vanished in the blink of an eye. The possibility that he would remember everything, would still be there. Now.. there is none, We start from zero. AGAIN.
It's annoying, because I connected to them because of all the precious moments they spent together. Now it's like a total new relationship built-up. And... we are back to Sol avoiding Sun Jae AGAIN. I've liked it more when she deliberately got close to him to protect him.. This whole "avoiding" him didn't work out in the first place, but now we have to do this tired game again.
I'm sorry for my rants. But I've actually really really liked this drama, so my disappointment and sadness is bigger therefore. If I would have been lukewarm with this drama, I wouldn't even care... but since I liked it a lot, it's just a lot of frustration built up while watching ep 13.
I'm still looking forward to tomorrow. Maybe they will surprise me, but this new time line has quite some loop-holes and made some things so conveniently "dumb", that it's just screams lazy writing for me.
She could always befriend Tae sung, in many ways, never had to be tied to sun jae. As for in hyuk they both had…
Yes, but these are all speculations. Nothing in this timeline was actually shown. How she built relationships with others. All we can do is speculate and maybe hope they will explain and show more in tomorrow's episode of her actual past in this timeline.
We don't know if she stayed in the past and lived through everything again or she gone back to the future after she did not meet Sun Jae. And if she did remain in the past... why was she able to that? She couldn't stay in the other timelines as her future self, so why this time?
This plot just got messy with loop-holes, that they hopefully fill. But I doubt it.
I skipped so much in ep.13, because a lot of scenes were just unnecessary and all this back and forth was just messy and annoying. And how did she go back to exactly the time before she met him? ._.
Imo Ep. 13 sucked and I don't like how all the memories they made just became non-existent or irrelevant to their present relationship. Even tho this is not exactly an amnesia plot, it's still the same outcome. Even worse, because everything what happened in the last 12 episodes just never happened in this timeline. Nothing. She never met him. All the relationships she built with either Sun Jae, Tae Sung etc. just never happened.
So I don't really get how she got close to Tae Sung in this timeline. Because I'm sure she never dated him or had any other interactions with him just like with Sun Jae. So how do they explain that? And it seems like he is close with In Hyuk as well, but how? The relationships they built in university never happened. Sun Jae and Tae Sung cute bromance also vanished into thin air.
Also how it current Sol alive and well? She was saved by Sun Jae in all her previous timelines. So how did she escape the killer this time?
Gosh... Kdrama writers really now how to kill my liking for a drama fast. I think this year I will fail to like any Kdrama until the end. The writer just made this really messy and I doubt they will clean it up.
While I still like this drama a lot, I do feel that the quality decreased since ep 9.
Ep. 8 really was the best for me. Maybe because it included only the leads for the whole episode. It filled me with expectations which the later episodes sadly didn't fulfill. It's like that curve full of excitement peaked at ep.8 and is slowly going down.
I really could do without the absolute cringe 2nd couple and some filler scenes, but I understand they gotta fill the 16 eps somehow.
I hope the last four episodes will re-engage me :) Or at least won't let my excitement sink further lol Regardless I absolutely love the leads and I enjoy the scenes with Tae Sung and In Hyuk a lot!
Also... FINALLY!!! The OST "Spring Snow" is out! I've been listening to it on repeatโdefinitely my favorite OST song this year. โค๏ธ
I loved ep. 4 so much! This drama had such a strong start for me with those 4 episodes. I really like it so far!
I'm impressed by the impeccable writing and directing, because this could be hella confusing with Gwi Joo's power, but this drama is really easy to follow.
It's quite fun to anticipate the scenes of Gwi Joo's present/future, while already seeing a part of it through Da Hae's present/past. And I love how the going-to-the-past-sequences flows so naturally to the present.
Even though I usually don't rate dramas while airing, but I'm totally head over heels with this one, that I already give my 10 stars hahaha ๐ I hope this drama will keep them until the end :')
Sadly, no Kdrama this year was a full 10/10 so far for me. Maybe the older I get, the more discerning I become ๐

Nope. Personally, I didn't like it. At all.
