Ahh this title is annoyingly axiomatic. Who else but K-drama actors!?

I'm in awe of how Jung Ji So has managed to make the same facial expressions (or lack of expressions) as Song Hye Kyo. This is worth watching just for her parts alone.
But SHK is definitely made for this role. Her general kind of coldness (IMO) is perfect here, and has finally made me think she may have hidden depths. More complex villain roles for her please 🙏

I'm really enjoying the comedy here - not being slap(stick)ed over the head with it, nor having the cast over-act so the audience 'gets it', is such a pleasure. The writers, directors and cast, clearly respect their audience.

Ep6 I understand it is a 'plot device' to create an opportunity for complications but seriously?! THIS. Is the perfect moment to tell Shin Won that you are Hyun Seon. So he AND the king, can protect you. Oh and so. You know! 🤔 You could actually qualify as a potential Crown Princess (being the REAL daughter of a noble) GAH SO FRUSTRATING!
Thinking I may need a break ftom KDramas and all the tropey tropism. ...But they're SO PRETTY AND ENTERTAINING!!!

The only novel I've read here is 'Grandmasters of Demonic Cultivation' and I did enjoy the drama as well. I loved watching YAMG and LLTG. BUT Considering I ALWAYS prefer the book to the ...whatever way it's presented...this article is perfection for me. Thanks again😍 Now to find translations...

This left me wanting too. But what's sticking as the MOST disappointing thing is; this cast is freaking amazing, and just was NOT put to good enough use! I admit I watched it to completion but I was left completely unsatisfied. It's always so intriguing to me that so many others have the opposite view to me 🤷 But I'm even more intrigued when we agree 😁

I totally agree with your points....excepting for the 'worst writer' vote. For me that goes to the writer of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Yep. I said it!

The description above, is hilariously brief.

They both have done multiple projects that IMO, made social statements. So I expect it won’t just be "...a secret love affair played fast and loose..." There will be a better reason than just lust.

I feel that Tiffany Hsu and Edward Chen being the leads here, we can pretty much disregard the current description of the drama...there is DEFINITELY going to be more to it!

I have. He is amazing in that but I think it's a completely different role to this.

I was really struggling with Song Deok Ho's role in this. He plays the derpy cop well, but it just seemed like a criminal waste of his talent (pun intended 🤭). But ep 12 puts me right back on track! We are slowly seeing the layers laid bare.
This show seems to me to be improving with each ep.

Now if Baek Dong Joo could just be allowed to show a bit of 'grown-up' (i.e.late 20s adults) chemistry with Kim Tae Hee, then I'll be satisfied.

I think maybe a little bit fluffy, but not to the max 😆. IMO the themes around female relationships and issues, are too rarely portrayed in dramas, at this point in time, for it to be considered as completely fluffy.
It is gently done though so it's a VERY satisfying watch.
