I really don’t like that WSW’s mom is making CC keep her condition a secret. Not only is she placing a heavy…
I agree. She's just being a martyr. I also feel terrible for Chi Cheng, who obviously saw her as his mother-in-law and a much nicer, more caring mother figure than his own. So he's also genuinely devastated. It's so painful.
What did those two see in him? Such a little manipulator. Sounds like his brother's got his number.
That's why he did that to begin with, because he was jealous of Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu. He would rather destroy his own relationship than see them being close to each other.
CC MUST IMMEDIATELY tell WSW about his mom! Besides resolving the misunderstanding it'll give WSW time to spend…
Absolutely. It's one thing if she had something curable or temporary, but what she's doing now is keeping WSW from spending as much time as he can with her while it's not too late.
Yes, Guo Chengyu is dubbed by a voice actor in the series, so unless you've watched a lot of the BTS where we hear their own voices, you wouldn't recognise it as his voice
I lasted about ten minutes, max, before I noped out of episode 1. Sorry, but this was definitely not for me. It's shows like these that give Thai BL a bad rep.
I am wondering if bl shows hate women?I dont understand why they feel the need to put girls in bls AND then to…
I was speaking more in general about this what I call old-school type of BL. At best it's totally bland girls with no personality, a lot of the time they're selfish and annoying, at worst outright narcissistic, and even if the latter, the guys still stay loyal to them and cater to their every whim, for some obscure reason. Maybe it's cultural, and there's actually some truth behind it, idk.
There are cases where girls seem totally psychotic (original "Love Sick" had one of these, and "Together With Me" had one of the worst (the gf) but also one of the best (the friend) girls in BL).
It's a bit too early to define the girls in this drama yet, except that Tum's gf, like you said, definitely seems to fall into the selfish-and-annoying category.

Especially these old-school type BL, what is the deal with them? Firstly, it's misogynistic, secondly, it actually lowers the stakes, because any reasonably decent guy will look like a better choice compared to those selfish, annoying, sometimes even toxic, female characters. Wouldn't it be better if the girls were cool, fun and nice, and the guys still chose each other, lol
The plot is and endless loop about cartoonish villains doing something cartoonishly villainous that makes no sense…
Yod is going after Jom because he wants his post as village chief back, and he knows he'll never get it if Jom is still around. But I agree, why is that lady who is also bidding not being attacked or at least harassed as well? Well, I guess that will change now
I feel like this series is really making history. I can’t recall another romantic comedy in this genre that…
I think it's actually the case that while Thai BL is more prolific, the individual productions are in fact more small scale, because few other countries have the storytelling traditions that China does, or such a huge population = audience. Smaller country and smaller population means lower budgets and fewer skilled professionals. It's clear that RL is made with both a higher budget than most Thai BL (even if its low-budget *for China*) and with far more passion, vision and skill. But I also think that if BL was not banned in China, we'd see a lot more cash-cow BLs being put out as well, where the producers just want to make a quick buck and don't really care about the ip. But we'd also have epic bangers like nobody else would be able to do.
And it's not a secret that Chinese danmei novels are in a league of their own when it comes to literary quality (maybe not the source novel for this series, but YKWIM). China just has that kind of cultural advantage.

Check YT channel "Audio Palette", they've collected most of the ost songs.

I'm not against GL on principle, but this wasn't even good GL, it was shoehorned in
