Y'all, I'll tell you this. CC mirrors JXS with the whole Meng Tao stuff. Like JXS, CC doesn't like the person…
Yes, this! It's not directly about the persons involved anymore, it's the situations and the emotional harm they caused that are keeping them from moving on.

I know it is ironic to say, I trust he has truly moved on from Wang Shuo(no more feelings for him), but what he…
Yes, he even says it to WSW a couple of times, that it's the *situation* he cares about, not the person. And I think we have to keep in mind that while CC has had a lot of "lovers", he hasn't really been in many committed relationships. Probably WS was his only one before WSW. And he's the type that keeps things inside. So he's not necessarily all that good at handling relationship issues. And in this case, the problem is made worse by the secrets he keeps from WSW about his mother.

Love vs Like, My Pov against WS pov:I don't agree with what Wang Shuo said and I think it was obvious he was trying…
Great analysis! The words 爱 (ài) and 喜欢 (xǐ huān) both have much stronger values than "love" and "like" do in English. English-speaking people would easily use "love" in situations where they may simply fancy someone a lot or have a crush on them, but in Chinese that's not enough to warrant the word 爱. That is reserved for a much stronger depth of feeling. In English, "like" is a pretty lukewarm word with a narrow emotional value, while "love" has a wide range of value from liking a food or your friends to bone-deep romantic love for the ages. In Chinese, it's kind of the other way around, where 喜欢 has a broader range of value from liking a food to being romantically (or physically) attracted to someone, while 爱 is reserved for the strongest feeling, the one where you want to spend the rest of your life with them. It seems to be the same in Japanese, Korean and Thai. (In my language, we also don't use the word for "love" as lightly as English-speakers do, but the word for "like" also is not strong enough for romantic interest, so we use different words for "like", "love" or "being in love" instead, with different levels of value.)

I think WS is stirring up all this trouble because he can *tell* that WSW is already more important to CC than he ever was, that his feelings may already have crossed from 喜欢 to 爱. And that it's not just because there's now a rift between CC and GCY (that he himself caused). But he can also tell that WSW is insecure about it, and that insecurity is a weapon he can use. WS himself caused the end of his relationship with CC but he's still eaten by his jealousy after all these years.

As for the kiss between CC and GCY, it seems they've toned it down a lot from the novel, so the vibe they're going for here is just a stupid dare between close gay friends who are drunk and don't really understand the depth and scope of Wang Shuo's suspicions and jealousy.

As for WSW, I think he still feels very guilty about his initial deception of CC. It's a time bomb, hanging over his head all the time. So he's kind of looking for reasons for ending it, because he still doesn't feel like he fully deserves to be with him and doesn't believe that he could be that important to CC. He's punishing himself by doing it.

Hmm... I don't care how "hot" Chi Cheng is, if he were my boyfriend and interrupted a lesson I was taking…
Haha, I cheered at that scene, I loved it. Is he a red flag? Yes, yes he is. Would I love a guy like that IRL? Absolutely not, I'd run as far as possible the other direction, haha. But I love him as a character.

I'm sorry but just what in world is going on. I totally feel like the mother is fueling their upcoming divorce.…
I'm so mad at her. Even if she doesn't know about the problems she's causing for their relationship, it's still wrong of her. She's going to cause her actual son more pain in the end than if she'd just told him. If it was something curable I could understand her reasoning, but if your illness is terminal you have to make the most of the time you have left, and she's depriving WSW of that, by spending it with his supposed *colleague* instead...

i knew Chi Cheng and Guo Cheng Yu are close but never imagined the level of the closeness where they could kiss…
I mean, they're both gay/bi (and no prudes) so they had no qualms about kissing other guys, and they were very close friends, and they were drunk, and Wang Shuo basically challenged them to do it. I think they just saw it as a joke to tease WS back, with no other thoughts about it, but unfortunately WS took it as proof that his jealousy of their friendship was warranted.

Just realized there are voice actors in the cast list? Why do they need voice actors?
This is standard practice in China, and there are many reasons for it, the chief one being that China is big and has many dialects and languages besides standard Mandarin, and it can often be difficult to keep it noise-free when filming, so almost all productions dub over the voices and add some ambient sound in post production. So if an actor has a voice with the wrong accent for the character, or not the right type of voice, or maybe they are a bit inexperienced as actors and aren't great at delivering their lines, a professional voice actor will do it instead. Sometimes actors who do have good voices (or voices that suit the role) will dub themselves though. It's a profession that needs specialised skill. When they looked for a voice actor for WSW, they couldn't find anyone that sounded as perfect for the role as they felt Zi Yu did, but while Zi Yu has a good standard Mandarin accent, he is a rookie actor and didn't have any experience in dubbing, so they were afraid that he wouldn't be able to do it well. But they let him try, and it turned out that he did the lines even better than during filming. So he's the only one in the cast whose real voice we're hearing.

I found it hard to follow, maybe because I haven't watched Y Destiny yet. I wish someone would make a yt edit…
Only two of the Y Destiny episodes are about Sun and Nuea though

Please consider watching this series on the official platforms in order to support the actors and the production team. Watching this on pirate sites that have stolen the episodes from the official platforms doesn't support them at all. The membership on the official RevengedLove YouTube channel is not expensive, if you can't afford to subscribe to Gaga or Viki.

I really don’t like that WSW’s mom is making CC keep her condition a secret. Not only is she placing a heavy…
I agree. She's just being a martyr.
I also feel terrible for Chi Cheng, who obviously saw her as his mother-in-law and a much nicer, more caring mother figure than his own. So he's also genuinely devastated. It's so painful.

What did those two see in him? Such a little manipulator. Sounds like his brother's got his number.
That's why he did that to begin with, because he was jealous of Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu. He would rather destroy his own relationship than see them being close to each other.

CC MUST IMMEDIATELY tell WSW about his mom! Besides resolving the misunderstanding it'll give WSW time to spend…
Absolutely. It's one thing if she had something curable or temporary, but what she's doing now is keeping WSW from spending as much time as he can with her while it's not too late.

Apparently the actor is a weirdo though but hopefully that's just rumors.
Considering the wild unsubstantiated rumours we've had so far I wouldn't trust anything I hear about this cast

She's just hurting him even more by doing that 🤬

Yes....and Zhan Xuan sings the song at the end.
Yes, Guo Chengyu is dubbed by a voice actor in the series, so unless you've watched a lot of the BTS where we hear their own voices, you wouldn't recognise it as his voice

I'm really mad at her. If your parent was seriously ill, wouldn't you want to know, so you'll have no regrets later?
