Agjfkfhf, I didn't like the finale. Probably I will later write why - as well as some other complains about the whole drama, but tonight I just came to praise Deng Wei. It's not only that he looks good. Although he looks really fine! But the way he moves, speaks (I guess here we should praise voice actor), the way his gaze becomes angry or affectionate, the way his rare smile makes the whole world brighten!... Just pay attention how he sits, stands, how he takes a cup of tea, how he touches QingQing in romantic scenes, so delicate, so classy [so hot]. You have that feeling, when you observe him, that he is someone noble, someone special, powerful. Sometimes he seems very young and innocent, sometimes sophisticated and bored, sometimes cold, sometimes incredibly warm. It's great to know you, Deng Wei. I will keep an eye on you.
Although I enjoyed LYN and ZLS chemistry as a couple, as well as their couple dynamic as Haoyan, there is a flaw…
I think her feeling to Shuyu were without development for such a long time, that when she finally confessed, they were smoldering. She was also aware that he liked Changge, so her confession was something she did just for the sake of doing, and also because she was ready for love, she wanted to have romantic relationships.
When I look back, I think she never considered Hao Du romantically, because he did everything to not let her think that. There were moments when she looked at him as if expecting to say something, which would not be about "I am your guard and will protect you", but he never did, and even after competition she had to push him say it. In their scene in the fields, when she tells him she knows that he saved Changge, I sense even disappointment on her side, when he repeats that he is there to protect her on emperor's order.
Everything she told him after the fight confirms that she was thinking about him a lot. But I think she indeed never dared to even assume he had romantic feelings to her, that's why it was important for her to hear him telling directly that he was fighting for her, not for dynasty or duty.
Him entering competition indeed boosted her emotions, and made her scared that she could lose him, and it felt awful. I'd say at that moment she fell in love, while before she just liked him. I can also see while watching their confession scene, that when he kept insisting that he had no romantic motive, she was nearly crying and probably even couldn't explain to herself why it hurt so much. It was a bit like: I am hanging on the cliff here, ready to fall in love with you, so are you going to push me and fall with me or friendzone me? Quite interesting dynamics actually :) She developed deeper feeling after they got engaged, you can see that in their several scenes afterwards. Creators could show more of that and explain more, but nothing is perfect in c-dramas :D
As for Hao Du, I think it was quite clear when he fell in love, and I like his love line probably the most in the whole story, but I would be glad to read any other insight on that. :)
His motive is not great but you know Fate deity is not that powerful, he just is like a heavenly record keeper…
It's ok, I watched raws partially and am not afraid of spoilers :) I'll come to share some thoughts in the evening, although they might be mostly complaints, haha. I might be satisfied with both couples endings though, I already think that main couple is lucky to have a better ending than in the game.

I did knew he was a villain even before the drama aired, but in the progress of the story he seemed to be... fine. Sometimes he seemed even to be a better person than Dragon King, haha. I haven't yet watched 35-36 with subs, so I don't yet know all the details, hope he indeed orchestrated a lot of events, that could bring me some satisfaction :D But I assumed that he was also behind the attack on QQ in her past life and that back then he wanted to steal that stone which Dragon King absorbed. But it seems he wasn't? That will be another disappointment for me.

If he wanted more power, it should have been established before in the story. But the only moment when you feel he is not satisfied about something is when Dragon King doesn't even thank him for help. So I'd assume he needs more appreciation, and I would also assume he does need friendship although he all the time denies the importance of love. They could use all these, but no, just power?..
For me this drama is very action and emotion packed. It has great character development, slow burn romance, great acting, some very good fight scenes. And there are many very very likeble and truly good people in it. And a particular thing I like about it is how safe you feel about its men, who are very reliable and devoted to the women they like/love.
Who said "I like you or love you first?" Or never said, but showed love by their actions. Changge or Sun , Leyan…
Ridiculously, but one of the clearest confessions we have in this drama is when Leyan confesses to Shuyu (facepalm) :D Then Mu Jin and Mimi scene on the bridge and later when they kiss. Other couples were following the rule: actions speak louder :)
I think for me it felt that Sun's feelings were already very deep when he told "she better hate me than herself".
Changge felt her heart was already not hers during their street run.
Hao Du just went: "I want to be your husband", lol. But I guess when he hugged Leyan on the street after she ran to meet Changge, that was his first silent confession.
And as for Leyan, I like her happy face in the scene when Shuyu told her that Hao Du helped Changge to escape. Also, the way she was angry at him and ignoring him, it felt like her feelings were hurt, so she should have had them already *_*
Although I already knew the most part of XQX and QQ past story, I was nearly in tears anyway yesterday, when watching episode 34 with subs. Great acting! Drama's account released bts of these scenes, and you can see how emotional it was for actors, that they even needed to hug to calm dawn *_* https://twitter.com/PanMeiyeCola_/status/1402484496251834370
I joked some time ago that there will be no explanation why Mingge Xingjun turns evil, but looks like it was not a joke. He is evil just because? Come on, you can't just make a character totally change his behavior and tell us he was always like that without a reason. That is an unbelievable twist and a lazy writing.
Just my opinion, but I noticed Lusi and WL not having the same chemistry together at events like Reba and WL.…
Ehm, the filming has not even started, lol, how can you tell anything about chemistry? And I guess both of them were very much aware, that many fans were unsatisfied by the fact, that this drama was announced so soon after TLB. So both of them were probably very nervous. Give them a chance. Maybe drama will be fantastic. All the actors will be filming with other people, if you are actors' fan and not just cp fan - then support them in everything. If you are just a cp fan, enjoy your cp, and don't scold other cps )
I was talking to my cousin today about some useless scenes that could've been excluded from the drama. Fore example,…
I think this plot brought up an important issue of human trafficking, existing since ancient times. It was a really scary time for Leyan, she discovered the darkest human side. It made her stronger, but it didn't make her less kind, which is nice. It was ok to watch this plot for the first time, but rewatching might not be that exciting, as it was sad and creepy without some epic resolution, but that feels kind of realistic.
Just don't hate the actor, he is a very nice person. I hope it's his last villain :(
I knew he was a villain, so I was suspicious all the time. But at certain point just before the real hints in episodes 30-32, I felt that I actually don't want him to turn evil, moreover I don't think creators will give a good reason for that. He will turn evil just because. Just because there had to be a villain. The script is really weak(

Leyan and Hao Du talking about her feelings to Shuyu after the competition - basically, those things she told Changge during girls chat.
Situ Langlang and little Yuan together *_*
I also would love to see post-canon Sheer.
