I think there is explanation in the novel, at least I read it somewhere here - the tribulation is over. The tribulation was about sacrificing, and both Shanggu and Baijue were ready to sacrifice themselves. Seeing this, Ancient god brought Baijue back.
No( He is alone, but I'd say his crush on Shanggu is gone. He is also a very good uncle to her son and takes care about some bureaucratic issues in god realm instead of Zhiyang now. He also decided not to drink anymore and to never fall in love. I am not sure if ALP ratings in China will allow creators to make a sequel about Tianqi/Yuemi, but maybe initially it was planned, that's why their story does not have any ending, but in the middle of the series a girl Bai Shuo appears who is in fact Yuemi's incarnation.
I came to say this drama is the best example that we should give dramas a chance. I myself wrote here long time ago, that I was bored watching first episodes. I also heard back then about low douban ratings and that drama was smashed by some bloggers, but I continued watching anyway, and I am so happy I did. Maybe those first episodes could be done better to attract more viewers, but now when I re-watch them, I find them adorable - it's so nice to see the "happy times" before everything collapsed, everyone was so different back then. After about ten episodes drama started to have very good pacing and very strong plot, which was complicated enough to hold for another 40 episodes without dragging or unnecessary additional subplots. Usually I get tired of dramas after about 30 episodes, but this was not the case - episodes kept being very exciting and full of action and emotions. 👍
I finished!!! It was great in general, and I don't even want to look for any flaws right now, but we do need a small additional episode where everyone will be finally reunited and happy 😭😭😭 And I personally need a sequel about Tiangi and Yuemi or her reincarnation. He said he doesn't plan to ever love anyone... you wish! 😋
About 10 episodes in and just wanted to ask about Yuemi and Tianqi. I'm not looking for specific spoilers but…
As far as I undertood, one of the characters who appears in the second half of the story is Yuemi's incarnation. But I think they will meet with Tainqi at the very very end. I also think there is a story from novel's author about these two, called something like "God Bai Shuo", at least I think so after reading some chinese fans commments.
