Mediocre drama with mediocre plot and acting skills from the entire cast.

"You From the Future" is a RomCom drama with a total of 24 episodes and 30 minutes in length per episode.

The Synopsis: Xia Mo is a recent college graduate who dreams of becoming a popular blogger and gets into a girlfriend living together contract with a cold and arrogant tech company CEO Shen Jun Yao. Their romance blossom while living together in the same house with the help of an AI robot named "Starlight."

Lou Zheng is definitely being typed cast in playing the same cold, arrogant, and into contract-romance with FL in so many. Modern dramas that it is repetitive. His acting ability is one-dimension with no range. Ji Mei Han seems like a newcomer to the entertainment business since 2020; let's hope she has better potential than Lou Zheng.

Overall, it is a mediocre drama with decent but predictable flows. I give it a 6.0 rating because the plot is okay, the acting is mediocre, and the production quality is not great. Too white. The ending was no good and the lost brother story was an unnecessary filler.

Loved and enjoyed this drama, but was disappointed with the last 4 episodes.

Love Heals (a.k.a. Have a crush on you, personally, I like Love Heal's title better) is a medical melodrama that I found enjoyable to watch.
This is my first drama where Wang Chu Ran plays FL, and I can't wait to see her playing the same (doctor role) in her upcoming drama with Yang Yang in "My Fireworks on Earth."

I like Peng Guan Ying, and I think he is a good actor with a good range. I watched him in (To Dear Myseff, Two Conjectures About Marriage, and Unexpected Falling) and liked him in all of them.

The pairing between him and Wang Chu Ran is quite good; they have awesome on/off-screen chemistry. The characters that they play in this drama are perfect, and the supporting cast is not bad either for the 2nd and 3rd CP.

The young actor (Ling Chen) who plays Ning Xiang, the adopted son of Dr. Ning Zhi Qian, is adorable. No dubbing in this drama, too, so definitely a plus.

I enjoy their teacher/student dynamic, where he helps her grow and build her into a confident neurosurgeon. It is good to see that they rekindle their love for each other after 6 years of divorce.

I am giving it an 8.0 rating, and it has high rewatchable values. Again, Tencent's production quality is not good; too many bright white lights. I would give higher rating if it was ended in episode 32 because the last 4 episodes were unnecessary and stupid. To have him had an amnesia was so dumb. It discredited the previous 32 episodes.

Typical story about older woman younger man love, nothing special.

Sunshine by My Side is a melodramatic Cdrama about an older woman and younger man's relationship. The story wraps around Jian Bing, a well-known divorced advertising director, and her relationship with Sheng Yang, a newcomer in the industry.

Sheng Yang met Jian Bing 10 years ago when he was in high school. He admired her and has secretly had a crush on her since. However, challenges in life are inevitable. Faced with their differences in identities and experiences, objections towards their relationship within their families, and rumors in the workplace escalating, Jian Bing and Sheng Yang finally decided to let their future play out over time. Three years passed, allowing them to grow and change for the better. Many of their firsts were spent with each other, and this trust they held and the experiences they shared back then went around and finally found them, making them gravitate towards each other again.

The story is nothing special, but I like the comedy aspect of this drama, especially the supporting cast, particularly Sheng Yang's parents, played by Yang Hao Yu and Wang Lin. This dynamic duo did a great job as supported parents who frequently bickered at each other but had a deep love for one another.

Xiao Zhan and Bai Bai He did a decent job playing the main CP; however, the plot is nothing special, and I think Xiao Zhan's acting ability was underutilized. I didn't like the ending of this drama, so I gave it a 7.5 rating.

Short and binge-able web drama about rekindling love.

"Just Spoil You" is a short web drama with 10 minutes per episode with 20 episodes in total. I binged watch it in one sitting.

Synopsis: A Young and beautiful manhua artist Zhong Ling, to treat her son Kele's congenital diabetes, returns to the city she left six years ago due to her breakup with her ex-boyfriend Han Donglai. Unexpectedly, when Kele gets lost, he coincidentally encounters a man who resembles Han Donglai. This character consistently appears in his mother's manhua. Mistaking him for his father, Kele is taken to Han Donglai's office, leading to their reunion and the beginning of a tumultuous love-hate relationship. The intertwined destinies of the two unfold once again as they confront Kele's origin and health condition.

On the one hand, Zhong Ling's departure over the past six years has turned her friend Chu Mo into a popular superstar. The opportunity to adapt her manga into a film recommended by Han Donglai stirs jealousy in his heart, leading him to investigate secretly. On the other hand, Zhong Ling's return drives Lin Xiaxi, who has always deeply loved Han Donglai, to madness, resulting in repeated acts of secret revenge. Who is Kele's biological father? Will there be a chance for a reunion in the former lovers' relationship?

Review: It was a short and decent drama to binge-watch. No new good dramas were recently announced, and this one pop-up on iQiyi, so I watched it.

Mediocre acting and the script is decent, so I give it a 7.0 rating.

Don't waste your time with this dram - So Wrong on many levels and it cringed me.

Twilight is a drama that has gone wrong in so many ways, the plot is stupid, too many unnecessary fillers, and the acting was horrible by the main CP.

So Wrong on many levels:
- Allen Ren and Angelababy are pretty to look at on screen but cannot act. They are one-dimensional actors who can't show or express emotions during the most dramatic scenes. At least, I think Angelababy did a better job than Allen Ren.
- Their onscreen chemistry sucks, and no romantic or even kissing scenes between the two, and they are a couple.
I understand that Qi Lian Shan is a scriptwriter. Still, every episode has to fill in with what story he was writing when he got the inspiration to write the scripts.
- Some supporting roles were unnecessary to be added, like Yang You Li, Lian Jing Yun, and many others, like Professor Wan, were useless and not helping Liu Xia improve her PTSD problem.
- I fast-forwarded so many episodes, and I should have dropped it. Still, I stuck around because the character of Jia Zhen (played by Jia Jing Hui) made the story more interesting. He was a nostalgic selfish person who was incompetent on many levels but never saw it as he was at fault, like asshole Donald Trump.
- Qi Lian Shan is so stupid and clueless. He never questioned Jia Zhen, did not confront him about his conniving, and took advantage of Qi Lian Shan in many ways.
- Yuan Yuan (played by Li Yi Ru) is another stupid person who saw the evil in Jai Zhen but did not have the gut to stand up for herself and Qi Lian Shan until the last episode. Her character was another unnecessary one.
- This drama may be better in 20-24 episodes instead of 40. I give it a 2.5 rating, don't waste your time with it, like I did with mine.

Not as good as I expected

The production quality of this drama was awesome. iQiYi production quality is much better than Tencent and MangoTV.

I like the first 10 episodes of this drama because the acting skills of the lead actors are good and quite comical. The entire ensemble is good too.

However, I got so bored as the story unfolded about the fighting among the brothers, and it got draggy; hence I got bored and found myself fast forward some of the scenes.

Bai Jing Ting and Tian Xi Wei did a good job as the main CP, and their onscreen chemistry is quite good. I like Bai Jing Ting a lot and have watched many of his dramas and mostly modern dramas. I watched this first costume of his, and he did a decent job. It is a drama where he had multiple kissing scenes where he had not had many kissing scenes in the past, like Irreplaceable love, The ordinary Glory, etc.

This is my first drama with Tian Xi Wei, where she played the lead role and did a good job. I will give it a 7.5 or 8.0 rating if the drama is cut short to 30 episodes instead of 40. As it is because it was draggy, so I am giving it a 6.5 rating out of 10.

Bad script and bad acting. The flow of the story would be better if it cut to 24 episodes instead

My Boss is another romantic comedy from Chen Xing Xu. He is typecast for the same kind of role. The plot is nothing special, and it is predictable. The second CP has a better storyline than the main CP.

The Synopsis: Are Cheng Yao's dreams of becoming a top lawyer about to come true? It seems so when a leading legal firm unexpectedly recruits her. Excited, she moved house so she could be near her new office. She moves in, full of hope, and soon encounters her new roommate, Qian Heng. However, a surprise awaits her on her first day at work.

Qian Heng turns out to be her direct superior at the office, and he proves to be incredibly hard to please! Her training period quickly turns into a baptism of fire, and she starts to feel he is trying to chase her out of the company. But Cheng Yao will be more easily deterred. She redoubles her efforts, determined to prove she's got what it takes. Could her zeal send this duo to harmony and even love?

My Reviews:
1.. The plot is stupid and predictable. No one would have this kind of relationship where an employee is co-living with the boss and cooking for him. She is more like a slave and/or housekeeper than an employee.
2. I have watched 17 episodes, and there is still no romance between the main CP. No onscreen chemistry between the main CP.
3. The entire cast's acting could be better, and the main CP needs to carry the drama better.
4. Zhang Ruo Nan acted stupidly as a rookie lawyer in this drama. She did a better job in RomCom's "A Date with the Future" with William Chan last year. Their onscreen chemistry is off the chart, which is non-existent in this one.
5. . Chen Xing Xu is typecast for the same boring role where he plays cold, bossy, prideful characters in modern and historical dramas. He has no range.
6. The ending is so stupid; there is no wedding. The 2nd CP, her sister, and the 2nd ML have a better and more mature relationship.
It does not need 36 episodes; the flow of the story could have been better if it had been finished in 24 episodes.
7. The misunderstandings between the main CP are boring and repetitive.

I give it a 5.5 rating for bad script and bad acting.

It is good legal melodrama with not too much legal jargons. Deal with human stories.

Fearless is a legal melodrama about a housewife who passed the judicial examination through self-study, starting Rayzha Alimjan, Wang Yang, and Chuai Ni.

The Synopsis: Luo Ying Wei was initially an office worker who passed the judicial examination through self-study; however, she suffered multiple blows: her marriage fell apart, and what's worse, her husband Liu Ming took on huge loans, leaving her deeply in debt. Luo Ying Wei is not one to give up, as she chooses to fight back using legal means.

I like Wang Yang a lot because he is a very talented actor who can act in a variety of roles. In this drama, he plays a sleazy lawyer who seems to care about making money and does not appear to have compassion for his clients. He met his match with Luo Ying Zi (played by Rayzha Alimjan), who is opposite him. She is a strong and confident young lawyer who puts him in his place.

This is my first time watching anything with the FL, and I like her acting ability. She did a great job playing Luo Ying Zi, and Chuai Ni did a good job playing her legal partner as well.

I enjoyed this drama, and its flow was good as well. I gave it a 7.5 rating.

Mature female centric Romance. It is refreshing

"Viva Femina" is a story of three women of vastly different personalities who become best friends as they mutually support each other amidst adversity in their own lives.

The most stable of the three characters (Kang Zi, Kang Ni, and Lin Qian Yu) is Kang Zi's character. A single mom struggles to make it in business worth but is a lousy mom.

It is refreshing to see mature relationship drama where the conversation is a little bit intelligent and mature, unlike the childish conversation and misunderstanding in a RomCom of young couples.

So far, I enjoy this drama and would give it a 7.0 rating. The lead ensemble was good, and everyone acted well.

It is not a fictional movie. It is a propaganda movie with many well-known actors/actresses.

"My Youth and I" is a film divided into three units: "Banner," "Seeing," and "Searching," focusing on the Great Northern Wilderness, the Great Western Development, and the youthful blood stories of the new era.

It has a bunch of well-known actors and actresses in each unit, and the gist of the story is focused on the sacrifices of pioneers in different areas and how they make a difference in ordinary people's lives. It is another propaganda of typical Chinese movies or dramas to elevate China's power and changes over the past 30-40 years.

It is an okay movie but not that entertaining. I am giving it a 5.0 rating.

Good acting from Yang Zi. Good story about friendship from childhood to adulthood

Love Endures is a melodrama about a group of childhood friends who were there for each other and extremely close from high school to adulthood.

The Synopsis:
Huang Ying Zi, Jiang Yi, Fang Ming Yu, Zhuang Yuan, Lan Yi Fei, and Guan Chao grew up together in Hangtian City, becoming known as the "Hangtian City F6". The good friends had promised to be together for the rest of their lives. Still, they were forced to abandon their promise because of an accident in the year of their Gaokao college entrance examination.

Twelve years later, at 30, each walked alone on their respective life paths, working hard and growing up in the adult world. Suddenly, one day, they received the news that their good friend Guan Chao was about to get married. With the help of Huang Ying Zi, the old friends reunited during the wedding, and their memories of youth slowly unfolded.

Only then did they realize that the feelings that had sprouted when they were seventeen had never dissipated. Many misunderstandings were behind the accident; in fact, the friendship that stayed in the past had never ended.

My Reviews
1. When it was first broadcast, It was unavailable on my personal YOUKU App, where I am a paid VIP member.
2. I have to watch on YouTube under the Kukan channel, where the audio is silent in every episode, and the auto-translation for English subtitles is inaccurate.
3. There are too many flashbacks. I am watching 18 episodes already. It is frustrating to see Ying Zi and Jiang Yi go back and forth, and no one is forthcoming about liking each other.
4. They are now in their adulthood and still behave childishly instead of being honest about their feelings for one another.
5. Episodes 25-32 got interesting as Jiang Yi and their friends try to help Ying Zi overcome and accept the reality that Yi Fei died via suicide, but how they go about helping her from PTSD through a virtual reality game is not realistic.
6. I think it would be better if they help her go through a psychologist to overcome her PTSD instead.
7. The acting is good, especially Yang Zi's; her onscreen chemistry with Fan Cheng Cheng was okay but could have been better. She has better onscreen chemistry with Xiao Zhan in the Oath of Love.

Overall, it was a decent drama, and I enjoyed it; because of the silent audio from Kukan, I gave it a 7.5 rating instead of 8.0

Scriptwriters and director ruined this drama despite good acting from ML.

South Wind Knows is the most anticipated modern drama of the past two years and is finally airing. It is watchable but nothing too exciting.

The first 10-12 episodes were interesting when they were in M Country, but things got boring and slow after they came back to Shanghai. The conflict between the cousins is too weak, and the 2nd CP's acting ability is so bad. They are both one-dimensional actors/actresses with no facial expressions despite their marital problems and when he betrayed his grandfather.

I invested my time, watched 35 episodes, and intend to finish it. However, I am disappointed with the scriptwriters for this drama, especially since it has been anticipated to be aired for a long time.

I gave it 7.0 initially, but I am downgrading it to 5.5 because I think Fu Yun Shen is a weak man. He can't stand up for himself and his love for Zhu Jiu. The overbearing mother is annoying and a bad mom. The actress who played her is good because she did a good job of making audiences hate her.

The last few episodes were so stupid that I am disappointed at wasting my time with this drama. I believe the director and scriptwriters should be fired from making this drama.

Love this drama, and the acting was fantastic. It is funny, edgy, and tear-jerky.

Destined with You is a funny and enjoyable Kdrama. I normally don't watch too much Kdrama because I don't like to read subtitles, but this one is quite funny, and I like Rowoon the actor. I first like him in the King's Affection.

The Synopsis: Lee Hong Jo is the lowest-grade civil servant. She always does her best at work, even though she suffers from many civil complaints. In her personal life, she is used to being alone. One day, she becomes the owner of an old wooden chest and the key to lift a curse from Jang Shin Yu.

Jang Shin Yu is a competent lawyer who is smart and good-looking. He is usually in the spotlight wherever he goes but suffers from an unexplained disease. His condition gets progressively worse. He is desperate to lift the curse that has run through his family for generations. A lawyer bound by a centuries-old curse becomes entangled with a civil servant who holds the key to his freedom — igniting an unexpected romance.

I love and enjoy this drama a lot, and Jo Bo Ah did a great job playing Lee Hong Jo, and her onscreen chemistry with Rowoon is also good. They did a phenomenal job, especially Rowoon. I gave it an 8.5 rating. Highly recommended, and the ending leaves a cliffhanger for possible season 2. The

A watchable funny Romcom with many flaws and stupid ending, but I enjoyed it.

ADWTF is a Romcom starring William Chan and Zhang Ruo Nan. A decade ago, a deadly earthquake almost claimed the life of a high school girl named Xu Lai. Only the quick thinking and bravery of a young firefighter Jin Shi Chuan saved her. As he rescued her from the falling rubble, she became smitten with him as they made a comforting “promise” – and when they parted, she resolved to seek him out at all costs. Now, 10 years later, Jin Shi Chuan has risen to the rank of captain. Xu Lai has become a news reporter. When a major highway accident happens, Jin Shi Chuan saves her again. While she recognizes him immediately, he does not do likewise – and thinks she is just a trouble-making reporter.

To make matters worse, her report is taken out of context, leading many social media posters to criticize the fire department! But Xu Lai’s love for him has not diminished – and she resolves to fix this and win his heart at all costs. She becomes a dog trainer – helping train special fire-fighting canines who can help rescuers in their efforts. This brings her closer to Jin Shi Chuan.

I like the drama and the camaraderie among firefighters. The supporting cast of firemen was fun, and each of their characters was fun to watch. The onscreen chemistry between the ML and FL was not bad. It seems she was the take-charge type who did the chasing and courting in their relationship. The 2nd and 3rd CPs took too long to warm up; actually, the 3rd CP was not needed in this drama, imo.

The last two episodes were stupid, and the ending was lame. Overall, it was an okay drama; I give it a 7.0 rating.

Acting is good but the script is mediocre.

Here We Meet Again is a Romcom about Xiang Yuan's former love interest Xu Yan Shi once again.

It is nothing special about this drama; it is a brainless teenage crush and loves lost and find-it-again drama. I think both Janice Wu and Vin Zhang did an okay job in this drama. Their onscreen chemistry is not bad, but not great, either.

At least I like the pairing better than when he was paired with Esther Yu in AROTLF, where Esther Yu's character and high pitch noise annoyed me.

Xiang Yuan is intelligent, but I did not like her childish and girly character. Janice Wu's acting in this drama was not the best compared to her other dramas. The production quality is also bad, and so is the script. Too cheesy, but the OST is good. I give it a 7.5 rating. The last two episodes made me bumped my original rating from 6.0 to 7,5 because Xiang Yuan character became mature and showed her support and encouragement for her BF and family.
