I understand you. Personally from the trailers I knew it would be a romance-centered show. Even in the description here on MDL it says Genre : Historical, romance. But I was really iffy cause sometimes trailers are misleading and in the actual drama we don't have too many scenes of the main pairing (I saw a lot of dramas failing that department). But surprisingly the drama is filled with romantic scenes btw the leads.

Civilisations are built around rivers/Valley : the Nile valley in Africa whose source is the Great lakes Area in (Kongo, Rwanda, Kenya etc...), The Indus Valley in India, The Yangzte/Yellow River in China, Mesopotamia (which means between 2 rivers) with the Tiger and Euphrata rivers, The Amazonia River in South America etc... like Agriculture, Rivers enable Civilisations to exist the way our mothers give life to us. It is no wonder that when we are in our moms tummies we grow in water.

Isn't it ironic how Song was advocation for confucianism but in the meanwhile the officials were killing the generals that were defending their country just cause Song emperors (since the 1st two ones were usurpators generals) and scholars had a huge distrusts in strong and efficient generals overall ! I mean they could have used those confucianism teachings and guide those generals to never plot against the emperors rather than eliminating them. Could have saved the empire and many lives.
