i just wanna kill the mother. The way she neglects her own child just nauseates me. i feel bad for the fl
I'm intrigued by your comment because it's one of very few...early in the airing most were ranting about what a terrible, jealous daughter she was, to be so resentful of the foster kids. I would love for the mother character to be fleshed out a bit, so we understand why she neglected her daughter and took on so many foster children.
I just had a skin crawling thought...PLEASE let this be "Fruits Basket", and not a remake of the pretty and dead-eyed, soul-less "Knights of The Zodiac" π₯Ά
The two diseases on the cigarette packets - Stroke and lung cancer; is this an 'in' joke because they're both…
To explain with complete clarity... Cigarette packets in SK, have warning labels showing graphic images of the ways in which smoking can kill you. (Same in Australia) At the convenience store when she asks for cigarettes, Byeon Woo Seok offers her a choice between Lung Cancer or Stroke - I thought it might be a cheeky reference to some of the ways in which he died in LR, but evidently it's not. *sigh* πΆπ«₯
They probably had this debate in the translation group. I'd much rather have had "geek" instead of "nerd." I would…
I would still argue for Otaku. The nuances straight from Japanese, are pretty commonly understood in English, and geek and nerd are not really 'it'. As I said, it's in common usage in English now.
I know commenting about this here, has no effect, but I just want to vent... The subs translation of otaku to nerd, is starting to grate. Otaku has widespread usage in English. Much like Kimchi, it doesn't need translation!
I agree! And yes, he's a Catholic priest. The character gives me totally creepy vibes. π€ ...but that might be…
I know MANY Catholics who absolutely have π¬ but I am with you in the ick. But I, also could NEVER understand having a crush on a teacher, so it's definitely a me thing π
Ep 3; Seems a bit (and by bit I mean very) hypocritical that an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist is making a fuss about being poked at with a sample stick! π
I would love for the mother character to be fleshed out a bit, so we understand why she neglected her daughter and took on so many foster children.
Let it be something wholly original and amazing π
