I think it's probably because of her mother that she can remain so calm under pressure XD
probably... but it's also probably due to them enabling the mother that she's like that... for instance, that scene where the mother went to her work to plead for the Xin family with Yao - that is highly inappropriate. She was totally upset. When she spoke to her mother at home though, her mother argued valid points and she just backed off and went and had a heart to heart eith her brother instead. She never explained to her mother what was so inappropriate with her actions. Even asking the grandmother for help, she was upset, tried talking to the mother but she never fully explained why. So the mother just keeps doing the same thing cos she doesn't see and wasn't informed what was so wrong with it.
She loves her mother, and no matter how much aprents are, children should not bevahe badlt. Also we as a vierwer…
No matter what, children shouldn't behave badly towards the parents?! That kind of blanket generalisation is dangerous. If the parent's abusive, children shouldn't behave badly still?! That kind of culture is how abuse is perpetuated from generation to generation!
As a character, she ain't blind. She is still aware of what her mother's doing and is like. She's very tolerant of her mother, hence my comment. Before watching cdramas, I'd be hella pissed off eith the mother but after watching so many cdramas now, I understand where that kind of behaviour comes from but still frustrating to watch.
So far, I'm very enviable of Huan's temperament... how she can be so calm under a lot of circumstances thrown at her... not the least her mother's personality. I also love the relationship between her and her brother, so healthy and caring.
FL's acting is cringey and embarrassing, dialogue quite juvenile and annoying or maybe it seemed that way due to its delivery... endured cos I don't mind the ML and a big fan of 2ML, and the story was cute, but unbearable at ep26... dropped
cute, fluffy and my heart fluttered once or twice with the ML's delivery but way too long... what was with the filler eps at the end?! They dealt well with some issues. One thing that ruined it for me was their overacting... I get it it's a romcom but no need for the Jim Carrey-esque expressions... and they never resolved his relationship with his parents...if they were going full on fluffy at the end, they could've shown some shots of the blended family together...
I really like how the show is showing how people around a patient are affected by ALS as well... and not just emotionally but practically and financially. Everyone's putting on stellar performances but whilst it's all sad, I can't help but feel the warmth radiating, I esp appreciated her Dad's sentiments and their relationship, very supportive and sweet. Only annoying character is the best friend. The actress is like this in her other dramas and I'm not a big fan of hers so I ffwd any screentime with her.
in Canada, we cannot share patient's info to their family members or friends because of PIPEDA (Canada's version…
I'm sure the show skipped the essential part and the dr would've sought his permission before discussing his medical condition with anyone. I'd like to think it was universal that no health professional can discuss a patient's condition and in this case, she's not even his wife.
It was pretty weak for a revenge series... not clever enough and just predictable... acting was satisfactory... wish they got someone a bit more desirable as the villain as then could've been a bit more believable... very women-driven but in a almost degrading way... as if these wimen only knew how to get power by marrying men, blackmailing men, sleeping with them etc... does that make it more relateable? I doubt it. It was frustrating to watch the naivety in planning out plots... it looks like they're setting up for S2? hopefully that's a faster pace, this one dragged... may have been on purpose but frustrating nonetheless
