I just notice that Ae Jin's mother have secret or something, I don't know why but I will try to read the webtoon
I don't know if this is cause of budget but almost each and every characters are too layered to only broadcast 20 min per episodes (and 13 episodes ?! is a joke !). 45 min at least to treat every characters, their backstory, their psychology and evolution or growth etc... would have been for the best and enhanced the quality of the drama. This drama is the most interesting kdrama airing cause even we are shown how the main lead is not all nice girl. She does not deserves to be bullied and I can relate with some of her psychological difficulties cause of low self esteem but she can very problematic as well and do the wrong things (even here I can relate to her). She is not your typical lovely (annoyingly) adorable female Asian dramas usually push. Appart from the bully part HaNeul appears nicer than her victim. And in ep 6 it seems AeJin will cross the line with her mom and Haneul will use violence in a defensive way
It's interesting how different Ae Jin and Ha Neul treat their mothers. At this point it seems like Ha Neul which…
HaNeul is a bully and practice something that can push people to suicide. No matter how they try and make her sympathetic being a bully towards your schoolmates is a huge no no especially when you know you got a sick mother. AeJin is bullied but she can hurt those who really care for her (her parents and JinSung) and can be very b.tchy as well (teaser of ep 6). Both are grey. The purest of them all is JinSung (I don't believe he is the one that sent the video). HoIn character is crazy. He is like a politician. His behaviour tends to suggest he might fall for AeJin later on by the way looked at her on the rooftop or his bodylanguage that tends to always get closer to her without him being aware of it ( compared to HaNeul where he keeps his distance) but I don't know. He is too much of a manipulator. On episode 6 he will eat with AeJin on the rooftop as if he wants to take JinSung spot. This guy likes to play. I wish we get a backstory of HoIn and why he is like that. What are his motivations ? This drama there is no black and white.
Look who is talking. Shall I refresh your memory ? You were the one telling me to go and "choke" 1st because of a plagiat kdrama ! Are you crazy ? Go and look yourself into the mirror !
My opinion is ,if you don't like an actor or actress ,just keep it to yourself plz don't criticize becuz they…
Are you a dictator ? Her bulging-eyed-and-constant-pouty acting is bad. She gets to play in interesting dramas but so far her portrayals have been the weakest point of them all for me to the point I have to stop midway. Hopefully she gets better at using her facial features.
So far so good. I watched 2 episodes and I liked what I have seen. It picked my interest and I want to know who is the one that knows her secret. My guts are telling this is the trainee guy. I like the female lead acting here and something about her does not scream "typical". Matter of fact when she wear that wig and have make up on her face she looks like a Ploy Cherman in her prime (those who knows Ploy Cherman know what I mean). And Ploy Cherman does not have your "typical Asian Female lead" type of beauty that have been promoted. I might be in the minority but I like the colour grading of that show as well which is dark like a serious thriller genre. This makes the idol actors look more real and not too dollish (which I hate). The acting is globally fine so far. If the rest of the drama is even better than what we see now, it will THE dark horse Asian drama for me and I will keep my eye on Shim Dal Gi (hopefully in her next drama she keeps her hair long and is not uglified so she can channel that Ploy Cherman-in-her-prime vibe that has been missing in kdramaland for the longest).
