your hatred for the dishonesty is valid. In its defence, the scene is written with a slightly light, almost playful tone, not as a serious ethical dilemma. So treating it like a moral breach feels a bit disproportionate to how the story frames it.

Just a thought... why not just do a whole drama set in 1983?! Why the need for transmigration? If the main plot was that she knew how to deal with everything cos she had lived already, with logic thrown out the whole drama, Im sure they could've come up with some explanation... they spent 2 seconds sending her back that it just seemed unnecessary to have had the present timeline to begin with.

Who would prefer Du Zhaohui? He's slimy and creepy with no boundaries. The FL treats him as a joke.

I think the writers meant for her to experience love but they wanted a heroine who didn't rely on love for happiness or self-fulfilment. Many other cdramas would have a female centric theme going after their careers but then spend more time crying due to some romance 🙄 it all depends on how they write it obviously but I'm glad they took it this way, why not have her as the central character for once and him for support.

I don't think ZLH needs anyone else to be downplayed in order to be highlighted 🤭

Ill just skip the leads and go to Li Jun Xian - his profile picture really doesn't do him justice. I love him in all the support roles. This one is his cutest so far though, and the funniest.

Loved it! Of course there were flaws but I ain't gonna dwell on them, as with 40 eps, it'll be hard not to have any. However, the cinematography alone with ZLH makes it unforgettable for me. Story was a bit long-winded and by the end I really didn't care much about who, when ir why. I ffwd a lot of Qi Min and Yu storyline because I didn't care much for them, Baoer held my interest more. Romance was 😍

Try and understand him first, which also leads to your ques, why is he obsessed with a mother who left him? abandonment issues... that's self-explanatory, children abandoned by a parent is traumatised, in whatever form that trauma takes is whatever form it manifests, it'snot for anyone else to say how he should react or why he shouldnt even react... drawing is the one thing that makes Chan feel alive, who is anybody to tell him to stop, let alone his father, who is meant to protect and nurture him? Your culture might expect that so you might understand the father and why he's like that.
